[Q] stuck at logo after flash - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Hi, guys. So some time ago I updated my T989 from 4.0.4 to 4.1.2 with Kies. Was ok at first but then I started getting some really annoying bugs and problems so I decided I want to go back to 4.0.4. I read all I could find about doing it... in the end I downloaded the firmware from sammobile and flashed it with odin following the sammobile instructions. Now my phone is stuck at the logo and I am not sure what to do. Should I try different firmware, should I try different kernel or simply reset it? Thanks in advance

Try sending a new recovery over through odin, let me know what happens

AT&T Galaxy SIII Bricked While Trying to Flash Back to Stock... Desperate For Help
Had my AT&T Galaxy S III rooted, stock ROM. Was having some issues after rooting so I decided to go back to bone stock, completely unroot so I flashed the I747UCALEM build from these forums on Odin 3.07. Needless to say the phone was held up mid flash, and I got a "FAIL" in Odin. When I tried to reboot the phone, I got a "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again" When I reboot the phone this comes up and it's almost like a permanent download mode. I tried to reflash in Odin to unbrick the phone and it fails every single time.
Am I completely screwed? If I send it back to Samsung like this they'll see the that I rooted (didnt trip the flash counter) and void my warranty. Not sure what to do here. Thanks for any advice guys.

Sounds like you got a bad file re-download the AT&T software again from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1737848 make sure you have Kies disabled i do think if its running in the background odin won't flash right don't hold me to it.and as long as you can get in download mode you should be able to fix it.also check here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1727443

Hmm this actually happened to me first time I tried to root (stupid computer fell asleep mid flash) however I was just able to reenter download mode and flash again, curious though , what did the screen say and where In the flash process did the Odin fail, for Me luckily it was 2/3 of the way through flashing system so I didn't have much to worry about. Though I imagine if it was writing something important like the sbl or somethimg and it failed you might be in trouble . All in all I would say try flashing again a few times maybe the file you downloaded is bad.

Downloading the UCALEM build from that link now on my laptop (my PC is notorious for connection issues with this phone, I should of known) and I'll pray for the best. Thank you very much for the help, I'll post back once I'm on my way.
I can't even download either firmwares. The direct downloads stop for some random reason at around 33 MB and there's 0 seeders for the torrent versions. Any other way to get these firmwares? Samsung updates isn't being nice tonight.

The update is in Kies as well.
Finally got the update to download, used a different browser. Flashed the new build through Odin and it worked, unbricked the phone. Apparently it is the connection through my regular PC. Thanks for everyones help!

[Q] Can't Re-install Android to Galaxy S III

Hey everyone. I'm having problems with my Galaxy S III/SGH-I747. I was having problems with it shutting off randomly. I didn't start having this problem until I got the Android 4.1.2 update. I did a factory reset a few times and that didnt fix it. So I decided to wipe it completely and flash either 4.0.4 or 4.1.1 back on it. Something went wrong during that process and it failed. Now, I start it up, and it just says "Firmware Recovery Interrupted". No It won't let me do anything. I've tried the Emergency Firmware Recovery Tool with the Samsung Kies software, and it fails during that. I tried flashing the stock ROM again, and it fails. I even Rooted it, and flashed ClockworkModRecovery and tried installing a custom ROM. It failed during those. So I'm really stuck. Is there ANYthing I can do to fix this? If so, I'd really appreciate you sharing it with me. Lolz.
Thank you in Advance.
P.S. The picture below says, "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."

android 4.1.1 bootloader needed

ok so the long story, my phone was stuck on 4.1.1 and would not update to 4.1.2 or 4.3, so i tried to install cyanogenmod 10.2 and didnt much care for it, so i decided to go back to just the stock 4.1.1 i got the DLK3 image and used odin to install it, but now i keep getting stuck at the samsung glowing boot screen, ive read you need to install a new bootloader and ive tried to find a few but a couple of the file download sites are down, so does anyone have a working link to a boot loader? thanks gt

Just reflash the same rom, this can happen if the odin flash fails. All you have to do is reflash the same rom, if it fails again then just try another USB cable. And one more thing, make sure that the rom you are flashing is the right one.
Are you flashing the phone on a PC? I'm asking because I think the latest release of Odin is 3.07. Using an outdated version of Odin and/or drivers may have caused of the problem.
Since you're on AT&T running 4.3, you cannot reflash an AT&T ROM because there is no AT&T 4.3 ROM that is flashable via Odin. Do not try to flash any ROM that tries to flash an older bootloader because this will brick your phone.

[Q] AT&T Samsung Note 2 Possible Soft Brick

Hello all, I'm here today because my note 2 (SGH-I317) seems to be stuck on the samsung logo. I tried using Odin and multiple ROMs, it says "PASS" but it looks like nothing was done to the phone. I can only get into download mode and not recovery, I tried to flash a custom recovery but no dice. I put many hours into finding a solution until I came across "Sudden Death", the device might of have a faulty chipset but there's no knowing for sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
P.S, I hope I opened this forum in appropriate location.

I was CM10 which is 4.1.2, I wanted to go to stock so I used Odin to flash back to stock which worked the first time then I installed the OTA update then thats when the problem occurred.
