there is something wrong with ur phone if i were u i'd exchange it

If i'm walking it doesn't do it, it's only in a vehicle.?

That can't be right, there must be a hardware problem with your device's camera. The quality itself behind all of the movement looks great, but ofc the movement is not

Was that shot in 1080p or 4k? I saw a similar issue on the oneplus one with 4k recording where it looked very similar to your problem.

1080P in a cradle on the windshield. I have noticed if you steady it with your hand it is near enough gone, I think the OIS doesn't like the rough tick over of my van lol

Could you please test it with 60fps? Or 30fps, if the posted video was 60fps.
I think it shakes to much in the holder. As you wrote, if you hold it with your hand, than it's a lot better.

Had similar problem, if you disable auto focus the problem should go away.

1080P Video

Has anyone else noticed when you set camcorder resalution to 1080P that it ia zoomed in. Try switching between 720 and 1080 and you will instantly see what I am talking about. It is very annoying to take close videos in 1080p.
Wow. I didn't notice that.. Very odd

1080p sucks. No zoom. Very disappointed in it but overall awesome camera.
Sent From My Evo Killer!!!
There is no zoom option with 1080p. No biggie -- I'm not seeing any real difference in quality between 1080p and 720p anyway, and you can zoom plus the files are smaller.
I noticed the video was zoomed in more than the camera, but now i see the 1080p looks like its croped from the center of 720p video, or just zoomed way in ,
This seems backwards from tvs and pc screens shouldent the 1080p have the widest field of view , put your pc moniter on 800x600 and then on 1920x1200
the highest resolution has more screen space.
our phone displays may have somekind of scalling bug or wierd crop factor that changes
Need to export videos to pc and check if its still croped.

Thats what I would think. They talk about it in the anandtech review of the international version. Still don't really understand the reason though.

This is exactly what I noticed and thought myself.
1080p is pretty much useless on here, I feel that it was an afterthought. Seems the 720p has a bit of stabilization, and overall just looks better.

Exactly why I made this thread. Also, watch your two videos and notice how far zoomed in the 1080P video is compared to the 720P. I also have many issues with quality of 1080P, which is why I leave mine set to 720P.
Wow, I am extremely grateful for this thread. I just tested 1080p vs 720p on my phone and 720p seems to have some great image stabilizing and the bitrate looks higher than 1080p.
720p has IS, zoom, and looks so smooth. Couple that with the bitrate hack and you got yourself one hell of a camcorder.

There was a thread created before about this so I investigated. I have came to conclusion the 1080p is better quality. And of course better quality full screen. Watch each file at it's naive resolution. I have a dreamcolor display at 1920x1200 so I can definitely make the call on what looks better. This is my opinion on my findings.

The other issue I have found with the camera is that the settings don't survive a reboot. What's the point of editing the shortcuts if you have to redo them every time you reboot the phone or quit the camera app.
On the OG Epic, I could set the camera to black and white and it would remain until I changed it. However, on this camera, I have to set the effects every time I use the camera.
I would say that the camera is sorta flaky. Anyone know if this happens on the other Galaxy S2........

Thank you!, I can't wait to try it out when i Root my phone.
Did the 1080p get fixed I'm in Fi27 blukuban ,and the 1080p is not zoomed in anymore.
Edit, my bad I must of zoomed its still the same. I must of zoomed in the 720 then compared it , so I tricked myself
One thing I find very annoying is the frame rate temporarily freezing during panning. To say its annoying is an understatement. It drives me crazy! Even qbking's 1080p video test of the note 2 is horribly affected by it. I don't remember if my 4s did it but you couldn't change the resolution at all with it and it certainly didn't look like full res on a 1080p TV. I think it might have had the stutters too but not as bad as these phones. I loved the audio gain circuit in that phone. It wasn't easily over driven like Samsung phones are. Those where the few things I liked about it, everything else was a pita.

Take excellent night photos with Lg Camera manuell mode!

I discovered that take the option beside ISO option (to the right) a option with an S (shutter time). Take and move that to 1.0 in very dark areas, and you will be surprised and maybe a bit happy for the rest of that day like i did
Edit: You can change the ISO and the shutter time to get even better pictures in night

shutter 4 seconds - 30 if there are no flares / lights
plus: put a timer(3 seconds) because if you press the shutter button you will move the phone

How'd you do that?!
manual mode, long exposure time (8-30s), low iso (50-200).
for the "light writing" you need a light source, in that case i used the backlight of my bicycle.
due to the long long exposure time you cant do those picture "by hand", you will need a solid stand, I used a tripod.

Anyone else notice improved camera and speaker performance with 3.2 update?

My camera takes much better pictures and seems to focus faster after the update. The speakers sound noticeably better too. I know all the hype was around the ram and srgb mode but not much has been said about the camera and speakers. Anyone else notice these improvements?
Nope, but I also haven't been testing those two things. I should.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000
The camera improvement was the one thing I was looking forward to most with this update. A few sources made detailed mentions of it.
For example...
http://www.techtimes.com/articles/1...mproved-ram-management-srgb-mode-and-more.htm
Specifically:
"Audio playback quality suffered radical improvements"
"Camera functionality and quality of pictures got revamped"
I noticed the camera improvement tonight. The left is an S6 Edge. The right the 1+3. This is a dim lit bar.
I took about 50 pictures on July 4th and 98%of them were in focus and looked really good. A noticeable change.
Yes, much easier to get focused photos.
Low light performance also improved.
Which mode you guys are taking pictures mostly? HQ or HDR or normal?
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
Normal for me
How's the audio quality in videos, is there still a ton of noise suppriession?
Haven't taken many videos since the update but the ones I have sound pretty good. I don't notice any sound issues. However, the videos start with a slight delay/studder at the beginning. Haven't noticed that before.

Would you be able to post Snapchat photos from your other phones to compare? When it comes to the Pixel/XL, what makes their photos stand out is the HDR+ mode. Stock photos don't look as good without it. Maybe that's what you're seeing through Snapchat.

That makes sense because snapchat on Android doesn't actually take photos, it does a screenshot of the lens finder.
Any idea why the photo wouldn't take up the whole screen, could this be due to the camera hardware specs. This is the first Android phone I've seen do that and not sure what's causing it

Video quality

Your friends are never going to believe what you did. The only way to prove it to them is with that video you took. Rate this thread to express how videos shot on the OnePlus 3T come out. A higher rating indicates that videos are smooth (and not choppy) and that auto-focus works very well, and that the camera adjusts quickly to different lighting conditions while recording.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
You'll have a hard time finding a phone which can create 1080 60 fps video as smooth and stable as this. The 4k, however, suffers from some sort of low light artifacts when panning. That isn't a problem for me because I much prefer the smoothness of 60 fps over the quality of 4k. As for the slomo, it's Aight. Nothing to write home about.
Video quality is OK ..But sound recording on video is horrendous....
is there anyway we can record videos on 24fps? coz I cant in open camera and we dont have framerate settings in our stock camera app.
Encoding profile
According to this article, the video encoding profile and bitrate was improved in OOS 3.2.2...
I just got my OnePlus 3T, with stock OOS 3.5.3 and when I view back the videos I record with it, their property show that they were recorded with Baseline profile and with 42Mbit...
Anybody have more info about this?

To make hand stable and get smooth footage, u just hold ur phone with ur both hand and put it near to ur chest than walk step by step slowly. This tips make me get this smooth footage but it a bit ridiculous. U can give a try and see bro, this will help improve ur footage. ??
