The Kracken by Trident is really good. it has a screen cover back cover and just a gel cover if you want to feel light. the only thing I don't like is that the outer layer doesn't have rubber to stop it fr sliding on tables floor etc.. It has a kickstand for watching videos and a clip where you can clip it to your pants. there are rubbers that cover up the charging port and the headphone jack so water/dust doesn't get in it easily. The sound it makes when it drops is horrendous but its a very good case. Bought it for 25 bucks on eBay . if you watched the drop test on YouTube you can see its a very durable phone but there are those days when your phone falls on the floor, screen cracks then slides and get ran over by a car.. :/

That's very nice I was looking at the outterbox to, I don't mind its its bulky, as long as it can survive a dump from my lap onto pavement from my car and good height mishaps. I will check that video out.

I love my black Incipio case with clear back, it's not very expensive and I can't imagine a drop it wouldn't survive. Got in from Amazon for $15, very happy with my purchase.
Otterbox cases are certainly of excellent quality, however, I'm not the kind of guy to kill an ant with dynamite!
I have the trident aegis, it's a bit slimmer than the kraken and almost as much protection. I love it! Not too heavy either

Rubber or plastic, which material do you prefer? I perfer to hard case, it's sturdy.
Amazon will meet your needs, or you can use the following store if you want to make a personalized Moto X case by youself.
CASECOCO
zazzel
casetify
In order to show off my backplate I use the Rocketfish clear TPU case.
I have the supcase with black trim and clear back. Size isn't too bulky but has good protection. Dropped it a couple times and hardly scratched the case.

Same here. Only $3 bucks from ebay. It gives the feeling of more grip and a bit heavier to handle. The phone was very slippery and super light. Now its balanced

hi, can i have ebay link?
Melkco leather flip case jacka type..
Tpu gel cases for me..dun intend to spend big bucks on them since I be changing phone every 6 months.
I'm using a gloss white Barely There Casemate case, doesn't add much extra bulk and gives it some nice white lines along the sides.
Could you take some pictures of the Arc in the Barely There Casmate case? Seems to be the only case that will look okay for me, but would love to see some pics that are not made by the seller.
I saved the original battery cover and bought one from ebay that I use. The phone still looks new except that I need to replace the original screen protector.
I hope Arc replacement will better Nokia N9 in simplicity. I just got N9 and I find it makes my Arc look ugly :-(

i dont use any.. well because i dont want the phone's width to be increased

does it have the same touch feeling than a silicon one?
because i hate silicon...
What case do you currently use on your phone?
It is very curious to understand why users prefer some types of cases to others.
What is the difference?
What brands would you suggest, and why do you prefer it?
I used otter box on my moto photon 4g, but I stopped using it recently as the weather is getting much hotter, it seems to retain a lot of heat and my phone constantly shuts off at random in my pocket as I'm out in the sun most of the day... I still left the screen protector on it and it works pretty good... just no case

Trident Kraken for my Evo 4g, similar to otterbox but much cheaper.
For my HD7, i use two different case :
Soft sillicon case at home, only to prevent small contacts
Leather case (HTC Branded) for when i'm out !
Naked! My Xperia X8 handles everything!!! Mohahaha!!!

I use cheap cases typically from eBay. I currently have a rubber/silicon one and a hard snap-on one that I use. I switch them out when I get noted with the feel of one of them.

I used to use silicon cases, but I have been trying leather cases lately. There are actually nice leather wallet cases, surprisingly!
I use silicon case, just for make sure my phone are safe from any accident
Current is plastic case with flip.
Next, I looking for "Super water-dust-atomic-bomb protected case"
Got an otterbox on this thing. Working in a rebar factory, it's almost a must have now.

I have a Seidio active two piece case for my epic 4G Touch.. I love it and great protection not too much bulk.. Was only 30 plus a holster.. Most cases cost that much for cheap plastic bag crap
You could add one more option to the pool, TPU+PC , one example is Momax iCase Pro i have been using one for several months now and it is very good, still looks like brand new, and offers great protection my phone fell off several times and only a little scratch on the case.
I'm not using any case, i haven't found any enough comfortable
I use a silicon Otter Box
this one. only 14€

I have a silicon case for my Samsung Galaxy Player 5, i prefer silicon over other materials because it's most flexible, easy to put on or take off, water resistant unlike leather and doesn't break if twisted like plastic.
I will be receiving my new GSM Galaxy Nexus sometime Wednesday or Thursday after my Atrix (finally, lol) bit the dust. Before that I had the Palm Pre with the soft touch back, and when I upgraded to the Atrix I found the phone slipping out of my hand a lot. I want to avoid that nonsense with this new Nexus.
However, I have rather large thighs & I wear slimming fitting pants (not skinny jeans, but a nice slim cut that's exacerbated by my legs) so I don't want anything bulky that's going to make this larger phone any bigger than it is. I was thinking that I love the look of Skinomi's TechSkin Brushed Steel skin (link: http://www.skinomi.com/sk10074-samsung-galaxy-nexus-brushed-steel-skin-protector.html), and that combining it with a bumper case would give me adequate protection. I realize there are far better cases out there for protection, but something slightly more protective than a bumper case is a level I'm happy with.
Does anyone have any recommendations on bumper cases? Are there any that are compatible with any of the docks, most notably the car dock?
Thanks for the input guys.
Here's the skin in question. I think it is extremely handsome.

I've got a SGP Neo Hybrid that I cut the backing out around the battery door and covered the door with a carbon fiber Skinomi tech skin. You can see pictures in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=23152512&postcount=236
It has protected the phone pretty well, I've dropped it a few times, once or twice on concrete. As for a dock, I don't use one but the SGP case covers the 3 pins on the side you would only be able to use the USB port on the bottom. Hope this helps.
I got my HOX a week ago and I feel like the lens needs protecting if I want to lay it on the back, which I do all the time (who would lay it on the front, duh?).
I bought one simple silicon case, which works but as usual it draws dust to it pretty fast.
I looked at the Cruzerlite Androidified A2 TPU Case, it was very sleek and good looking, though it didn't protect the lens enough.
So yeah, anyone that can recommend one?
It doesn't need to have like a plastic cover over the lens. I just want to be able to put the phone on the back without the lens touching the table.
This is the case I got for my one x and I love it. hope the link helps

Looks like it protects the camera. Definitely an alternative, thx!
I have just aquired my One X and I got this case for it LINK. You don't really notice it's there as it sits really snug to the phone, is raised around the camera lens, and has a cool texture to the case. Comes with a screen protector too :good:

Amazing prices and very low freight! Ordered both the case you suggested (which looked awesome) and this. I also ordered a MHL adapter thingy so I can connect it to my tv. All that + freight for just about 37 dollar

I wouldn't blame it on nilkin. Everyone knows that white plastic gets yellow and or dirty fast. That is why I ordered the black and the rainbow
I have ordered this..polycarbonate, looks great with a pearl finish , minimalistic n comes with 6 months warranty..n being polycarbonate its very easy to clean n looks stunning..
Nillkin case has a textured finish..so dust n grime accumulate in those tiny holes n its almost impossiblebto clean..that's y I don't Like it all..

I have one of these on all my devices..very user friendly, can flip around and use the device while in the beltclip..very slim and light weight, and great protection..very easy to clip into your pocket, slide device out and use without the clip..or use device in the clip, propt in landscape or portrait mode, for watching movies also..I have had the Krakens and all those fancy / expensive cases..but I finally found my true love for a case..unless you work in construction, or heavy duty..this case is the perfect choice..
