[Q] Latest STABLE Cyanogenmod or other rom for Boost Mobile Variant - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I would like to find a Rom for My Boost Mobile Galaxy S 3. I have used a couple different roms and none were very stable, Kept getting "android UI has stopped" issues. I am looking for the latest stable custom rom for Galaxy S 3 Boost Mobile Variant.
Thanks in advance!
Cheers

By CM or other do you mean other AOSP type, or TouchWiz included? ND8 /NDC TouchWiz 4.4.2 is very, very stable.

I am cool with a touchwiz ROM but I want to be able to tether and stuff like a aosp ROM. Really prefer an aosp Rom. Though. Link to that touch wiz ROM?
Thanks cheers

Almost every TouchWiz ROM has native free tethering any more. It's easy to flash it on stock rooted TouchWiz, too.

or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2774902
The first one is Wicked X. Stone of the early versions you still had to flash the tethering mod after, he might have it all worked out by now.
The second is what I'm running now, and he's making it more and more to look like AOSP, like all the way, so maybe you'd like it better. I believe it includes tethering and haven't tested that yet but again if not it's easy to flash.
You have to Odin the stock ND8 tar the first time before you flash any ND8 or NDC TouchWiz 4.4.2 ROMs. You'll find it in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2738533
That will wipe your internal storage so back that up first. The Odin the latest Philz Touch Recovery, use it to re-root, then flash away.
Never Odin anything older than ND8 after that or you'll brick your phone. You can still flash from recovery anything you want except not an older modem, too.

phone freezing on ND8 kk any ideas

so i updated the wifes S3 to ND8 KitKat and now it keeps freezing, did the full wipe and install, ive used wicked 7.1, and tribute rom both have the same issues running kt with both, i've full wiped and reinstalled both, seems like if you try and do to much if freezes, there is nothing installed on the phone yet just what comes with the roms, not using anything yet and still does it, any ideas, should i use the stock kernel, or stock rom.. this should have plenty of memory... any ideas to lean towards??? need help happy wife happy life lol
Take the SD card out, Odin the stock ND8 tar after backing up what you want from the internal storage, try it without the SD card in. If the problem doesn't reoccur that way, back up everything you want from the SD card, format it on your PC and only put back what you absolutely must on the SD card, if anything, then put it back in and see how it does.

thank you, i actually done that anuways, the first time i updated her phone to kitkat i lost everything on her card, she wasnt happy, but i ended up finding the stock kernel and it has solved the problem, seem to be something with KT
Good catch. Yeah, for some reason not all of the "same" phones work exactly alike.

Galaxy s3 4.4 kitkat question

Guys I have a galaxy s3 from boost mobile. I never did the OTA update for 4.3 because I didn't want to get KNOX. I have flashed 4.3 roms with CWM recovery and KNOX removed but never like 4.3 so I would always restore my nandroid backup of "The Peoples Rom" which is running 4.1.2. I have read that if you did the OTA for 4.3 you'll have KNOX the device will brick if you try and do something like that. Now heres my question......
I want to try out a 4.4 kitkat rom for the galaxy s3 sph-L710 variant but read that you NEED the ND8 modem or kitkat wont work. The problem is I read ND8 will put KNOX in your bootloader. Does that mean I wont be able to restore my nandroid of "The Peoples Rom" on 4.1.2 without bricking? The actual 4.4 roms dont have anything KNOX related but the modem does? I have asked around and people arent really answering my question.

Notification Issues

It's appears that a majority of my apps won't notify me besides kik and Gmail, although all of others are enabled for notifications. I've wiped, uninstalled, and reinstalled, and it doesn't help. Restarted my phone a few times also. Not sure whats going on.
ND8 Stock Rooted, Stock kernel, no modifications.
Apps in question: text plus, snapchat, Facebook, Gmail.
Still nothing? Not one person? >_> can't be the only one with this problem
Are you using Greenify, or anything like it ?
I'm using greenify but it's it's not selected for any involved apps. I'll try removing it and see if it's just a kitkat incompatibility

You can add those apps specifically to Greenify's blacklist, so it'll definitely never hibernate them.

In the stock TouchWiz dialer, try ##72786#.
Then update PRL and Profile.
If that doesn't help, it sounds silly but it has helped some others. Try re-Odining the stock ND8 tar, then very latest Philz Touch Recovery and then you could just flash the already rooted but completely stock ND8 ROM.

help to get the best stock TW experience :)

okay after some CPU issues im back to running complete stock ND8 no custom recovery or root as of yet....but i want the "best" stock ND8 experience so what kernel should i use to be able to mod the stock rom and to be able to switch out ND8 modem for NDC modem....im probably gonna use Philz as my recovery again tho....any ideas would be grate and i have tried KToonsez kernel already (messing around with it gave me the CPU issues)
There's only, technically, four kernels available compatible with TouchWiz 4.4.2.
1. Completely stock kernel.
2. @CNexus' permissive modded version of the stock ND8 kernel (only difference between completely stock and this is it's permissive instead of enforcing).
3. @ktoonsez' KT747.
4. @CNexus completely custom one, which I can't recall what it's named.
KT747 is the most developed one. I look forward to trying @CNexus' custom one which I'm guessing won't be completely developed until his MOAR for TouchWiz 4.4.2 comes out.

[Q] Data dropping at random, any help?

Hey, this is my very first post here, so hopefully I'm in the right place and not repeating questions already asked, however my searches are turning up zilch in regards to the specifics of my issue.
I've had this problem follow me from rom to rom. I don't know if it started while I was still on Jellybean roms or after I hopped onto KitKat, but it has been with me for a while now.
When I'm going about my day, data will suddenly drop. The icon still displays 4G or LTE, but apps that need data won't connect and the browser just hangs. After rebooting, nearly always, the phone will be in 3G, even though the location has great 4G. It will work from here on out, or until it decides to crap out once again. It has done it with 3G too, though, the problem is not only with 4G.
In fact, I've noticed, especially as of late, that my service is awful. I can be in areas where I've usually had full bars, now I have just one bar.
On stock, I could just click PRL update or whatnot, but that's not an option anymore. Could it be that these sort of things are out of date? I'm really only familiar with flashing roms, not flashing kernels or radios.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.
Carbon Rom (Nightly - released 07/07/14, I believe)
KitKat 4.4.4
Previous KitKat roms, same issue:
SlimKat
CyanFox
Carbon
Cyanogenmod
Paranoid Android
Make a nandroid backup, flash an MK3 (TouchWiz 4.3) ROM temporarily, if you're on the MD4 bootloader.
Then in the stock dialer, ##72786#.
After, update PRL and Profile. Then restore your nandroid and find out if that helped. You could also check to see if Sprint is working on upgrading your area.
