I747UCUFNE4_AT&T 4.4.2
This project is abandoned by the developer
This is a completely stock rom, nothing has been removed.
Only changes include.
Root
Busybox
Permissions for ext. sdcard added for all apps.
Prerequisites include a minimum of a 4.3 bootloader and modem.
If you are not on the official 4.4.2 bootloaders and modem then you will need to flash ktoonsez kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756776
Directions:
1. Factory data reset
2. Flash ROM
3. If your still on 4.3 bootloader flash ktoonsez kernel immediately after the rom.
4. Let phone boot up, go through start up etc...
5. Open SuperSU, Let it disable Knox. If it gets stuck, press the home button and reboot the phone and try it again. It will work the 2nd time.
6. Nothing else to see here.
Flash in custom recovery.

You have the cache.img? I made a zip yesterday for a tar and can zip this up to but wanted to check on the cache if you had it
I'm pulling it now to create the flashable zip but i don't have an s3 anymore so I'll need someone else to test it

Well.... I'm not sure how I can get the cache image. There is no cache.img or anything in the OTA. The only thing I could do is make an image from my phone after a data reset??? Maybe. This is one of the reasons why we were never able to make a 4.3 tar because of the missing images. Eventually someone found leaked files.
The Rom is complete as far as the system image goes. It's also rooted. So anyone can at least make a rom with the boot and system images.

Beat me to it haha but thanks man. Been looking to dev a TW rom and now I can stop archi after deodex and save some time. Running apps build so kitchen was moving SLOW anyway. Thanks again man. As I no longer hav the phone and doing this for community and my buddy do I need to do anything to kernel for AT&T 747?
Question. I'm on your mj2/mjb bootloader combo on S3Rx. If I flash this, will I be stuck not being able to revert back to 4.1.2 for any reason I may have? Or will you be doing a 4.4.2 S3Rx version?
is it possible to make a zip to add spanish language ?

Hello,
I know I'm being lazy but I have the same question. I don't want to have to backup and restore everything after re-flash the stock 4.1.2.
I'm on stock rooted rom but with the franco.kernel.
Does anyone have a backup made by the franco.lernel updater of the stock kernel for the yakju i9250.
I would be grateful

Reflashing 4.1.2 update will go through the same checks as the 4.2 update and fail... and it would be pointless to flash the 4.1.2 images as you might as well just flash 4.2 images instead..

Just extract it from the zip file inside the .tgz. It's the file 'boot.img'.

You could flash the 4.2 directly using the factory images from Google without loosing your apps/data. Follow the steps from here
Note: You can download either Takju or Yakju factory image and flash as per your requirement.

I think you have missed the point. To do this I have to download the images, extract the kernel, flash the kernel, then do the OTA update. If I have gone to the bother of downloading the images, installing drivers and a toolkit/SDK etc it is just quicker just to flash 4.2

You can flash the kernel with fastboot. The entire operation including download & extract takes less than 5 minutes.
If you call that a bother, then indeed I don't get your point.

My point is, if you are going to the bother of flashing, then just flash 4.2. There is no logic in flashing 4.1.2 (boot or otherwise) to get the OTA to 4.2. I was just looking for a packaged CMW kernel for 4.1.2 so I could have done the patch update to 4.2 which would have taken less time, than downloading and extracting the images (seen as I already had the patch update downloaded).
I've spent more time debating the subject, than doing the flashing...

stock kernel 4.1.2
I rooted it had a ton of apps on it and I just couldn't leave it alone. I couldn't figure out why I rooted it and then my Shealth quit working. So, I decided to install a different rom. Which I assume was back to factory. Well then I didn't have the dual window feature and couldn't get it on there either. So, tried to flash another rom. Well that didn't work now it just says Galaxy S4 and stuck there. 2 of the roms that I try to flash won't even work for some reason. This is TMobile.
One of them is this: ! SGH-M919-TMB-M919UVUAMDL That one didn't work.
Did this one: I9500_Omega_v3.0_X.....
I don't know where to start or begin now. Been trying to fix this for the last 6 hours and it is 5:00 am in the morning. I am going to have to sleep on this one.
Isnt is for Tmobile US versions??

This is exactly what I need. However the download on that page is not working.
I am still having trouble. I have no idea why. I have rooted every phone that I had with no problem. But this should be so simple and it's not
When I first rooted Shealth stopped working. Then I was going to just forget about it. But it was something that I wanted to use. So after a few days I decided I wanted it to work. I didn't see that anyone else had this problem. So I downloaded what I thought was the US version but guess it was not. I installed this new rom. Well now I had 2 problems. No multi window and still my shealth didn't work.
Then I thought oh crap I forgot to do a wipe. So I did a wipe and re-ran the rom. Well that is where I got stuck. I can not get passed the S4 Screen still. I can get into recovery, flash the rom (the rom flashes in like 1min which sure does seem fast). I then reboot and get right back to the s4 screen. Can't get passed it.
So here is my question. These tar files that I keep downloading. They are all zip files. If I wanted to flash them via odin as one told me to do I can't because it is a zip. Am I supposed to unpack this or change the extension from zip to tar?
Been without my phone for almost 24 hours and driving me nuts. At this point I would be glad just to see a working phone.
If it is the stock tar file you need to unzip it. The tar will be in the zip file. It will have an extension of tar.md5 if memory serves.
Sounds like you lost system files. If you can still get into stock recovery, then reformat system and then flash a stock rom. From there, you'll have to reroot.

If its saying modded, that's not the one you flash in Odin. That's a custom ROM. For Odin, its the one in k0nane's thread. The last link you posted.
This, for the most part, is not my work. What this is is @DocHoliday77 's port of the sprint SGS3 4.4.2 ROM, which I have repackaged into an Odin .tar.md5; the point being for those who would rather flash this via ODIN instead of twrp/cwm.
You can thank DocHoliday77 for his hard work here, all I did was edit the build.prop and repackage with multiboot. Download link below.
Included in this .tar.md5:
-System image, with build.prop edited to accurately reflect our device.
-multiboot 2.12 recovery image (for those who don't know, it's TWRP 2.7 with the added ability to boot other ROMs in a sandbox)
-KT747 boot image, which is included with the original port flashable zip.

Not sure as I cant read your language, sorry. But one part says its LI1 and another says ND3. First, the bootloader/firmware version MUST be a 4.3 build.
Second, what is the ND3? Is that some sort of test build? Or did I miss something somewhere?

It does yeah, but I tried it without the md5sum and it failed as well, just after nand write start. On the download here the md5 check fails because the binary is supposedly invalid.
The system image was made by running mkfs-yaffs2-x86 on the system folder from the original port zip, running unyaffs does unpack it, but something is definitely not right with this image, I tried using unpack-ext4 on windows which usually works on odin system images but it didn't on this one.
Making an odin flashable isnt a straight forward process for the S3 it seems. MrRobinson is the only one I know of off hand that has an effective process to do so. He only gives clues to his process in his op. Ive done one a long time ago, but I think what I had to do was take tar the system.img dumped directly from the device using the dd command.
If I remember right, it had to be done immediately after flashing, been too long though so I cant remember for certain.
So if I am recalling it correctly, flash the rom, factory reset, then while still in recovery, using either adb or the built in terminal emulator, use dd to dump the image to your sd card.

Not sure as I cant read your language, sorry. But one part says its LI1 and another says ND3. First, the bootloader/firmware version MUST be a 4.3 build.
Second, what is the ND3? Is that some sort of test build? Or did I miss something somewhere?
Does it fail at the md5 check?

It's a Stock 4.3 bulid from Telcel, Mexico, in SamMobile says this:
In english:
Ok, thanks for the clarification on that. Once its confirmed working, you should be able to flash it just fine. If that baseband is not 4.3 though, you will likely have to update it as well.
For now though, you can always just flash the rom this was built from. Should get you exactly the same thing, only the method is different.

As far as I know, you need to upgrade to COD6, which is 5.0
Deodexed Version did not boot. Just gave it a try with no luck. Froze up at the Tmobile screen.

Could I dirty flash this over stock COD6 from yesterday to get rid of KNOX? Or must I do clean install??
I usually do clean install. But, dirty seems like it may be safe in this instance . . . .

@OvrDriVE Does this require any changes to the bootloader or anything else if coming from COG2? Does this include the tethering fix as well?
@OvrDriVE my fingers are crossed for this one, i think this is gonna be helpful for awesome developments ahead, pity using other variants 5.1.1 now we have our own

yes it does. you will want to odin dok2 1st. or at least flash the bootloader and modem from what i understand. and no tethering fix as i wasn't aware there was one needed.

If you did the OTA then simply ODIN FLASH twrp recovery and wipe dalvik, cache, system, and data (preferably 3 times) then flash the custom ROM. This method should work.
Just realized that there is a post that already has the untouched file from Sammobile.
Here is the post!

I recommend odin flashing the stock ROM then. You should be fine if you Odin flash the ROM then TWRP.
After that just wipe the usual and flash this ROM

I assume you are referring to rooting?
The closest thing is the BeastMode 1.1.1 Kernel.
Stock kernels will not work unless the "Root Restriction" is removed.
However it should be noted that BeastMode is currently not a true DOK2 kernel, it is still on DOG1.
Once the source is released there will be a DOK2 BeastMode stock from freeza.
If you are not referring to rooting then I am confused as flashing the update will give you the stock DOK2.
i got you
do you happen to have a pure stock deodex rom without anything else touched? seems like youve changed out some csc files etc

Check android development here, it has its own thread. All you have to do is make it deodex and disable knox
Screen mirroring is not working for me on this same with casting to YouTube. Anyone else?
