In portrait my 10.5 is very choppy when using Nova Launcher. It is smooth in landscape. Anybody else notice this?
Just tested mine. It works fine.
Works perfectly here.
Even with wallpaper scrolling?
Mine is smooth without the wallpaper scrolling turned off but not so much when on.

My 8.4 has the same problem usually in landscape. Some wallpaper choices make it switch to portrait. However on the 10.5 with the same launcher and wallpapers I have found no issue at all.
The google now launcher has the same issue but less noticeable.
The touchwiz launcher has no such issue at all so it clearly seems to be some kind of software glitch.
My 10.5 is choppy in portrait with Nova Launcher but only on the homescreen.

Live wallpaper has been having a lag issue on the stock launcher. Recently, I installed Nova launcher on my GNex and surprisingly the lag is gone and almost every live wallpaper runs smoothly like butter on the Nova launcher!!! NICE!
Hey all,
I am wondering if anybody has encountered a wallpaper bug with Zeam Launcher. No matter what I do Zeam zooms into wallpapers. I tried to resize the pics to phone resolution, make them smaller, bigger, tried all the options in the launcher to no avail. Live wallpapers work fine.
I am running 2.3.6 UVLE1, rooted.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, I am running into a somewhat annoying issue with regular wallpapers not scrolling along slightly with the home screen pages. The Live wallpapers seem to work just fine. I have verified that the resize prior to setting the wallpaper shows both the edges for the shift, but it does not do so when scrolling through homepages.
Is this normal for the Note 2?

I don't think the touchwiz launcher allows scrolling wallpaper. If you install and use the Nova Laucher it will allow that though.

Live wallpapers will scroll just fine in Touchwiz and static wallpapers will not. It's normal. Apex and Nova are 2 launchers that allow static scrolling wallpaper.

Cool guys, thanks. Was somewhat used to seeing it on older HTC devices and found it odd that my phone didn't do it.
So I updated my note 8 to mc1 (still 4.1.2) and for some reason scrolling wallpapers don't work on nova/apex launcher plus apex launcher runs like Crap stutters, anyone know why this would be?
Really wish I never updated issues like this plus the screen stopping for a sec every now and then, tried update through kies because I was hoping for 4.2 Arrrgh lol serves me right.

Under nova settings go to desktop and wallpaper scrolling and then force. I run nova and have no issues except for the wallpaper scrolling.

If you have the tab s 8.4 try installing google now launcher or nova. Then try swiping between the desktop pages in both portrait and landscape modes.
My tab s 8.4 lags considerably in landscape but not at all in portrait. The Touchwiz launcher has no such problem. It seems to have something to do with the wallpaper so try different static wallpapers.
The 10.5 has no such issue and zips along beautifully in both portrait and landscape. It seems to be clearly a software glitch since touchwiz has no issue and with some wallpapers the problem gets reversed and portrait lags.
What gives?

I had the same issue on mt 10.5 with Nova. I found that after a reboot the lag went away.
I personally feel that Go Launcher does landscape better than Nova because it puts your icon dock on the right vertically. Very convenient.
After further testing I found that the tab 8.4 has no lag if the wallpaper doesn't scroll. Animated wallpapers like koi show no lag at all. The 10.5 shows no lag with scrolling wallpaper...or any other wallpaper. I will try rebooting the 8.4 with scrolling paper.
