ROM with split view - Nexus 7 (2013) Q&A

Hello everyone,
I was searching for a 4.4 ROM which includes multi windows (split view). I tried the last OmniRom, AOKP and LiquidSmooth but I can't find it. LS has the floating mode bit I don't like it because I can use only one app, the floating one.
Could someone help me?
Thank you.

You want mods added to a ROM? Editing a current ROM is a horrible way to go about it when you have all this source code laying around. There is currently a help thread in this nexus forum explaining EXACTLY what you want.

[Q] another messaging app like beanstalks

Hello all, I've finally found a 4.4 rom that had held my attention for longer than usual. It's a lot to do because of the messaging app on this rom which has some extra and a special features I haven't noticed been able find elsewhere. Particularly it's the theme settings and ill try to post some SS below incase this sounds new to some people. What I'm trying to figure out is can I either A.) Install beanstalks messaging apk into another rom and have it work as it should or B.) If not does anyone know of any other roms with the same theming options. Thanks to anyone who can help out.
Shameless bump, upgrading to desperate nudge. Here is a little info I what ive done/tried so far. I installed the omni tmo test rom and then extracted the messaging app from beanstalk rom and replaced the apk in omni set permissions rebooted and everything worked perfect including the theming portion I desire. I then flashed the latest cyanogen 11 nightly because the omni rom is still quit a bit buggy. Performed exact procedure on the cyan nightly as I did with omni and it works fine, until I press the the theme option in the app settings, I immediately get a "sorry, messaging has closed" error. Anyone know why perhaps or a possible anything I could try to fix this? Thanks for listening.

[Q] CM/Aokp Theme help

Hello all, im having some trouble finding a suitable template to create a cyanogenmod/aokp theme for our G2's
Im trying to create a cm 11 / aokp kit kat theme, but i cannot find any suitable tutorials on how to create a 4.4.2 based theme.
So basically im trying to create a cm 11 theme for my G2 (ls980) but i cannot find anywhere to start, i cannot find a SystemUi.apk in the cyanogenmod 4.4.2 base. ive searched in system/app in cyanogenmod 11 but i cannot find the default system theme to modify. Is it relocated or renamed somewhere else?
Does anyone know where i can find the default theme or find a kit kat based theme template? ive done alot of googling but cannot find any leads.
Note: i know how to decompile and recompile Apks. All im asking is if anyone can point me into the right direction of creating a cm11 theme for my Sprint G2.
Thanks for any information you can give me
Using the "Search All Forums" button at the upper right of XDA I found a plethora of information... Maybe our Search buttons are different? Anyway, when I used to theme I learned it all myself with a lot of time (Hundreds of hours) and patience. I think the first 2 have a template. Good Luck!!

CustomROM Tweaking [6.0.x]

Hi there,
i tested all the latest 6.0.x ROMs in Developers Thread and found mordesku's [GEEHRC][6.0.1_r43][OFFICIAL] Resurrection Remix M v5.6.9 [2016-05-23] most suitable for my needs.
So far i'm really pleased with the ROM. After applying the Sensor Fix ti's working really nice'n'smooth!
Now i got some little Questions:
1. On home screen > menu button > gear wheel on the right opens the startscreen settings just as the three dots (" .ยท. ") above it, is that a bug? on all other ROMs i used it opens the android settings. is that a bug? can i fix it?
2. in the android 5 ROM i used before, there were many settings for "time" display on status bar. is that easily patchable to this ROM? i just want to see seconds on status bar. how do i achieve it? (by searching i found something about LGG2 Deodexed Stock LGSystemUI.apk but i am not sure if it is applicable to optimus G)
3. LGOG stock ROM has inbuild am/fm radio function which isnt present in CustomROMs 6.0.x, can this readded in any easy way.
Thanks alot for your time and answers!
sorry if these are dumb questions/wrong subforum or anything, i'm not that familiar with android dev/ xda forum.
greetings, Cecilium
