Paranoid Android ROM?

was just curious if anyone has caught wind of port of paranoid android rom coming to the sprint gs3. ive seen it on the international and the verizon one. id love to be able to pick between the 3 different uis on this phone. thanx in advance. and befor anyone flames, yes i did use search lol

super excited for this as well but patient. While some had the s3 since initial launch over a month ago. Many have only had the phone for 2 to 3 weeks. It will happen give it time.

But Verizon got it already

I don't follow this comment. Paranoid Android Rom and FreeGS3 are no where near the same type of rom.

No.. They are not... I asked a question, being as it not available for sprint phones... Have you tried alternatives until then?

Ahh, I see. I misunderstood. I thought you were saying FreeGS3 would be a similar alternative..My bad.

I've ported it to the AT&T S3 but haven't made a thread for it yet because I have one bug left in it, call audio doesn't work. I could port it to the Sprint S3 and upload it in this thread if anyone wants to test it. Call audio should be the only bug, well if there's any bugs in CM10 those will be present too.

well im personally using aokp right now. it takes care of a lot of the cm10 bugs and it has a few customizations that i really enjoy already baked in (i.e. center clock and circlemod battery). the main reason i want the paranoid android is the in depth ui changing. and with jellybean now having 3 different uis baked in id love to go through and tinker with all of that. i really want the 7inch notification bar ui and the tablet camera ui ( i love the option wheel look). but just like it was mentioned earlier, more roms is never a bad thing but the only way i see me giving up aokp is for some PA love lol

[ROM][4.2.2][CM10.1/PA] Jellybam

I didn't post this in the development section because I didn't make this rom and I am not affiliated with Jellybam. I just found this when searching around goo.im...
So it looks like we have a new, very cool rom for our device, which virtually no one seems to be using based on their download stats. It is a CM10.1 - Paranoid Android hybrid that has many cool features that I haven't seen on any other rom, certainly for this device. A good example would be the ability to add TW apps to this rom (see the pics).

How to Install
Like you would flash any other rom BUT it is different from other aosp roms since you don't have to install gapps - they're included
Please give it a try - it has only been downloaded 39 times for SGH-T889 so far! We don't want these people to think no one is using their rom

It is very much like any of the other aosp roms in terms of bugs. I haven't noticed anything significant and have been running it since Saturday.

They vary from ROM to ROM but sometimes the camera is slow or clunky. Best to read the ROMs thread.

I don't think there are any. If there are I don't notice them anymore . I think some users miss the Touchwiz stuff though. You should have a go on this or one of the other aosp ROMs. It's a very different experience

[Q] Custom roms with working hotspot

Hey everyone newb here.
​I've done some searching around but from what I can tell a lot of these custom roms are ports and the hotspot feature doesn't work on majority of them. I'm on a Rogers SGH-I317M using the Paranoid android 3.50 and the hotspot feature doesn't work on it. I've read for some people it does work but lot's of other users running into the same issue as I am.
Is there a list that has been compiled of custom roms CWM AOSP AOKP that do have the Hotspot feature working?

Works on CleanROM 4.9, you should check it out. Scott makes a great rom and it would be worth a shot.

No official list....
But our devs do a superb job posting the working or not working portions of their builds..
The OP of the roms will generally tell you these facts prior to flashing...
Check their first....Then the last few pages of the threads, as this will give you a good feel for the rom status....g

Since we now have software S-Off heading our way courtesy of beaups, I figured I would do here what I do over on the DNA forums. Anyone who has an AOSP ROM that they would like to see made, either post in this thread or PM me and i'll add it to the request list. If you would like to take a crack at a ROM, let me know and i'll add you to the work in progress section, likewise let me know when the ROM is complete and give me a link and i'll add it to the Completed ROM section

I wish we could get some PAranoidandroind and AOKP love. I would really like to have a stock version of 4.3 so I can ditch all of the Verizon crap. I have some of it frozen, but the constant Wi-fi notifications and other bloatware annoy me to no end.
My ideal would be stock with fast toggles and the ability to map the HTC button.
I hope with the notion of s-off/root discovered the Devs start producing for this device.

What about the GPE ROM by newtoroot? Is that not considered stock?

Carbon, neo roms was kick ass on the rezound. I would guess won't be long before he gets a one now being a root exploit is out. Santod Roms are stellar and kept bolt owners up to date when all other devs left for greener pastures.

There are so many roms out there I would like to try. I ran neos roms a lot and also nils. Miui is nice sometimes. I'd like to see something I never had on the rezound. I'm sure they will all be awesome!!

all I know is I love blinkfeed, which is amazing because even though I've always been a fan of HTC, the first thing I did whenever I got root was get a senseless ROM running (usually Cyanogenmod)

Technically GPE ROM is more a totally de-sensed Sense ROM than an actual AOSP ROM. It is still running HTC Framework I believe for things like the camera and in order to take advantage of the optimised sense drivers

GPe is a theme if anything

[Theme][Mods] Candy Shop For Galaxy S4 GPE Roms 4.4+

First off i am no develepor and i did not make these mods they were made by @matthew0776 he is a great themer and makes the candy shop threads for the nexus devices as well as the HTC ONE. I follow his work on the nexus 7 and stumbled on a theme he did for the htc one google play edition so i thougt i would try it out and sure enough it works!! now i went on to try the mods he made for the nexus 5 and they worked as well... i am not going to copy the ops from those threads i will just link them here. These will work on any GPE rom that is 4.4+, you must be rooted and have custom recovery and also know how to read the ops! the theme will not work running art!

go thank matthew for all the work he does before downloading anything. i tested all of this on the latest build by @Danvdh and everything is working great! the only thing i noticed is after flashing the black theme my deskclock was force closing so i disabled the dark one included in the zip.
now i will give you some screens so you know that the mods work. i like my device very simple looking and the mods he makes allows me to do so but there are so many more in the threads so make sure you go and read the whole op of both if you are going to use the mods and if you have never used zipthemer before i can maybe post a tut or just watch the video posted in the nexus 5 thread. he has so much in there there is just something for everyone and something to fit everyone's taste. i am just spreading the word that these mods do work on our devices.

yeah, I'm running this on my 4.4.2 GPE setup, but what about the 4.2.2 GPE setup ie. my gf's phone :/
