Will we receive this update

4.4.4 is not L... It's KitKat. But yes, most likely the LG G2 with be getting the next version of Android (Android L)
A sprint rep told me we will have it by the end of July.

First of all, Sprint reps wouldn't know and secondly LG doesn't even know because it's in Googles hands! Until the source code is available on Google's servers, no one will get it.
As for dates, I'd assume we'll get it by year's end but G2 will definitely be getting it. The G3 may get first dibs, though.
I rather have android L

Right now Sprint is working on a ZVD update which will still be 4.4.2. The rdf is up for ZVD.

It appears that Google has released a 4.2 update for the international OG as of late March. Could it be possible that we get 4.2 update after sprint finishes putting their crapware on it?
I also hear that LG is skipping the 4.3 update and going straight to 5.0 KLP. Late 2012 devices are included.
My OG came with 4.1.2 out the box, I'm sure we should get 4.2 stock by the end of the year and decent LTE

well... you know what they say: ¨if u want the latest update, buy the latest handset¨ and with lgog2 around the corner we'll have to just wait and see...

That's just a misprint in the title of the article, the update described is the 4.1.2 release
Sent from my LG-LS970 using Tapatalk 4
I doubt it sprint so much holding a update back... It still relies on manufacturer to make and push the update to sprint.... Lg is shifted focus to it new lg g2 so in turn we have became low priority...
Lg isnt worried about almost year old model. Its not the product that is having to compete with the likes of the s4/HTC 1... Their will be an update for us but I believe it won't be well into the g2 launch before we get a kick back for updates and that....

Idk I'm just/ have been looking forward to this update forever. Have been dissapointed because I believe this is one of the top devices, at least top two (other being Nexus 5), to have Spark.

Modem there have been tests, some non Spark devices perform better. In this situation out of the cutrent Sprint Spark capable (update or not) G2 and N5 outperform the other few.

Seems like if you go to the LG site and check the ls980 it says there should be a ZVB update on the way.
Sent from LG-G2 D800 on AEONFLEX 4.4.2
I thought it was determined that ZVC was ZVB.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
To keep the flow ZVC test was designated as ZVB when released. Thats what the site is showing. If we got the real ZVB it would be a regression lol, LG would be the first mobile company to do so lol.
We should be getting another update yeah, knock code should be coming anytime...but it won't be zvb.

If you want out use either one of the other major carriers buy out your contract deal.
All in all, sometimes putting up with a little bull ****, for less is worth it.
As for me being disabled with a wife and children. Money is more important then an upgrade. And sprint is cheaper.
So I deal with it.

It does, though sometimes the updates are not just sprint but manufacturers because of sprint.
We have a different NFC chip then the other versions of our phones. CDMA of sprint is antiquated.
There have been 5 updates to the Sprint G2 since it's release. That's quite a few yes?
