Hey all guys here
The PA Team just released the RC 2 of their new build based on Android 4.4.3, I would love to see this ROM on our device because it has some very user friendly things, like Hover or the CM11 theme engine which is quite good. Maybe some dev like @surdu_petru or @tksla could bring that to our device? I would do that myself but unfortunately I don't have a PC which would be able to build Android so maybe some other dev could do that. That would be so awesome!

UHey Dudes
I have my Desire now for more than two years, and yes i still Love it but thats not my topic...
What i try:
I installed Linux 12.04 LTE (i think its this)
Used this TUT for setting um my build environment [LINK]
atm Im waiting for Source Downloading...needs realy long -.-
But what I dont understand at my progress:
The TUT i found is for another Device, but there u can find ->
Code:
/github
git clone git://github.com/nothingisdead/tostab03_device_cm10.git
git clone git://github.com/nothingisdead/tostab03_vendor_cm10.git
But, yes Im so smart to see it, I cant use this for our Desire?
So, what does i use instead?
Because anything must be out there, because we already have JellyBean and CM10 Roms out there?
Thanks
/:E and as u know I don't be one of those who just port
https://raw.github.com/Evervolv/android/jellybean/README for AOSP JB (tried ICS and JB, both compile and can be flashed)
https://raw.github.com/SpazeDog/android/jellybean/README.mkdn CM10 (didn't try)

Hey, thanks a lot Bro, i will try if the source is downloaded.. i just a f***ing slow internetconnection
But if i use the SpazeDog Repo, its just like the new SpazeDog Rom, or is this Repo synced with CM10 source to get it up-to-date?
Do we have a functionally device and kernel tree? Or is this the evervolv github?

Hello, I'm currently on a Sense ROM (Revolution HD 15), I didn't had any problems so far but I want to upgrade to a newer ROM version.
How an original ROM is comparing to a Sense ROM in terms of stability? I'm using NOVA Launcher so I didn't really care about Sense UI.
what do you mean with original rom...do you mean pure android like CM or AOSP rom? there is also already revolution hd 20.1 out...try it out it's really fine

I mean AOSP, there are some nice apps that work only on 4.2
I don't really have much time to try ROMs that's why I asked. :good:

which apps do you mean work only with 4.2.2? and no one can say which is the best because you have to see it yourself because not for everyone kernel and rom are working the same...therefore if you have time try it

In my own experience, Sense ROMs have better battery life. Lots of Mods are available and we have great roms over there which are fast, stable and bug free.
But AOSP Roms come with lots of goodies. Especially PA Roms with lots of customization (Nice UI manipulations there). You will be able to feel the essence of Android. 4.2.2 is super fast and super smooth.
You may check it for your self, it's really hard to say in words! Everyone should try it once. Trust me!

I wanted to try DashClock Widget
I think I'll try latest version of Android Revolution.
From what I read I need to upgrade HBOOT. Can someone point me to a simple to follow step-by-step? (also I only have Windows 8 installed)
I don't know if it's me or installing a new ROM is so much harder than on Galaxy S.
Also I did a nandroid backup and I wanted to copy the back-up on my PC. I connected the phone via USB, and the clockworkmod folder was empty, I had to uploaded on Dropbox from my phone to be able to save it on PC.
hi There Community!!!
i know this is the development section but i'll write it here because its for the 7.0 (sm-t210) !!!
is anybody out the who could port PAC to this little tablet?
i know the is a bit of CM devolopment going on so why not PAC, since this Tab doesnt have a S-Pen anyway.
ps
was just a question and pöease don't awnser "do it yourself" because if i could i would!!
First wrong section and if you know this why are you posting it here second we can't just port it we need to build it from source third we don't even have a working cm so don't expect PAC Rom fourth we don't even have official 4.2.2 we need that first because our blobs on 4.1.2 suck fifth: wait!!!

Hey S.King
I agree, what you said about 4.1.2 SUCKING is 100% correct. I have the T211 and i love the device, its a perfect size for me coming from the Note 2, however this Operating System is so Laggy its not Funny, i cant even find a way to over clock it to at least 1.4 or 1.6, and honestly i dont even know if that will help with the lag, Im just assuming it will. I cant wait till a few of these great developers in this XDA Forum come up with some WICKED Rom for this Device. I'll be here Patiently waiting....

Word of explanation: Maybe i'm blind but i can't add poll to existant topic, so let's spam Q&A thread).
Time passes, and we have decent KitKat ROMs for Codina in great number. At this moment (or in a week, when i release new build of Carbon KitKat) - 4.4 version is as stable and funcional as my BUILD 7 of 4.3 Carbon PLUS it has many additional features.
I have the sources of 4.3 version on my HDD... So i want to ask you (if you care) if we can name last (build 7) version final, stable and close the project. As you know there will be no (serious) sources update... When i delete sources - there will be no return...
It would be cool love carbon

Can't you just love the KitKat version?
You know - it's about space on my HDD and (possible) new projects
I love Carbon <3
But KK version

i love carbon but please made it 4.3 version. my personal reason :
1. we already have too many kitkat based rom and all of them have similiar features.
2. our 4.3 is almost bugfree rather than kitkat althought its very usable.
3. i like to playing game on my phone and honestly i usually use modded/cracked version of my favorite game/apps . lot of them didnt work on kitkat but works good on any jb rom.
continue development please
Please continue to develope Carbon 4.3. We need a stable JellyBean version as the KitKat is new not to mayn apps/games works on it also there are number of KitKat roms and they have same issues i think. In this stiuation a stable 4.3 Rom will be more useful for us. If you could resolve the last issues on Carbon 4.3, I will be very happy for a stable 4.3 rom.

Its stable enough. I think carbon devs will be busy on kk

But we've got stable 4.3 ROMs, and Carbon on 4.3 is stable too i think. If u need space, then u can delete it, it is ur deal bro . Carbon 4.4 is awesome and in normal using my phone i dont see any big issues, so u can Focus on kitkat, to make it better and better

If u need more space delete files. I prefer your carbon 4.4.2.
has anyone tried using the latest stock rom and custom kernal by visonary is there any improvement ? with and without custom kernal and is there still bugs in latest stock rom
Don't use visionarys kernel with the latest stock.
Elephone changed paths in the new ROM, so blueflame4 has to rebuild the image.
Look at his thread, to keep up to date.
Cheers

The kernel manages the hardware but not the features in the ROM. If Elephone screws the ROM a custom kernel won't help.
