Marketplace - Insufficient Space Error - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Dear All,
I have a brand new HTC One M8, booted up, installed & updated all the Google Apps and bloatware. Now when I try to update HTC Gallery, Zoe, or even download a larger app like games or etc. I get "insufficient space" error in Google marketplace.
I have searched XDA and found suggestions to use other apps like MarketFix, Cache Fixer, however I've had no success with these options. Does any1 have any other methods I can try. Is the internal storage of the HTC one M8 that small?
Appreciate your help

Surely you've actually checked in storage settings what's available?

[Q] can't see an installed application in the list, but it's taking up space

I own a rooted HTC Desire running Froyo.
I installed an APK file from my computer using HTC Sync, the installation failed with a "parsing error" message on the phone screen.
Right after that I got a notification that the phone storage is getting low.
Before installing I had a bit more than 20mb internale space, and after installing i was left with only 0.8mb. The size of the APK is around 18mb.
The problem is I can't find the app anywhere on the phone, did a search using Astro.
Any ideas on what might have happened and how can I fix it?
That's really annoying, since the desire already has very limited internal storage.
Any syggestion will be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Desire Update 2.13.720.2

Hey I a user from India.. Got the update 2.13.720.2.. After the update I have noticed a problem that the apps stored on the sd card dont get updated.. they get downloaded.. On installation it shows "Unknown Error - 18".. But if the app is moved back to phone memory it gets updated.. Also any apps that install directly to sd card also show the same error.. As suggested by HTC support I performed a factory reset still the problem continues.. Please help me with a solution..
Any help is appreciated... I hv not encountered anyone else facing the same problem... I hv contacted HTC support again but Im not too hopeful...
Also noticed another thing.. Apps which directly install to sd card do not get installed even with the application installer through the HTC sync software...
Well, even I upgraded to 2.13.720.2 but didn't notice any issue but except this "All the widgets on the home screen will have duplicates sitting on top of it" So you will have to delete all the widgets which is on the "first layer" the ones behind these works fine.

[Q] Insufficient storage available

Just bought GN for a few days... restored apps from my Atrix to GN with Mybackup...
When updating apps in Market, most updated but Friendcast... error "Insufficient storage available"...(but there is still 12Gb memory)
then, I deleted some big apps as well as the Friendcast... tried to install Friendcast again but failed with same reason... (also failed to install Flash and some other apps in Market with same error)
But there is no problem to import files with USB or AirDroid...
Pls help and advise how to fix it. (before I reset the device as my least priority)
Thousand thanks.

Haven't really heard of this before but off the top of my head, my first guess would be perhaps the applications (in their manifest file the app author made) are set to auto install to the /sdcard instead of to the device internal memory? If so, and your "sdcard" allocated memory is full, this could trigger the insufficient space error message.
Check out my first suggestion as that is the only suggestion which comes to mind. If that doesn't help, post back and I guess we'll see what other options there might.
I'm sure somebody else will probably have a few good suggestions also which might help!
Thanks joeykrim.
u are right... since it is able to update paradise island (2Xmb), but some smaller apps doesn't.... like Friendcast, winamp...
But i have no idea what to do at this moment... sigh....
... just notified 1X apps need to update in Market...
after updated, 4 left with same error msg...
ie, Google map, Multi Touch Tester, QuickPic and LINE....
then, i tried to update again and updated LINE, ie, rest 3 left....
then, i tried again and again... still these 3 left...

Looks like you took the hard way
I had the same problem a couple of times. The easiest way to solve it is to run Lucky Patcher and you'll see a toast notification that unused data/odex has been removed. That should solve the problem.
Hit 'Thanks' if it helped. Cheers!

App update problem

I am running just a stock rom 4.0.4 with HTC sense 4.1 on top.
Currently when I try to update any of my existing apps e.g Ebay it downloads the file but then when installing it says insufficient storage and aborts.
In terms of storage I have 1.52gb internal and 21.94gb phone storage so plenty free.
This doesnt seem to affect downloading new apps.
Thanks for any help or pointers you can give.

M8 dual sim play store games doesn't work

Hi,
I've updated my device to Lolipop (M8 dual sim), no root, no custom ROM, and when I'm trying to install few free games from playstore I'm getting an error message:
for ex. Moto Loko HD
Downloading...finished
Installing... "Moto Loko HD" could not be downloaded due to an error. (963).
I've tried to delete play store cache, and data, and force stop, but still the same message.
Does someone have any ideas?
L.E. can be closed, the solution is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/getting-error-code-963-907-play-store-t3119007
Do check your internal storage space if there's any left to take the file size of the game you're installing.
