Hey gang,
I can't find the shortcut to launch the LG Health app. It's NOWHERE to be found on my phone! I know the app is installed as I can access it via the 'G' screen on the left of the home screens. I don't have any apps hidden in the app drawer either.
Can any of you guys see it in your app drawer?
You have use the LG extra page, whatever the name, to see it. You can't start the app itself it seems.

Really?
How rubbish! I won't be using that then.
Thanks
Yeah you can only use the widget at the home screen.
Is there some smart app to create your own shortcut maybe? A lot of LG stuff goes out the window if you start using another launcher.

I've just done that very thing!
I'm using Nova and I've made an shortcut to a Nova 'Activity' which exposes everything the phone can do pretty much.
If you're not using Nova there are apps in the store that will do the same. Smart Shortcuts is one.

Interesting.... Have you found one that gives you access to the Widget 'Smart Notice'?
That is the one widget I would like to use with Nova.
It's also a shame Nova does not give you access to LG Health by means of a separate home screen. Yes you can do as you say, make a shortcut Activity to LG Health but an icon is not the same as swiping to its own widget style home screen!

Hi. I wonder if any of you can set the page of the app drawer vertically or horizontally? I've been searching and looking but had no clue at all.

Launcher Pro has never done this. I used to swear by Launcher Pro until I tried Go Launcher for a few days, and now I can't go back. I personally prefer a vertical app drawer, but Go Launcher does have the option of either vertical or horizontal.
Launcher Pro's HUGE lack of updates over the last 4-5 months is very off putting! I like Go Launcher, but it's still a little too buggy.
I cant find option to change home screen and app drawer to landscape mode in Go launcher. Can someone plzz guide?

Switched to go recently too. Its amazing. It used to be trash but after a month or two I decided to give it another go and its amazing now. I just hate those ugly tabs in the app drawer, I really don't care to have a task manager and app history in my app drawer.

Hey Everyone,
I'm using Nova Launcher Prime on my Nexus 7 (unrooted) and for some reason stock apps, such as the clock and calendar, aren't showing up in the app drawer. They haven't been disabled and still appear when using the stock launcher so can anyone explain why they don't show in the nova drawer? Is there a way to make them show up?
Thanks
I use the free version and don't see a way you could have mistakenly hidden any. On the paid version there looks to be a way or at least group the apps differently.
Go into App drawer and into Nova Settings (three dots). Click on DRAWER. There is a HIDE APPS section.
Hope that helps.
EDIT: I noticed you're using PRIME version so editing my comment.
Did you accidentally switch to the "downloaded" view for the app drawer?

wow...turns out I must have hidden them (don't remember why I thought that'd be a good idea). thanks for your help
will my device still retain features such as knock on, knock codes, lg's customized nav buttons, qslide apps, multi windows if I use a 3rd party launcher like nova launcher?
yes. the only thing you will lose is the lg specific widgets, the lg health page and the ability to knock off anywhere (you can still double tap the status bar to knock off)
i'm using nova and all the other lg stuff works great

Thanks, but how about the nav buttons? I don't want to lose the ability to rearrange the nav buttons and quick notification pull down button
Yes all of that will work fine

I wish there was a way to still get the LG widgets and health app outside of the stock launcher. I'd also love the lock screen clock as a widget

Knock off will only work if you double tap the status bar. It's unfortunate.

I found a solution by binding nova launcher gesture to a screen off app
I'm also using Nova. I wish it came with gestures for locking the screen. It would have been easier to replicate the knock off feature

If you are using Nova Launcher, you can create a shortcut to the LG Health app.

I found the "Turn Off" little free app works beautifully for that.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tv.marinelli.android.TurnOff
Just install it, then bind the double tap gesture in Nova to "Turn off" shortcut, and you get an exact replacement for Knock Off.
Turn Off utility works great. Thanks for the link.

Thanks for the lead on the program, and for the tip on hitting the notification bar.
I was afraid I'd have to make the tough choice between the functionality of the double-tap and just using Nova.
Forgive me if I missed the explanation, but why doesn't the double-tap just work in Nova like in the standard launcher?

I think that the double tap gesture in Nova needs to be tapped on a blank/empty area without any icons/shortcuts/widgets.
using g3 tweaksbox I set the double tap on home key to turn screen off and enabled double tap on status bar. so when using phone with one hand I can reach the home button easily.
What Launcher are you guys using? I personally use Nova, paired with the G3 stock ui is a pretty sweet combination and improves performance.
Apex, pretty much the same
Nova all the way.
But I'm wondering how Nokia's zLauncher is. And/Or will the 18k plus laying off of jobs by Microsoft will affect zLauncher?
I use Nova too but original LG widgets are unable to load on Nova. Anyway workarounds?

I'm using LG Home for the LG widgets. I really like their calendar widget. I wish the left panel was a bit more useful, though. I'll probably eventually switch back to Nova.

Action Launcher Pro
Tried both LG launcher and Nova Prime. Nova is significantly snappier than the LG launcher so I went that route.

I usually always use Nova, but since day one I've used LG. Sure I'll end up using Nova but once you go there....your there! I'm trying to hold out and give stock a chance. Makes my phone still feel new instead of the same themes I've used on my S5, on my Note3 on my Nexus, Etc etc etc.......
I'm still optimistic about getting my LG Smart World themes to work.
I wonder if I can port Touchwiz Themes from my S5?????
Has anyone had success getting knock off to work on nova launcher?

The way I have it now is;
Download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock
Then set double tap in Gestures (Nova Settings) to launch Screen Off. Works perfect, however I would love to find a solution without the use of a third party screen off app.
Thanks, that works great!

I'm using the G3 TweaksBox exposed module and there is an option for a double tap of the notification bar to turn the screen off. It doesn't work on the whole screen, but just the notification bar, so you have to have good aim. Lol. But it does work well.
Nova is working flawless for me

Double tapping the status bar works by default on stock to turn the screen off.

Is there a way of getting blinkfeed on the G3 ? That would be awesome.
Is there a way to use the LG Health feature w/out using the LG UI?
Just wondering cause I kinda like the feature but just don't want to use the LG UI.

Yes, if you're using Nova for example:
1. Long press screen
2.Click Shortcuts
3. Click Activities
4. Find LG health.
This creates a shortcut to the app on your home screen.
