Hello all,
So I have been a long-time Cyanogenmod user, and I wanted to switch things up a little bit, so I installed the latest Paranoid Android on my Nexus 4. On CM, I had the option in settings to have the volume rocker only control media volume, and not the Ringtone Volume, is this possible in Paranoid Android? So that like if I'm at the homescreen and i press volume down/up it will change the "media" volume, not the "ringtone" volume.
Cheers

Hey guys,
I have an issue where i am unable to change the volume when listening to music via the music tab in manilla (using 2.1 atm). The volume rocker changes the system volume, but the music does not get any louder or quieter, unless i put the device into silent or vibrate. The music tab doesnt have any volume controls either (an oversight imo). Can anyone advise me with how i can adjust the volume?
Thanks
Any ideas?
Volume rocker changes music volume fine on mine. Check on the thread for your rom, perhaps others have had similar experiences and can help you.
Hi guys
is there a way to "unify" all the system volume? i mean when i change with the volume rocker, an UNIQUE volume for ringer, system sounds, multimedia sounds, game sound, ecc?
in fact, like the way it works on iphone...
thank you
Is there some way to increase the bluetooth volume in CyanogenMod 10.2.0? I have already maxed-out the volume slider settings.
If you are using media, you could try using an application like Poweramp and fiddle with the settings.
I have CM11 installed and I can't seem to use the volume rocker while i'm in the lockscreen. Is there a solution? Am I missing something in the settings app?

Do you mean media volume or ringer volume? Last time I checked, ringer volume cannot be changed straight from the lockscreen aside from the power menu's options (silent, vibrate, ring).
Are you trying to navigate between songs perhaps ? Like @tonytien said, we need to know what purpose you were trying to use this multipurpose button pair.
Nahh, I'm just trying to perhaps change the volume of my ringtone while using the volume rockers, I know I could do that when I was with stock rom and when I was on 10.2. Maybe it's a bug or am I missing something inside the settings.
I haven't used 10.2 enough to know since I've only used 11 with most of my time in the CM world. If ringer volume on lockscreen was ever a feature, it might have been removed. You could check the Buttons section in your settings, I think.
I have a OnePlus 3T, and recently updated it to LineageOS 16, from 15.1 - however I imagine this applies to any device with LineageOS 16.
I realise that Android 9 has changed the default behaviour of the volume keys, to adjust the media volume by default. Whilst I can appreciate that some users might find this useful, I much preferred the ringer volume being changed by default and the media volume changing when media was being played. It seems like now there is no way to change the ringer volume using the hardware keys.
Is there any way to undo this change in defaults and make the volume keys adjust the ringer volume by default? Or at the very least, stop the ringtone from playing when I change volume from the "Sound" setting menu? Typically when I am changing the ringer volume I'm trying to reduce the amount of noise I might make, but Android chimes by playing my ringtone, which is very annoying.
