i am a complete noob i dont know what to do how do i do what you are saying

Ow dear....you need to learn fastboot commands. Check the stickies for a guide on how to flash the boot.img from the rom. It comes down to this :
Open the rom.zip and copy out the boot.img from the rom to the folder on the pc which contains the fastboot files. Boot the phone to the bootloader and open a command window inside the fastboot folder on the pc and flash the file
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
Here you can find tutorials
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1832891

help still needed
luckily i was able to copy another rom
OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_50_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_4.19.707.3-3.14.707.24_release_3346060yp26w70ibi8zm1g
and i was installing it this error showed up installing update
assert failed : file_getprop('systhem/build.prop". :ro.build.fingerprint") == "htc_ ........ long stuff
E: Error in /sdcasrd/rom.zip
status 7 installation aborted

That's not a rom. That's an ota update file. Useless without a full OS
---------- Post added at 10:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:56 PM ----------
You need to full wipe, flash a rom and flash the boot.img of that rom

still
where to get the a complete rom and then where to find the ota update can i find the ota update for the sentinel rom cos thats the rom i previously tried to install please if you could give me the links thanks for your help btw

The roms are in the development section (and original android dev section) pick a rom you would like. Install it by following a proper guide from the thread i linked

You can now flash a custom ROM. I tried it 10 months ago, now I'm addicted . And I will recommend you to update you'r radio. My favorite ROM is InsertCoin A2SD CM7 HBOOT/A2SD+ STOCK HBOOT v15. Read Android Development section.
Maybe Im doing it wrong but I went to the Desire theme forum and I found this ROM B-Berry-MIUI so I downloaded I drop it into my sdcard I go on recovery mode see that B-Berry is there I select it but but it said no files found.
Any tips please or any step by step guide.
Thanks for the help in advance.
Do you have a GSM or a CDMA phone ? SIM or no SIM ?
Its a CDMA.
Thank You for trying to help.
I think that I need to download this three items before I can start flashing ROM but they're no longer available does anyone knows where can I find them.
I could'nt copy and paste due to been a new member but they go something like this:
defer/reco....bravo-slcd.img
(Cyanogen) /cm/nigthly/bravo/
/bravo/rad....5.09.00.20.zip
Thanks in advance for any help
Look in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=809328
Be careful to select only the CDMA ROMs since you're CDMA. GSM ROMs, which make up most of the custom ROMs, won't work on CDMA phones (and vice-versa)
So i found the lates upgrade of radio i download it and when i open it i get a folder that said META-INF and another item that said radio.img and it has a symbol of a page with a hardrive in the middle. Now do i drop both of these item on the sd card as they are or what i do at this point.
Thanks

There is a good guide on flashing radio here:
http://oxygenrom.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6
If you are still using the stock partition table (unless you deliberately changed it, you are- see the alpharev site) you can also flash radios from recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687464
Fash Radio (S-ON recovery method):
1.Fully charge your phone
2.Download the radio image from the link below and put it on your sdcard
3.Reboot your phone into the recovery and flash the .zip like you would flash a ROM
4.Reboot your phone.
Flash Radio (S-OFF fastboot method):
1.Fully charge your phone
2.Download the radio image from the link below and unzip the radio.img
3.Connect your phone to your computer.
4.Reboot your phone into the bootloader (fastboot mode).
5.At the command prompt on your computer type: fastboot devices
6.A value like HTXXXXXXXXXXX should be displayed with the word fastboot next to it.
7.Your phone screen should have FASTBOOT USB on it.
8.If all of the above is not exactly as described DO NOT PROCEED and resolve your fastboot problem.
9.At the command prompt type: fastboot flash radio "filename".img - you must type it correctly!
10.Now, observe the computer and be patient TOUCH NOTHING!!
11.The process will copy the image to your phone, write the image to the radio partition and perform some magic be patient TOUCH NOTHING!!
12.Watch the little indicator at the top of your phone screen.
13.Once the process appears to finish (it may not say complete) wait a further FULL 60 SECONDS and be patient TOUCH NOTHING!!
14.Then, and only then, reboot your phone.
I use Mac and this guide is for windows but i try typing fastboot devices on my Terminal and it said command not found .
I really thank everyone that is trying to help me.

leave all that...unless you either s-off or unlock your bootloader you cant go ahead rooting ur phone..follow the below method which i find is easiest::::
#1 unlock ur bootloader using htcdev method(www.htcdev.com) (remember this will void ur warranty).plz do watever is mentioned step by step on the site....
#2 after u unlock bootloader u will still have s-on but ur device is now rootable...
#3 root ur device using unlockroot one click tool (www.unlockroot.com) and u will have root access superuser installed..congrats u r now rooted
#4 installing clockworkmod recovery on your phone via fastboot method (plz dont use rom manager to install cwm recovery as it just provides a temp recovery)..just do it via fastboot method (scan xda forum on how to do it via fastboot)....done ...u r ready to flash a custom rom...
#5 download any custom rom for wildfire (ex:cyanogenmod 7.1.0.1 buzz)and place it on sd card...turn off ur phone and reboot into bootloader and select recover,,ur device will now boot into recovery..then select install zip from sd option and choose the rom file...congrats ull now boot into a custom rom...(dont forget to backup ur existing rom )..hope it does the job for u....

try installing cwm recovery again using fastboot method..just do as is say
#1make a folder in "c:\" and name it fastboot.
#2copy the files recovery.img(download recovery from http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager ), adb.exe and fastboot.exe and AdbWinApi.dll (the later 3 u can copy from sdk platform tools and tools respectively as when unlocking bootloader u used them) and paste these files in the folder "fastboot" u created.
#3 turn off ur mobile and reboot into bootloader (volume down+power) go into fastboot menu and plug ur mobile to pc
#4 open command prompt and type cmd (start>run>cmd)then just type what i say step by step and pushing enter after every line
cd c:\fastboot
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-buzz.img
now ur done .pull out usb plug and reboot again into bootloader and select recovery.now it will take u to clockworkmod recovery...
hope this was useful....

I am donating USD 100$ to the person who will write a STEP by STEP guide

Hi Guys
I am currently on Mike's ARHD 18.2 Rom and I am thinking of reverting back to completely stock Jelly Bean Rom .
So I am donating a USD 100$ to the person who will write a STEP by STEP guide with links to the correct download points etc. But my stock Rom should be ROOTED and all necessary apps like Busybox , SuperSU, etc should be flashed too.
Also this guide should mention how to achieve those steps , for example
Insetad of saying , FIND OUT YOU PHONE'S CID , it should explain me how to find out the CID such as : Goto Bootloader Mode by pressing Volume Down and Power button > Fastboot USB > Then on your PC at ADB screen type - fastboot oem readcid etc. etc.
Currently I am on Mike ARHD Rom 18.2 , my HBOOT is 1.39
Regarding on how to choose which person will get the 100$ , I think the people who want to make this guide should post a message here and I will choose who and tell him to proceed with the Guide .
I am an XDA member since 2006 and my word is trustable . If you look at Mike's Donation list , I am the highest single donator as well.
I want to make myself clear once more , think of me as a person who does knows just a little on HTC and Rooting and Flashing and ADB and etc. So do not think of me as a professional like you guys.
I prefer somebody who already uses Mike's ARHD rom for One X .....
Thanks Guys
Procedure is very simple: relock your bootloader and flash JB ruu
Re: ROOTing my phone, want to make sure a few things
Sent you PM.
I said , the stock rom then should be rooted as well ......
Yes, yes. No problem at all.
I will compile you a totally noob proof step-by-step guide, just read my PM.

All I need is a Guide, I can not risk making errors and bricking my device.
So guys please do not send me ideas or where to collect the info, you all know what I want and I am ready to pay for it.
I prefer a ARHD rom user to write the guide, but if there isn't any around, I will give TToivanen the go to write the guide.

2: Put it into the phone's memory.
3: Get into recovery.
4: Make a factory reset/wipe.
5: Flash the ROM.
6: Reboot into fastboot.
7: flash boot.img

Sorry I didn't know that ...
Anyway TToivanen made a great guide and now in a few minutes I will follow it step by step .
I already preordered my HTC One , and while waiting for it I will play around with my One X and I hope to get rid of the LOW VOLUME LEVEL bug I am faced with by going completely stock .
I realised on some calls the volume level seems OK, but in some calls the volume is so low I can not hear the opposing person if I am in my car or outside ( where there are other noises around)
Since 1 friend has a completely stock HOX , I hope to reach his Volume Levels when I turn stock , another friend has the ARHD 9.8 and his Volume level is much higher than mine too.
I think the Step by Step guide that is made by TToivanen is just perfect, this is how a guide should be done , some peoble write guides too but I barely see one this clear and easy to understand .
I agree, it's perfect. But not everyone is getting 100$ for writing those guides

Hi,
I have test the TW stock rom, it's fine that you can't decompression this special zip file.
And I found another way to update this RUU into the Butterfly3.
The system will check the file "0PL2IMG.zip" from ext-SD everytime you boot into download mode(Pow+Vol down), so i change
the stock Rom's name and put it to the root of my EXT SD card, then boot your phone into download mode again, it will show up
some words at the bottom of the screen asking you whether to update the system or not.
Be sure you have done the "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" at recovery mode before you do this.
Enjoy~

And I found another way to update this RUU into the Butterfly3.
The system will check the file "0PL2IMG.zip" from ext-SD everytime you boot into download mode(Pow+Vol down), so i change
the stock Rom's name and put it to the root of my EXT SD card, then boot your phone into download mode again, it will show up
some words at the bottom of the screen asking you whether to update the system or not.
Be sure you have done the "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition" at recovery mode before you do this.
Enjoy~

I have successfully flashed the TW rom from the original link shared by Gixermouse and mrquyen1993. The zip file does give the error but it is meant to be that way (as mentioned by seaturtleSTO).. However, I was still getting errors when trying to flash it on using power + vol down and then vol up.. I had to change the MID of the phone first to 0PL220000 ("command: fastboot oem writemid 0PL220000" in fastboot mode through cmd). I had to then format my external SD card to match byte size of 4096 (initially it was 32Kbytes) NOTE: IF THIS IS NOT DONE THEN YOU CAN'T COPY THE FILE AS IT IS (IN WINDOWS) AND CANNOT FLASH. THE BYTE SIZE HAS TO BE 4096.
After this I copied the file again to ext SD card and flashed it through power + vol down and then vol up. It worked this time !
After the above I followed the guide provided by mrquyen1993 to install the OTA of Marshmallow 6.0 (https://htchtv31.wordpress.com/2016...hat-android-6-0-1-dai-loan-cho-htc-b3-htv-31/). You have to change the CID of the phone to HTC__621 (fastboot oem writecid HTC__621) to successfully download and install Marshmallow.
Thanks everyone for the help and I hope what I have mentioned above will be helpful to others!
NOTE: I have S-OFF only with no bootloader unlocked, no root and no TWRP installed. This works for stock phones but needs S-OFF I assume.

You don't extract file rom by rar because it was embedded certificates HTC.
You can install using adb or hboot
Hi,
Can I install these ROMs using the TWRP restore function? Or install?

I think this only happened because you went from a KDDI ROM to a Taiwan one (which wouldn't work with the wrong CID).
I went from an older KDDI ROM to this one and I didn't need to do anything but the confirmation after download mode.
As for the SD Card, I didn't need to do anything either. I had it formated in exFAT and it just worked.

So sorry mate, the link died after I lost my HTV31 three years ago and I don't have any of the files anymore

the dm-verity is not started in enforcing mode and may not work properly

My phone is the ASUS Zenfone 3 deluxe (zs550kl) model and its bricked only can enter fastboot or adb still but my os will not boot I tried going to asus website for stock firmware (UL-Z018-WW-11.40.71.37-user.zip) and stock kernel (ZS550KL_Kermel_11_40_71_37.zip). how do I install these to fix my phone unless there is a better way to make it boot. by the way im new to android I always had iphone jailbroken until last year I am android now but give me noob instructions for the how to. maybe I should add this I already have adb/fastboot installed and the commands for adb devices or fastboot devices when in fastboot mode both recognize my device so maybe my commands are wrong or something but I tried every way I could toinstill firmware and not sure what to flash kernel as the zip or the file unzipped please help thanks in advance. Not sure why this happened exactly but my bootloader is unlocked already but was never rooted so if there is another way to install another custom firmware besides stock I would like those instructions also thanks again
first off your phone is soft brick meaning all you have to do is flash the stock android software back onto your phone.
install to sd card -> boot into recovery (stock or twrp whatever you have works)
flash from sd
let it load (this will work if you have the correct files)
it will reboot and will work good as new again.
you shouldnt have to flash the kernal, just the UL-Z0 file.
That would have worked yesterday but im having another issue now basically instead of waiting for a response on here I went ahead and did other stuff now my recovery menu is not showing up so I cant install from sd now the only option I'm getting is fastboot so is there a way to fix the stock recovery option or even install a custom recovery which might be eaiser because my bootloader is already unlocked. I was going to try to flash stock recovery my self but not sure how exactly I know I use fastboot flash recovery (recovery file name in the folder) and I think it's .img but not sure so I think it will be either .zip or .img file type but not sure what it will be called if it's stock or custom and not sure where to find either. Last issue I'm not sure of is the actual files I downloaded from asus.com the firmware for my specific phone model not working when I try to flash it as the .zip file so my question is do you need to do something with it such as edit the script of something inside the zip of it and I also downloaded the kernel for my specific phone model from the Asus site and not sure if I needed it when flashing stock rom back to device or how to even flash it on the device please help if you can and I know some questions might be dumb to you but remember I'm a noob when it comes to Android recently left iPhone and I was a pro there every phone had a jailbreak and all types of stuff so I know I can get this just takes time I'm sure
I have this exact issue with a new Padfone Infinity A86... No access to stock recovery, only fast boot... But in my case I'm even unable to flash the recovery.img from a firmware package...
I'm wondering if you guys can help this person, maybe there is something in that solution for my Padfone
1: download the full firmware package
2: use sdat2img to convert the sparse system image to a regular one
3: use fastboot to flash the stock boot.img & the newly converted system.img
4: hoping you didn't flash the recovery partition, if you did, reflash the stock dump from the file in my Bootloader unlock thread via fastboot
5: reboot to recovery & do a factory reset
Read the documentation at each step, do your research, learn the process.
