[Q] Efs files - LG Optimus G (International)

anyone knows that is what brings each efs file because I lost 1 and take just 2 to 3 and when I use the phone without SIMCARD shows me the correct IMEI and when I put SIMCARD imei is null, I ran out signal kdz and put the stock via LG official update which is the automatic download and everything factory resets, but still no signal.. Is a e987, is any method to solve it?
I am able to get a m9kefs1.img from the same model and put in my phone, but i think it could create conflicts

i tried to solve my problem for 1 day before i make this thread.i have an unbraded ls ks20 with english rom v10c.i tried to pass a greek rom (v10g vodafone).after flash it and the phone start setup shows me a message "illegal use" so i went back to english rom.since then my phone doesn't conect to the network "no service".everything else works fine .what should i do?did i kill my brand new lg ks20?
i really need help!
Never flashed before - but you need a special file (nv?) that is unique to your phone. If you didn't back that up, yes you killed it ! If you did search XDA for instructions on how to restore it.
You can do this step to find your signal.
1.backup your ks-20 NV file, the file you can backup from firmware.
2.firm ENG rom and chose ERASE ESF.
3.complete the flash, you can go in the system, and find Windag_open.cab install on the device, and open engineer mode.
4.open firmware, only flash nv file, since reset ,you will find the signal.

lol, He loss calibration data from handset!!!! If there is no service after flashing without NV backup, only way to resolve that problem to flash the NVRAM with backup of another handset and correct IMEI and BT address.
To everyone,
If u need .nv2 file, pm me with ur imei no. and email address, i can generate one for you, but the last digit, which is calculated by your phone, would likely to be different and also i can only generate branded .nv2 since i only got branded .nv2 file. It could be work in unbranded phone but just u need to flash a branded rom or hybrid rom to use with it.
thank you raykisi you are the best it works 100%.

Hi raykisi,
I still have my .qcn file... but what I'm trying to do is a little bit different: put a KS20 rom on a MS25 mobile (similar mobile that we have here in Brazil).
I tried to recover my network config using my qcn backup but I couldn't...
My phone always shows "No Service".
Tooo bad...
;(
Hope you can help me...

What does ERASE EST do? Why would you think this whole procedure will help find the signal? I asked because my KS20 doesn't find any signal in a lot of places but my wife's KS20 does. I am wondering if there is anything I can try to resolve my problem. Thanks.

My phone is really mucked up

I have the E988 Taiwan model with stock 10b firmware. I have previously rooted, and used freegee to turn lge security off and install cwm. However, I have since reset back to stock using a kdz file. My problem is that my IMEI isn't showing up. This randomly hapened when my phone was off a few days ago. It means that I can't connect to the network and my phone is rebooting about every 20 minutes.
However, I have made an interesting discovert. My IMEI is still on the phone. I know this because I have twice managed to connect to the network after many reboots and my IMEI was read correctly in the log file when I reset back to stock.
I decided to root my phone (I have since unrooted) and found that the EFS files m9kefs1, m9kefs2 and m9kefs3 are all 0 bytes. So are all the other files in the folder. I even have backups of these files, and the file sizes update when I copy them in, but when I reboot the phone resets the file sizes back to 0 bytes.
Why is this happening?
On a side note, resetting your phone to stock doesn't actually seem to do anything as you are still required to do a factory reset. Surely all of the files should be deleted?
Thanks

Please I really need your help.
My IMEI is definitely on the phone but for some reason the phone isn't reading it. Does anyone know why this is? Has anyone experienced this and managed to fix it?
Thanks

No network connection

Hello Forumers,
I have a galaxy note 3 N7505 with 4.4.2 kit kat android.
One day i decided to do a reset factory without make a backup, so when i reboot my phone and try to make a call, suddenly show me a message "' No network connection". I searched the phone's file and i saw that the efs file was empty.
Do you know any solution for my problem. I've tried to install again the same rom but the efs file is empty again.
Is there any other method to try in order to make my phone usable again?
Thanks a lot!
If you did not backup your efs (imei), you should contact your warranty service! Since efs block contains your IMEI which registers your phone to your provides network with your cell id! It is just likely MAC adress of a computer on a network! Good luck!

Corrupted MEID and ESN on LG G4 H815T, Need help to restore

Hi there,
Need a help of someone good at working with G4 unlocking. Here is the story of whole problem.
I bought an LG G4 from my local market. At the time of purchase it was rooted but not updated, so I thought to update it. I tried to flash it with Marshmallow kdz available at storage cow with H81520B_00, but may be I flashed my phone with wrong kdz file (as I was not aware of matter at that moment) which was not supported by my phone's model as my phone was H815T (HKG version). The flashing of wrong KDZ file changed the ESN, IMEI & MEID of the phone and replaced them with something that is blacklisted in international phone database. because of this reason now whenever I try connect my phone to the network with the sim installed, it doesnt show any connectivity and displays that service is disabled on the phone.
After this incident, I re-flashed my phone with correct kdz available for H815T model but the problem still persists.
Then in many forums I tried to find the solution to revert back my phone's ESN, IMEI & MEID back to the values printed on the back sticker of my phone pasted under the battery. Somehow I was successful to revert the IMEI of the phone back to original but I am unable to change the ESN and MEID values.
I have tried many ways. I tried to use EFS Explorer of QPST but in that, I found that the NV folder which includes the ESN and MEID values is locked and by applying all my efforts and searching everywhere, I am still unable to unlock this folder.
I tried DFS CDMA Tool, it shows my phone's info properly, but when I try to write the old values to my ESN and MEID areas, it says that the values have been written successfully, but when I try to read the values again to check whether they have really successfully written or not then the tool shows the previous corrupted values again.
I tried EFS Professional & CDMA workshop for the same reason and it too showed the same response as DFS.
I need a help from someone who can guide me that how can I unlock the NV folder of my phone and write the correct values of ESN and MEID of my phone back to it so that it can connect to the cellular network.
Apart from cellular network connectivity, all the functionality of the phone is perfectly fine.
Exactly same problem with my G4, only difference is that it connects to network and disconnects again and again. I am able to make/recieve call and sms when outdoors. Ut randomly drops signals even outdoors

Emergency calls only due to IMEI problem

Hello guys,
I bought a new S20 Ultra, 2 days ago, it was on Android 10, when I tried to update it via OTA, it showed a toast saying "registration failed".
So not knowing this is a problem, I simply downloaded Odin and Frija, used Frija to get the same exact ROM with the same CSC (XXV: Vietnam), and flashed it, so far all good, after starting, the sim card was showing "emergency calls only", I tried literally everything: Network reset, restart, re-flash another ROM, another CSC (no matter what I did, CSC didn't change on the phone).
I noticed that I can't change the network provider (stuck on Automatic, and shows a toast saying: "Error while searching for networks").
*#06# shows the IMEI code written on the back of the phone.
About Phone also shows the same IMEI code on the back of the phone.
*#0011# shows: IMEI Status: NG
I have searched a lot in this forum and others, and found that I should have backed up my EFS folder, following the instructions in this comment, I rooted the phone, and used Root Explorer, inside the EFS folder, there's no "nv_data.bin" file, I wanted to delete the IMEI folder, but had to do a backup first, then things went south flashing TWRP, so I stopped and re-flashed a stock ROM (removing root and everything).
I went out to a local repair shop, the person said that the phone isn't reading the sim, and it should be unlocked using a box (hardware unlocking). But I think that Chimera would do the job, but I don't understand why they only have a yearly sub, while some people need to use it just for 1 day :/
If anyone went through this problem, or has any idea, please let me know.
Thank you!
UPDATE: Apparently on the back of the device, it says: LIVE DEMO UNIT NOT FOR SALE.
