New T-Mo Based ROM? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

I need some help. I am not new to flashing roms and custom firmware but it has been quite some time since I've done so.
I'm currently on Jedi Master 17 (4.1.2) and want a newer more updated rom for my phone. I want the rom to have tmobiles wifi calling because I use this a lot at work i barely have any reception in a hospital on the first floor.
I was looking at rom of thrones and see it based on 4.4.2 but theres some stuff about KNOX and not being able to flash back to jedi in case I have any issues? Also I assume there is no wifi calling on this since its from the n7105 correct?
What do you guys think about flashed stock and updating through OTA? Would I be able to root and flash after that or no?
About the warranty I do not really care I am way out of it since I bought this phone at launch.
Please help me I haven't been around the flashing android scene for over a year. Thanks.

I personally go with Jedi X2, Agni kernel (so I don't have to update my bootloader yet maintain wifi) and spent some time making certain that I read up on the quirks that rom brought with it. There are other 4.3 tw tmobile roms but Jedi X is one of the more interesting. Conch Republic is another.
Wifi calling is only available for our device on official Tmo SGH-T889 release based ROMs.

It's in the Note II N7105 section. The are 2 versions in the thread. Get 3.9.7 as it's built for 4.3 TW roms. 4.2.3 is for 4.4 roms.

You want tmobile based roms or samsung touchwiz based roms? I would understand why you want touchwiz based because you get s note and other stuff. tmobile based roms, I assume it just come with tmobile bloatware
Some touchwiz roms: Jedi, MyRom, and Tweaked Rom

The tmo based ROM refers to the TW ROM built for a tmo distributed device. ROMs built for such devices feature wifi calling which while may be considered bloat by some, may be a critically necessary feature for others. YMMV.

Note 2 (T889) 4.4.2 KitKat ?

Sorry if this is a repost, but is there a 4.4.2 KitKat yet for the T889 model aka Tmobile
This is the only TouchWizz KitKat Rom that's been posted on the Development Threads. Built from the Nordic Based Firmware.
But you can use AT&T Roms on our T889 and they will work.
Rom Of Thrones
Yes there are a few of them. Look in the development section.

Out of the AT&T roms you have flash which did you like best?
i cant seem to find a stock 4.4.2 note 2 rom for ATT
also since im tmobile, do i need to find a modem/radio to flash?
Im on DN3 Beta 2 right now. So far I haven't had any black screen freezes which I had on Beta 1. I like it a lot.
The other Rom I liked before DN3 (4.4.2 base) was released was a test Rom. It didn't have a name. But you can find it on the AT&T General Section by bsbachert.. It was only Beta 1 at the time. It's now on Beta 2 but I haven't tried it.
The only reason I like these Roms are simple. Transparent AccuWeather and Colored Emojis (its standard now tho) Everything else is just a plus.
DN3, to me, is feature rich and most of them I don't use.
I might go back to that test rom and just add the Note 3 Launcher because the launcher on that Rom wasn't sized correctly.

The only US carrier to release a Note 2 OTA is Sprint. AT&T hasn't yet. The ones floating around on AT&T and Tmo forums are based on the Nordic N7105 rom.

Not as is. It would be a train wreck. Sprint roms don't translate add well to GSM devices. You won't get anything more from theirs than from the existing work on the Nordic releases. Try ROM of Thrones from mattlowry or eZCAT from ezdubzitmk4. They are a decent option. They are a bit quirky simply because they are based on TW. TW kitkat broke some functionality by design.

I'm using ezcat right now. Running pretty well with no issues. Lots of neat features. I recommend a full wipe, then flash rom, keyboard fix, then s5 keyboard, modem and then go to first boot. Then reboot into recovery and flash supersu.
I also like the stock ui so I flashed that mod as well after flashing supersu.
No issues as of yet liking it so far.

TW ROM Recommendation

Hey, I'm using a N900T, and was wondering if there are any TW ROMs that are compatible with mines with a clean international base. I don't use WiFi calling or anything, so I don't need it. I can do without the T-Mobile customizations.

For quite a while, the t-mobile update was the most current update period and ran just as stabile as any international rom. I recommend trying the recent nf1 room from t-mobile and using Titanium backup to freeze unwanted bloat. Can't go wrong with either effortless or vision.

Ironically I'm using a T-Mobile ROM with almost every T-Mobile app ripped out with TB. I don't care much for the tmo boot animations etc. I have to see if this is that nf1 you said. I'll check into your other mentions.

So you got a N900T Tmobile phone and want the best and most compatible international
custom rom, well there is only one to choose from in that catagory and it's the X-NOTE.
Unlike other N9005 roms this one does not need any wifi/nfc/bluetooth fix file for it to work.
But best of all it's truly a work of art and it will even work properly on the Tmoble network
without the need to flash any Tmobile kernels.
It comes bundled in the Aroma installer which has ton's of options as to what exactly
you want to install and what you would call junk/bloat and so forth.
But if your really into a stripped down rom and only want more or less the very
basics, why not simply flash a AOSP/CM CyanogenMOD rom?
Those have so much ripped out that the twrp/cwm flashable zip file including the
gapps is way under 3-4 hundred megs in size compared to the 1.4 to 1.8GB
full featured custom roms.
Here is the link to the X-NOTE International thread where you can read all about
it before downloading: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472301
Good luck!

I use AOSP(I have a backup of CM11) and Touchwiz, but when I use Touchwiz, I would rather have it the way Samsung would probably want it, without carrier junk. I'll check into X-Note too. I think it's safe to say that I'm still new to the Note 3 scene.

I've been looking for a new ROM. X-Note looks good, but i'm wondering how well it works on the N900T. I know you can install it with a patch and kernel, but does it run the way it's supposed to if it really was made for the international version of the Note 3?

I am running X-Note now and I have a Tmobile branded N900T Unlocked Note 3 and
the x-note rom works great with it.
One of the niceties about it is the fact that you don't need to apply or flash any patches
for the wifi/nfc/bluetooth to work properly and you don't even need to flash a kernel.
The X-note rom is so compatible to the Note 3 N900T that all it really needs is a full
and complete wipe including factory reset in twrp/cwm recovery before flashing.
Good luck!

[Q] TMO S3 ROMs with WiFI Calling?

So I have searched around and so far I have been unable to find a custom ROM that mentions support for TMO's WiFi calling. Are there any such ROMs or am I just SoL?
If there are not any that support it, any suggestions for the best running S3 ROM? I am about to deploy (hence the desire for WiFi calling) and I am still running on an old 4.1.2 Hyperdrive ROM. I'd like to update my ROM to a KitKat based one before I go, but I don't have a lot of time to tinker with it on the offhand chance that it does not install clean. So I am looking for something solid. If the kernel needs to be updated to run a particular ROM, please note that in your replies so that I can find the right one if needed.
S3 Model# SGH-T999 (non LTE)
Baseband Ver. T999UVUEMJ4
Kernel: 3.0.31 - 370274 (I remember this is a custom kernel, but I don't remember who made it, just that it is from 2012)
Build# JZO54K.T999VRBMB1

Moving to another ROM (JEDI specifically): THings to be Aware of?

Hey guys, I have been having more than normal dropped calls and poor signals so I have decided to move to an actual TMobile ROM.
I am coming from an AT&T based SKy Note Air G2 ROM with the MK7 modem and PSN_AGNi_pureSTOCK-v3.9.5_N7105_4.3_AROMA-signed Kernel, I also had to do a WIFI patch because I upgraded from the 4.1.2 BL to avoid Knox issues. I have TWRP back from March this year. I was wondering if I need to do anything special before installing the JEDI ROM.
Any helpful guides to install this ROM? I have checked the ROM page but couldn't get the info I want.
Can changing back to a ROM native to your carrier help with service signal?

The ROMs will work with T-Mobile, but you will probably have to manually load the T-Mo APN settings.
Which bootloader and modem are you on? If you want TW you will not have LP roms as an option, not a problem for me but others always want the latest and greatest. TW KitKat ROMs require at least the NE4 bootloader, unless you are using one of two custom kernels with the MJB bootloader.
