[Q] NE6 Transparent Statusbar - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Hey, I've noticed that since I updated to NE6, the status bar on many apps is transparent, or blends with the top of the app, For example:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
My question is this:
Why do some apps have the transparent status bar, such as Titanium Backup, Drives, Messaging, and others, but other apps do not?
Also, is there a way to make other apps conform to the transparent status bar?

I think that the NE6 transparency as depicted in your post looks a lot better than
if it was 100% fully transparent. It looks kinda "3D'ish" if you know what I mean.
The reason some of the apps don't/can't use the transparency effect or don't use it properly
is due to the fact that some apps (mostly from the playstore) are not designed to be modified
by other 3rd party apps like the app you use to create your transparent status bar.
The better built/designed 3rd apps can and do transparency very well though.
Good luck!

I think you misunderstand me. I did not modify anything. This is basically stock NE6. (Effortless ROM) He listed no such mods.

Set this image as the dock background:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
...and then set transparent shortcuts for the app drawer, phone, and settings on top of it.
You can use "Fancy Widget" as the clock, it's identical to the stock HTC clock.
You can also use Pure Messenger, Calender, and Music widgets with the Sense themes that come with them to replace the other HTC widgets.
I did change the system font, so the weather info on the clock will look a little different, but you get the idea.

Custom (transparent) status bar running LeeDrOiD?

Running LeeDrOiD 6.2.0 and GO Launcher (other launchers have been tried), is there any way I can make the status bar transparent or even solid black as the gradient bar kind of ruins my theme at the moment.
All the theming/modding links here seem to say they mess about with systemUI.apk which could screw up the ROM.
Removed Sense when installing if that helps.

+1
Would absolutely adore a fully transparent status bar.
Seems there's only 2 of us interested but can anyone help or put my mind at rest and say it can't be done?
You can try this, should only inject transparent statusbar into your SystemUI.
Dont know, if it works with another Launcher than Sense, so dont forget to make a Nandroid-Backup before flashing!!!
LG, Helmut
Thanks for the suggestion. This mod changes the status bar in apps and the lockscreen but not Go Launcher home screens.
Will keep searching...
O.K., then GoLauncher uses another statusbar-background.png than Sense (using the one in SystemUI)
Dont know how to change it in GoLauncher

let me see what i can do.....
no that hard to do
EDIT : upload me your go launcher.apk , because market is giving me french version only...
Just in case anyone is interested, at some point GO must have implemented custom status bar support and it can be found here;
Menu (from home screen) > Preferences > Advanced settings > Support transparent status bar
I'm now running ViperX but I'm sure this would work across the board as long as your ROM supports and gives the option to change status bar transparency.
:good:

Transparent Navigation bar?

I see people with transparent nav bars, but the ways I know how to do it aren't working. Gravity box removed transparency settings in KK, and I have the nova beta, but there seems to only be an option for transparent notification bar, not nav bar. So what am I missing here?

Works for me. Try reinstalling nova or clearing the data... Keep in mind that it'll only be transparent on the homescreen, not in apps.

Yeah, I know. It works on my Nexus 5 like it's supposed to.
I reinstalled it and it works until it randomly stops. One time I just changed the wallpaper, and it got disabled. t's annoying to have to reinstall and reset all my icons and folders manually just to have it stop an hour or so later.
If I save a backup and restore it, it restores the black nav bar too.

Try clearing cache and dalvik... or switch to ART to see if that solves anything. Other than that, I'd say a system restore is in order.

[Q] Change navigation bar icons in the Theme app?

Hi guys, I've been trying to figure out how to change the icon of the navbar for a few days now, still have no clue. It would be nice to have the Stock Android look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I see some theme on the market which have the navbar icons changed, so I assume that it is possible to some options (which I don't know about) in the Theme app to do that without rooting my M9, right?
Thanks in advance
Create a Theme here under Maker Pro
That allows you to change all icons and navbar stuff. I think it does anyway.

Yeah I tried it a few days ago, it does let you change icons of a lots of popular apps, but I don't see any option for the navbar whatsoever

You have to use the pro -themer on the page.
Then nav icons and the clock widget have their own steps in the process.
Now... if someone can tell me how to hack the google icons inn instead of the choices htc give me... (they have one that is similar to stock but square is home and two circles indicate the task switcher. (and there is an ugly line on the back key))
i still can't find it

Android 13 - Remove/Hide battery icon from status bar

Hi,
Does anyone know how to get rid of (remove/hide) the battery icon from the status bar, while still showing the battery percentage, particularly on stock Android 13?
This could have easily be done on previous Android versions through the Gravity box XPosed module however, no working version is currently available for Android 13.
Already tried :
Firefds Kit works fine and I have it installed, BUT it doesn't come with this feature.
I've tried AOSP Mods but it doesn't work on Samsung's stock Android 13.
The SystemUI Tuner app can no longer access Samsung's System UI.
I would appreciate any suggestion, other than the ones already mentioned above, that is known to be working on Samsung's stock Android 13.
Thanks!

You're welcome. Seems too easy, doesn't it?
Quickstar is a great moding app...
Don't forget One Handed Operation plus, it's not like what it sounds.
I use NavStar, Clockface and Task Changer a lot too. The app Double Tap as well.
Stock N10+ running on Pie with lots of UI bending apps. They use very little battery.

Right, it does seem too easy!? I was in denial for the first 5 seconds...
I still rely heavily on LMT, Tasker, Firefds Kit and other root-based customization tools but I'll definitely check out the other suggestions as well. Again, thanks a bunch!
