Anyone tried the encryption available in the kk Roms? Seems to encrypt the phone and the sd(?) and asks for password on Startup only. Anyone knows the performance Impact (I'm using pa 4.4.3 Art which is pretty fluid).
It is Not reversible.
Would be great if anyone could share their experiences.

I am running the stable version of cyanogenmod 7.1 and I've flashed earlier versions before, but for some reason none of them have ever allowed me to continue using my picture messaging. Another bit of info, I have the HTC inspire 4G and all other roms for the desire HD run fine when I flashed them.
Is this a problem with the rom or could it be because of the differences in phones?

doubt it has anything to do with the phone try with another cm7 rom
OK, found out that with my mobile data disabled it won't work. Now that I know of a way to make it work, I have another question. Other roms allowed me to disable mobile data and it would just use it automatically when I sent pictures, any clues as to why cm7 won't work the same way?

Its the way cm shuts the data off. Most sense bases roms are set to only **** off the internet part of the apn while cm based roms diablebit all together. I mentioned it and it was stated that it was supposed to work like this.

hello - does anyone know why ebay will struggle 99% of the time on wifi and wont work, but on standard data its fine?
and facebook - on data it struggles to update and wont load latest stories etc,yet on wifi its fine??
is it a known issue? is it app related? or the handset? or a setting i need to tweak? im on stock rom and plan to say that way due to using roms before but the navigation feature was broken on every rom.

Maybe fb requires more speed.. although I can't explain ebay :S

its usually on H on the internet or at least 3G+ it sometimes works after i force close and try, but after the 1st time it fails again...
Is anyone using encryption on their e980? I need to encrypt mine so I can use it with my work email. But whenever I try it, the phone will not unlock and I'm forced to do a hard reset. I'm not using the stock Rom. Currently, I'm using Slim build 2.1 (4.3)
Try sophos. My company uses sophos encryption for my laptop. Pretty sure they provide it for mobiles as well. Not sure if they would give out for a single mobile.
Plus, you got to purchase after free trial. For more info just search sophos on google :thumbup:

I have successfully rooted my SM-N900T Note 3 and have installed CM11/OnePlus One ROM and it's awesome. The problem I'm having is having a solid LTE connection. Before all of the rooting, my network was perfect. Now when I make a call, it throws my connection into "H" signal and it makes my call quality bad.
Any suggestions or fixes to this? Anyone is welcome.
P.S: I've tried manually setting up a T-Mobile APN and it's done nothing, so that's out of the question.

CyanogenMod doesn't support VoLTE yet. So when you place a call it drops to H...nothing you can do about it besides go back to stock rom.
Thank you for your info on it. I think there's a fix for it though. I have 3 updates for CM, but it won't let me update and tells me update has been aborted. I may have to manually install the update.

I have a note 3 and a oneplus one. The latest cm roms for the OPO, including the under development lollipop cm12, does not have VoLTE.
I figured. Lol. I'll just deal with it.

I haven't had working WiFi or Bluetooth in a long time and I've tried looking for the files and it won't let me install the Bluetooth share apk or no app has been able to fix WiFi. I've tried using terminal emulator to turn on and I keep getting files not found errors. I don't have access to a computer either so please leave instructions that ill be able to access and use from my phone. Thanks in advance for all your help!!

I will have your thread moved to your device section so the experts who own your device can help.
If it were me, I'd flash stock 4.1.2 with Odin and see if its the same. If it is, sure could be a hardware issue.
