Support SIM Unlock Issue ??

I'm having a problem unlocking the SIM. I have Incredible 2 unlock by code ( 8 digi)
ON HTC incredible 2
Settings:Security, there is a menu item for "Disable SIM card lock". + enter unlock code
but after enter unlock code , Incredible 2 will reboot
My problem is: After unlocking SIM I try to switch to GSM mode. It says "There is no SIM card on your device. Your device will switch to CDMA mode now". I tried number of working SIMs of other people phones... No success.
Change Simcard ( GSM) , turn on Htc incredible 2 , Settings>Call>Preferred Network>GSM/UMTS Mode always show "There is no SIM card on your device. Your device will switch to CDMA mode now"
I go to Settings - >Security->Disable SIM lock. It says "Sim lock disabled"
I can't make a call , i can't use GSM/UMTS mode ,I'm not in US
Try google search :

No solution ???
Sounds like the SIM isn't compatible. I thought I read somewhere that certain older SIM cards wouldn't work, not sure about that though.
Perhaps you can get a logcat and see what specific error you are getting. When I did this with mine, I saw something like "invalid CID...".
I tested an AT&T SIM card and it worked just fine.

Thanks mattwood2000
but how to get a logcat ?? Tool or use command line logcat in sdk http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/tools/logcat.html
??
I recently got back to the US from France. Before leaving I called support, unlocked the SIM card, and updated my PRL before leaving from JFK. When I arrived in France, I got no reception and was unable to switch to GSM mode. I ended up not having a working phone for the entire trip.
I get back to the US and complain to customer service and they offer to replace the SIM card. After taking my phone apart I realized that the CSR at the Verizon store had inserted my SIM card backwards. I turned the SIM card around and the phone now is able to switch to global mode. The correct way to insert the card is with the cut corner of the SIM card outside of the slot on the right (if you are looking at the card in the slot).
Not saying this is your problem, but it's definitely something to check.
ouch...that hurts!!
I'll make sure to double check mine when I touch down next week.
For logcat, I use Eclipse and DDMS. Just setup eclipse per Google's instructions and once you connect your phone (enable USB debugging), you will see a logcat tab next to the console. Just look in there...lots of data will be spit out of your phone.

I have checked and tested with 05 set of HTC Incredible 2
. There has only 01 set can't be unlocked and also can't switched into GSM mode.
I thought the problem comes from the set itself, not because of the way of inserting Sim card.
Thank Petitsinge for your support.
@ Mattwood2000 : tks , I will test for sure and then inform you.

Unfortunately at work!
I looked at your logcat and that is the same as I had with my European SIM - I guess the problem is that there are no local cells that accept that carrier/SIM card. What carrier is the SIM for?
I tried my phone with an AT&T card and it worked just fine.
I suspect that when I get to Europe next week there will be no problem with my card.
Can you try another card?
*EDIT*
One other though I had is what kind of SIM card - micro, etc.?
If its a micro you will need an adapter or careful hands to get it to seat correctly.
I'm having the same exact issue as the OP any resolution? I get "Network or SIM card error" when trying to access GSM options.
Thanks!

My Sony Xperia M5 restarts when i use Reliance GSM SIM Card!! Help me please :(

Hi,
I am from India. I bought this phone last month and I didn't find any problem with my phone till yesterday. I ported my number from Vodafone GSM to Reliance GSM for some better tariffs. When I inserted my SIM card it restarted telling me that "New SIM Card Inserted. Restarting..". But at the next complete boot the phone restarted again telling that "SIM Card Removed. Restarting". I didn't remove the SIM Card or use anything. It is restarting whenever I put that SIM Card. I have tried replacing a duplicate SIM Card and again my phone is doing the same. Seeing many websites, I have tried blowing and sucking the slot so that may remove any dusts. (If any). And tried using the SIM Card in all other phones. It perfectly works on all phones. In my mobile I have tried using all SIM Cards. Everything works in my phone except this Reliance GSM. What to do??
Thanks,
Jagannath Sankar
try using different sim slot

d858hk sim issue

I own a d858hk dual sim lg g3. Lately I am having problem with the sims. IF I insert sim cards in both sim 1 and 2 slots, none of the sims work and only 4g network gets connected on sim 1 sometimes. 2k and 3g on sim 1 and 2g on sim 2 doesn't work. If I put sim in only slot 1, only 4g network gets connected on sim 1 sometimes. 2k and 3g on sim 1 don't work. If I put the sim only in sim slot 2 then I get 2g working on sim 2. In short I only get the sim to work when inserted in only sim slot 2. If 2 sims inserted in both slot neither of the sims work. It is not a software issue. I have tried flashing the kdz, the tot file. tried kitkat, lollipop and marshmallow kdz with same results. I have even tried custom roms and the result was same. I only get network connection when sim is inserted in slot 2 only. It is apparently some hardware issue.. If anyone has insight on what the problem can be, please help me. Anxiously waiting for your reply

LG G3s nano sim

Could anyone help me how to get nano sim into LG G3s? I tried it with micro sim adapter and without it but in both cases I was unable to get service.
I would be thankful for any advice.
First, make sure you put it in the right direction. If you have, check if your device is locked to a different network than the sim card, and lastly, does any sim card work? A lot of G3s have had sim unrecognized+random reboot problem.

About my SIM card slot

Hello everyone,I'm from china so forgive my English
I have a problem recently and seems there's no other guys have this issue as same as mine.
My device has been unlocked and rooted, and I've flashed a unofficial ROM based on H2OS,and then the most weird thing is my SIM card slot 1 just can not work normally.
The specifically situation is,(I'm pretty sure that both of my SIM cards can work normally and one of them is a brand new one.) when I use the slot 1 only, every time I put the card in and after about 5 hrs then my device just can not read the SIM card,it shows up no SIM card inside, and it can't be solved if I reboot my device. I have to take the SIM card out and put it in again and after about 5 hrs it shows no cards in again like a loop.
And then I have tried my card slot 2, lucky for me it can be used well, none issues.
The third situation is when I use both my SIM cards, after bout 5hrs
It still shows up no cards in, both slot 1&2. And I still have to take the cards out then put them in again or I can just use the slot 2 only to avoid this weird situation.
And now the latest news is I used twrp to root my device again and now it seems everything works fine in slot 1, but I have to wait for 5hrs to make sure of this.
Oh I forgot one thing, once I tried to uninstall xposed but it seems nothing to do with my SIM card slot 1 problem
it shows up again!
No SIM card inside when I use the slot1 only.
it really upset me now and don't know how to solve this problem.
I may have had a similar problem. Sim1 would forget that I had a card installed every hour or so. Sim2 would forget there was a card installed once or twice a day. The only thing that would fix it was reseating the card and rebooting the phone. I suspect a loose Sim card tray and had to RMA my phone.

have you fixed the problem after RMA?I've already bought a new tray and waiting to try
I'm still awaiting my replacement phone. I will let you know when it comes in.
Just an update: the new phone works fine. It's safe to say that my first phone had hardware problems.
