Persistant download mode - Galaxy Note 8.0 (Tablet) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooti

I upgraded my phone to a 4.4.4 nightly rom from the 4.4.2 stock german rom and the phone will no longer be seen in odin
it also keeps going into download mode, this is without even asking me to press volume up to continue..but even though it is in download mode odin on pc doesnt pick it up.
any help please
thanks

also
the phone will not shut down, I can boot into the nightly rom but not always...a lot of the time it will stay in download mode
if i do get into the nightly rom and choose shut down it just starts back up again and goes into download mode
odin does not see this phone in download mode
my pc does not see this phone when i am in the nightly rom
can someone please help
thanks

I have recently bricked my Note N5120, when trying to flash kitkat. Odin not detecting it, unless i drain the battery to 0% till the screen is flickering or off. I power up with USB then Odin will detect the download mode. With this, I am able to flash any file with Odin.
As for my case, just not able to recover corrupted partitions or hidden folders (?), i am looking for a Odin PIT file now. Wonder if anyone is able to extract it.

Soft Brick Please Help

I am soft-bricked (I hope). A boot jig does nothing for me, but I am able to get into twrp recovery. It won't let me flash my current rom though (Mijjz). What should I do? (I am able to access odin through the twrp recovery right now though, and the computer does recognize it.) I am not able to boot directly into it. When attempting to flash in twrp it can't verify the partition size. I believe this is emmc?
Edit: This helped, but... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27852689&postcount=435
So this got my phone to boot again (yay) and now it can go into download mode and such, but my phone appears to be in a boot loop of the sprint logo, turning on and off. =( now what?
Edit #2: I am posting how I got this running for future visitors with my issue to see that there is hope of getting there device back online . So after I was able to get into download mode, I was able to go and flash the El26CWM and then do a Wipe on everything. I then was able to flash my favorite ICS rom, and get on my way. Unfortunately somewhere along the way my Modem got wiped out so I had to go back into download mode to flash it, and I found a new issue. For some reason, my phone still refuses to enter download mode without a jig. So I put my jig in, and downloaded the modem. All is working now (except I still can´t figure out why I need a jig to enter download mode, and the recovery wont boot for me either. It just goes and boots up normally. Its like until the Rom is loaded, it doesn´t take any imput from the buttons. I´m now running an FF18 kernel, so I find this to be odd, but at least I have a working device. Now I´m off to buy myself a nice memory card to compensate for the lost 8 gigs. The only thing that I can think of that may be causing the no download mode issue (although I can´t see why or how) is that I had a custom splash screen (not boot animation, splash screen) before I corrupted my emmc. Throughout the whole process of restoring, it displayed my custom one, except when I put on EL26, it went back to the Normal Boot screen. (the only time since the emmc screwed up that my buttons responded) But when I flashed back up, the custom one came back, and my controls to get into recovery and download mode stopped working again.

It really helps to know what ROM you were flashing, what method you used to flash, i/e ODIN flash then TWRP wipe, or TWRP zip install and wipe.
I would highly bet that you flashed an incompatible ROM, that was meant for another version of the S III, which would cause you to be in this current state. Which best case scenario you take it back to AT&T and tell them you were in the middle of using KIES to upgrade to the new OFFICIAL Jellybean, and your computer froze during the install, after which your phone never turned back on.
Second case scenario, you call up Samsung and get an RMA from them, wait 2-4 weeks and get your phone back, often times not having to pay the "fee" for repairing it.
Worst case scenario, you have a nice shiny new beer coaster. In which case you could mail to me and I could use it as such, as I am currently out of coasters.
Try using Odin to fix
1. Download Odin and stock ROM rooted
2. Put phone in Download mode (not recovery) by pressing and holding Vol Down + Home + Power
3. Open Odin on computer and load the ROM
4. Hit Start

I got it fixed. I had to pay some kid to JTAG repair it.

[Q] Help - There is something wrong with my Phone!

Hi XDA Forums,
I have a problem with my Note 2 for some reason.
Let me explain you what is wrong with my Note 2
I was sitting down and watching a movie, my phone was right next to me, The phone randomly turned off and after couple of second it had turned back on. It had showed the first every screen when you turn it on "Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100". Now from there it keeps on looping the same screen over and over again.
I had done some research before opening this thread, I saw that some people said I should try factory resetting it from the recovery mode, I then tried going on the recovery mode, it was not successful, it had showed me the same "Samsung Galaxy Note 2 N7100" screen and then repeated to boot loop it self again, I tried going on the recovery a couple of times but it didn't let me go on it.
Next I had then downloaded the 4.1.2 Official Firmware from SamMobile to flash it to stock again, I had then tried going on the Download Mode, It goes to the screen for Download Mode, but when I try pressing up to continue from the warning message it had then rebooted it itself and made it self stuck on the screen again.
Basically, my phone is stuck on boot loop, It does not let me access the recovery mode and it also does not let me access download mode.
ROM Using: Tigra_RomV3 4.3 Based ROM
Kernel Used: The Kernel which comes with the ROM or Stock, I didn't change the kernel myself.
If there is a internal problem does that mean I wont get help from the Warranty because the phone was rooted?
hello,
just try to use the jig, it should work...
use it so your phone will be in download mode, then flash your rom
Do you NANDROID backup? Maybe you may restore it by custom recovery.
Second, remove the battery first for a while and retry to access the RECOVERY and DOWNLOAD mode. If not, try the suggestion up there.

Galaxy tab s 10.5 Stock Firmware Bricked me

Hey guys, I could REALLY use some help with this. So i had my tablet Rooted. Then after a while my google play store wouldn't respond and I couldn't update any apps. So I decided to revert back to stock firmware. This was the file I had used.
(T800XXU1BOJ1_T800XAR1BOJ1_HOME.tar.md5)
I have the Tab S 10.5 bronze.
So I installed it with Odin and I noticed on Odin it said (Succeeded 0/ Failed 0) and the tablet didn't reboot itself. so I thought okay... it must not have worked. Let me reboot the tablet myself. Mind you the screen on the tablet was still in Odin (Download) Mode. After I reboot it, it went into the same bootloop with the TEAMWIN icon popping up over and over again. So I reboot it again to try and put back into download mode. Well it wouldn't. It just popped up with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S Icon and kept repeating that spot. So once again I turned it off to try and get it into Odin mode, and now it wont turn on at all.
Okay. As i was typing this, i have the tablet connected to the computer and it just randomly turned itself on and now its in the TEAMWIN bootloop again. I don't wanna touch it until I get someones opinion on what to do next...
AWESOME it bootlooped itself again but this time when the samsung logo popped up I held the volume button and got it into Odin Mode! now.... what to do next? I dont want to try the same Stock FIrmware. Idk if it was the problem or not.
alright so here is what I just did..
The tablet rebooted itself while I was typing that message while it was plugged into the PC. It turned itself on but when it was at the Samsung Logo I quickly pressed the Volume button and had gotten it into Odin Mode. I disconnected it from the PC, loaded up the Stock firmware from the first post. Plugged in the Tablet while it was in the Downloading Odin Mode. Hit start on Odin and it did the rest. Now the issue is it reboot, samsung logos popped up and went away. the Samsung logo with the little blips of light/stars around it came up. then it said Installing Applications with a loading bar. That lasted about 2 seconds then went back to the samsung logo with the stars. Then the tablet shut off and now i cant get it back on again.....
Hold POWER + VOL DOWN
Yeah. I know that. That's how I got it into Odin mode.. Thanks for four word incredibly helpful post...
Are you sure you downloaded the correct software for your device? You could try another region's firnware or re-download the one you used.
Since you still see the Teamwin icon I guess it didn't install the firmware correctly or all of it since your recovery should be the stock one again after flashing. Or did you remove items from the .tar file you try to flash?

Samsung Galaxy S4 bootloop

Hi, I have a Galaxy S4 I9500 and I'm using GEAR CM13
The ROM was working fine until a while ago, but now suddenly there's a bootloop. Last thing I remember doing was accidentally holding the power button a bit long (while trying to lock the phone) so the power off/reboot menu came up and and then I tried to exit from it, but the menu didn't go away and the phone entered into a boot loop
Now, the Samsung i9500 logo just keeps flashing every 5 seconds. I'm unable to enter into recovery mode. I can enter download mode but it just exits out of that after 5 seconds and starts flashing i9500 logo again. I read about a hack to remove battery as soon as I enter download mode and it worked. It stays on download mode now. ODIN recognizes the device. What can I do using ODIN to fix the bootloop? Is there any ODIN flashable zip? I'm on the latest [20160711] build. I have important data in my device. Please help me recover it
I know I can reflash stock ROM and from there, reflash GearCM13 but I do not want to lose data as much as possible. I'm trying for fixes which do not wipe my data partition. I will go ahead with the standard method if I do not find a fix to recover from bootloop without losing data.
