I unlocked the att note 2 and I'm trying to use it in tmobile. I get 4g but my call signal keeps dropping and it says emeegency calls 9nly from time to time. The signal bars keep dropping out. Im currently running tmobile rom on mk6 4.1.1
i use the official ATT modem that was released with the 4.3 ROM. And use one of the ATT rom as well. Unless you really need Wifi Calling, I think just stick with ATT rom and modem
MK6 or even new 4.4 modem work fine on T-Mobile. I'm using eZkat 2.0 ROM (KitKat 4.4.2) with no call issues.

I have read that I can use a ATT ROM on my T-Mobile S4 and was wondering if I did so and then of course flashed a t-mobile kernel, if I would have wifi calling or not. I am not sure if that is part of the rom or not so wanted to just check.

You can flash an AT&T ROM, but flashing a T-Mobile kernel will not enable WiFi Calling, because it is part of the ROM. Sorry.
The way u wanna do it by flashing an att rom on a tmobile s4 more than likely
wont work cause the wifi call feature is built deep into the tmobile roms... AND ALSO WORKS OF THE SIM CARD.
On the other hand You should be able to flash any tmobile rom.... on a att branded s4 and get wifi calling just keep the att kernel..
And keep att baseband.
This should be no diff for s4 because
On the att s3 you can flash tmobile 4.1.2 roms and get wifi calling
If it uses aroma installer and opts to keep kernel...then keep the kernel but continue flashing tmobile rom...
Ive used many tmobile roms in my att s3 with wifi calling.
Havent tried it with a tmo s4 on a att rom.... just make sure u backup stock att rom if all else fails.

There are three prerequisites for getting wifi calling to work using an AT&T phone.
#1: Unlocked Phone
#2: Tmobile Sim card
#3: Flash a Tmobile 4.2 or 4.3 Jellybean M919 Touchwiz based custom or stock rom.
Once you have met those three requirements your AT&T phone will have wifi calling.

Just wanted to add, use the kernel and modems that are meant for AT&T even though you are running a TMobile rom.

No need to change modems, none of the cwm/twrp flashable zip file roms contains modems and
he needs to use whatever modem he already has, flashing a tmobile modem will most likely cause
signal loss since it's related to hardware and the AWS frequencies on the AT&T phone.

I have an AT&T S4 myself on T-mobile now and I cannot find a combo that works. I cannot install a recovery on mine without Safestrap and while I can flash rom's with this method, I have yet to find a combo of roms and kernels where everything works. I either get a rom that will not boot at all or a I get one that will boot but no wifi whatsoever (cannot turn on Wifi). I've tried Safestrap 3.65 and 3.71 and a dozen or so roms and kernels and still no combo that works. What I can say is that 4.2 based roms at least boot.

So I just switched from ATT to Tmobile and now using the Tmobile service. After I put in the tmobile simcard into my unlocked N900A, I got everything from good service to 4gLTE. Now I want wifi calling feature on my N900A, So I rooted the device with towel root and installed SS (of course after SU and BUSYBOX). After I backed up my stock rom, in rom slot 1 I installed tweaked N3 3.8 but the wifi calling toggle got stuck on "enabling". I thought may be something was wrong with the flash so I flashed the tweaked N3 3.9 but it gave the same result. So I thought let me try another Tmobile rom on my ATT note 3 so I flashed the "Effortless ROM" from the tmobile section but still when I see the wifi calling toggle in the setting it is still stuck on enabling.
Is there anyway I can enable the wifi calling feature onto my ATT note 3 4.4.2 NC2. I have seen people posting in ATT note 3 forum that they had luck getting wifi calling with tweaked 3.5 but I don't seem to be that lucky.
I installed the SRX tmobile rom on my galaxy S3 and the wifi calling feature is working great.

Sorry to say, but unless you have a Tmobile N900T phone
you will not be able to have wifi calling.
There are two prerequisites for Wifi calling:
#1: The phone needs to be a N900T from Tmobile.
#2: Your carrier must be Tmobile.
If you only have one or the other prerequisites then you cannot have wifi calling.

I understand what you mean and thats what I was thinking as well until I saw people's post in ATT forum saying they were able to use wifi calling on N900A after installing Tmobile rom. And wifi calling is working great for my ATT samsung galaxy S3 after installing tmobile rom on it with stock att kernel and bootloaders.
#1 requiring Tmobile device is only regarding the Note 3 or all the devices? for using wifi calling
#2 I am on Tmobile carrier just using the ATT devices because I just changed the carrier.
Hey guys, I have been having more than normal dropped calls and poor signals so I have decided to move to an actual TMobile ROM to match with my T889 phone.
I am coming from an AT&T based SKy Note Air G2 ROM with the MK7 modem and PSN_AGNi_pureSTOCK-v3.9.5_N7105_4.3_AROMA-signed Kernel, I also had to do a WIFI patch because I upgraded from the 4.1.2 BL to avoid Knox issues. I have TWRP back from March this year. I was wondering if I need to do anything special before installing the JEDI ROM.
Any helpful guides to install this ROM? I have checked the ROM page but couldn't get the info I want.
Can changing back to a ROM native to your carrier help with service signal?

No, I think some of the wifi calling features are built into the kernel. Since you have a locked bootloader and have to use the AT&T kernel this is a no go.
