[Q] Blocked from getting into any of the Settings Tabs

I can reboot my Amazon Fire TV right into XBMC but when I exit XBMC and try to go into Settings and then Applications, nothing happens.... Any Ideas?

Uninstall the XBMC auto launcher, install FireDtv launcher. then move the XBMC icon to the top left corner so it's the first app your remote hits. You will then no longer have any problems with the XBMC being launched first and the trouble that can bring in some circumstances.

Trouble? My xbmc is always auto launched and tied to my home button. Never caused a single issue and super convenient. Just curious.

In XBMC use the default (Confluence) skin. Go to Programs. Enter and go to Android Programs. Find KFTV Launcher. Highlight and use the Menu button on the remote to make it a Favorite. You can now access the FTV home screen from XBMC

[Q] Cinema Addon for XBMC - Anyone know how to get this to work?

Has anyone figured out how to get the CINEMA EXPERIENCE addon running on XBMC 13.2 Gotham on an Amazon Fire TV?
I was able to install it just fine. Since the default Confluence skin doesn't have any built in support, I installed Aeon Nox and tried to add shortcuts to the main menu with this action:
RunAddOn(script.cinema.experience)
But this did not work. Then, I tried adding a button to activate it on the submenu with this action:
XBMC.RunScript(script.cinema.experience)
And this didn't work either.
I've been searching google for several hours now and can't figure out how to make this addon work?

If the skin has support for it you go into the movie info of a movie and there will be a button for it. I use Metropolis and it works well without having to do any modifications.

In Aeon Nox highlight the movie, then hit the menu/context key. This brings up movie info. All the way to right there is a"+" icon. This brings up a pull-down with Cinema Experience. First up was the trailer for Inherent Vice!

[Q] Question about the XBMC Home display

I had a friend bring a unit to my house that has the CPU usage and other information displayed constantly in a bar across the top of the screen while in XBMC... I have no idea how this was set or more importantly how to get rid of it. Out of all the units I've used and played with I've never seen this before.
Can someone tell me what would have caused this and where the setting is to disable or turn it off?

In which skin?
In Mimic:
- Go to System/Skin Settings/Home Window/Setup the main menu
- In each of your enabled sections, go to Select infoline, at the bottom of the list is System info
- In Mimic, at least, you need to select this for every section, so you can have different infoline information depending on which selection/section you have highlighted on the home screen
I assume it's somewhere similar, but not exactly the same, for different skins. I couldn't find it in the default Confluence skin.

Go to SYSTEM>SETTINGS>SYSTEM>DEBUGGING and uncheck "enable debug logging"
you may have to set "setting level" to advanced to see DEBUGGING

How to activate auto scroll function while reading e-books?

How to use the auto scroll function of Fire phone while reading e-books,do we have to download some special app other than adobe reader for activating auto scroll function,the auto scroll function is working perfectly in the silk browser.

Auto scroll works ok with kindle same as silk. But third party readers will need a separate app. There are some in the market but not fire specific.

How to activate it on kindle?

How to activate it on kindle,it's not working for my fire phone on kindle,where to activate auto scroll for e books.

Go into settings by touching a page anywhere then the font symbol. Choose scroll option. Scroll option must be selected in display settings too.

Ok, this I already did a long time ago, what I was referring to is how it is activated after that, because none of the selected apps makes me the pip or I do not know how to activate it on the remote I do not have the pip button or with any other button, I cry I cry

May be it doesn't support pip

I don't think PIP is supported at all in this model.

I have enabled the PIP this way for apps that allow it, but if I try to open them together with others it doesn't work. How should i do?
