Disable Knock On (Double tap while screen off) - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to turn off the "Knock On" feature?
I've looked in the settings menu, but I can't find it in any options.

I believe you need to be rooted to disable it. I know in sphinX ROM there is a hidden menu for disabling it, but I haven't seen one in the regular menu.

It should probably be under the Gestures menu really, just like it is on the LG G2.

I was in sphinX ROM, you can post in the threat and ask the Dev if he knows how to access it outside the ROM.

Are you on a TouchWiz ROM or AOSP ROM? Not sure how on TouchWiz, but I know it can be changed in AOSP ROMS. I've failed to make it work harder/or weaker on TouchWiz ROMS.
This thread has info on how to do it on AOSP, but like I've said can't get it working on TouchWiz.
On stock TW

(MOD) how to disable home button from waking up your screen. Must have root.

I was having a lot of issues with the home button waking my phone while my phone was in my pocket and it was driving me crazy so I figured out how to disable it. And I figured some other note 3 users might want to do the same. So here it is.
You must have root
And app like root explorer
Go to root, system, usr, keylayout, scroll down to the file gpio-keys.kl, Mount to R/W and open with text editor. You'll see the key layout for wake selections on the one listed as HOME delete the word wake and all the spaces between it, now hit menu and save and exit.
View attachment 2335081 before edit
View attachment 2335082 finished edit
If you can't view the pictures on the mobile app just open in a browser and you should be able to see them fine.
Once that's done reboot the phone and the home button won't wake the device anymore.
Enjoy

Your "before" is coming up invalid, and "after" is so small...it looks like a blur after zooming in. Please upload new pics if you can, this is something worth trying out. Thank you.
this.......is...my BOOM stick!!!
I noticed that, I will get on my computer and fix the pictures.

This can also be done by installing exposed framework and the wanam app from the market. Many other customization as well. I have found that absolutely every single settings work within the wanam app except the multi window setting.

Thanks for mentioning the exposed framework. It does work amazing if you want to add a lot of changes. but if you just need the button disabled, it is easy to edit those 3 wake commands.
What ever works best.

No but if you open your text messages, click menu button, then settings, then the top right option for more settings, the unchecked screen on. That will turn that off for you.

What rom are you wanting this on. Almost all aosp roms have that option most require you to turn it on in the hidden developers menu.

[Q] Why Can't I Activate Swype To Unlock?

The option for none and Swype are greyed out. Currently, I have the fingerprint option active. How do I disable it to activate just Swype?
Anyone?
I know there was another thread or post about this recently but I can't seem to find it. And there was a definite solution. Try to search for it. I'll do the same.
