What is this , didnt even know about this anyway do u just Have to do this everytime we r on the phone to toggle this on and off

This is a noise filter that blocks out unncessary background noise. It works like the jawbone bluetooth where you could be in a loud nightclub and still hold a decent conversation on your phone. Our phones come with the feature turned on but can be turned off if you desire. No need to worry about toggling it.
How do u turn it off besides toggling it

When you say it's "off by default", you're not confusing the slash mark as it being off are you? When you see the slash through the nose wave that means it's on

I'd like to know as well. Bringing this back since no resolution.
I want it off. Nowhere to be seem unless in settings.
Mine defaults to on all the time.
It seems that t-989 ROMs don't have it in the settings directly.
The i727 ROMs have it under settings > calls
Maybe some other way of changing it on the T-989

But every time I make a call or answer a call, it defaults to on. I don't want to do it on every call.
I like having the notification LED blink when my phone is off and an email comes in, but I find it distracting if I am doing something on the phone.
I didn't want to make a standalone app to do this--I don't want to waste system resources running too many utilities at once--so I added code to disable the notification LED blinking when phone is on to Earpiece, since I already use Earpiece. To enable, start Earpiece, press MENU, Settings, and turn on the relevant option. Earpiece is a hodge podge of stuff I use: quieting the camera (not quite to zero, but very quiet, and in all camera apps, not just the stock one), auto speaker phone (speaker phone when phone away from face, earpiece when phone close to face), etc.
No root needed.
How do you get phone to use led notifications at all other than while charging?

I don't think I have any trouble with that. The red light turns off periodically. Or so I remember.
I mean notification does not work at all except showing when charging... That's it

I'm assuming your on a custom Rom that doesn't support it. The notification light can blink while your screen is off to show that you have missed calls/texts/emails etc.

Open the phone application, then tap the settings button to the left of the home button. Then choose "Call settings." From there you want to select "Call alert." From that menu uncheck "Alerts on call."

How can I get rid of quick remote from notification bar? Even after freezing the app it still shows on there can't seem to find any setting to the it off the notification bar drop down menu. Anyone having an idea? Using a LG G Pro.

Oh, I think I had that same problem. I think I had to delete all the devices to get it to stop doing this. Also, it has a feature that allows it to automatically start devices when it connects to your home WiFi. Make sure that is disabled first. If that is not the problem then simply delete all devices you have set up in the app and it should stop.

Nope that doesn't help. It is only for the remote to show up automatically when connected to a WiFi connection you can select. Also freezing doesn't help it either. I also can't swipe it off the notification bar. It sits here forever.

Then delete tv1 and it should go away. If you have other devices set up you'll have to delete them also. This is why I quit using this app.

You might try SD Maid. Open the app, slide over to app control tab, tap screen to refresh app list, then scroll down to quick remote, tap it, then select freeze app. You can also use SD Maid to delete apps. You might have to buy the pro version. Not sure.

You should just be able to tap on the QuickRemote button again in your drop down. If you've removed the button (or never had it in your dropdown toggles), then swipe all the way to the right of your dropdown toggles to "Edit" and then hit the "+" in the upper right corner. Now, when you tap on the QuickRemote toggle, it will toggle the controls that appear in your notification dropdown.
I hope that helps. What I described is the normal behavior on my device. I haven't removed or frozen the app and I'm stock/rooted.

ummm i'm not sure if you guys are aware but there is a option in the setting that vibrates the phone if you have any new/incoming notifications while the screen is off, that way you dont have to turn the screen on if u dont feel the vibration... but if you do feel a vibration that means you have a new notification, excuse me if you guys were already aware of this future.

I'd also like to add that it doesn't have to be vibrating. It only ever vibrated when my phone was in vibrate mode. however if you turn the volume up, it would make a da da sound like a notification.
