I have setup the gmail account in the stock email app(kitkat 757), after setup, some emails cannot display, the screen is keeping in the loading screen, but some emails (maybe content is small) can display normally. Any one facing this problem too?
Why are you adding your Gmail to the email app?

Because this is my company email account, If I use the gmail app, they need install some policy in my phone and force me to have a security screen lock.

I'll try to add my Gmail to the stock client and report back.

any help? is this possible in gmail and yahoo? using k9
Umm, if you have Gmail and setup your phone with your account it will be pushing it if you set it to!?
hmm so it means in the exact moment i receive an email it gets to my phone?
yes. If not, go to Settings, Accounts and check that Google gmail is ticked to sync.

ok, thanks
I have both apps on both of my android phones (atrix_4G & SGS2). I obviously use gmail as my email provider. Does the gmail app offer functionality that that standard built-in email app does not. If not I'll probably delete the gmail app, as I get emails in both of them, at the same time. I don't need the redundancy so let one go.
I like K9, awesome email app...

K9 is the best mail client for me, no wakelocks at all anf much more customizable

the Email app is definitely better than Gmail in terms of functionality.
although, Email and Gmail are both craps, why not try Kaiten email, you will never regret it. You receive email instantly, just like chat!

With K9, I find trying to distinguish unread emails difficult. Anyway to solve this problem?
I use both of them, I use Gmail for my Google account and Email for my another accounts.
I think Gmail is better
both
Gmail is better...i like the whole look n feel of the app.
Email app, grouped mail box
I used them both, for another email i usually use browser directly
I use both of them and they are both nice email apps but have personaly a lil preference for gmail .
I use the Email program from ICS AOSP (wanams hacked version) much better than the sammy email.

But does is also have push notification for gmail?
i like how email would compress image attatchements but other than that i just use gmail. im used to it.
I like both , but i consider gmail my favorite
Neither of them really as you need both Gmail is Google accounts and email is for MSN, Hotmail etc... accounts
using Gmail default.. Its working fine for me
I have an exchange activesync account configured which uses a client certificate. The problem is that, all I can read are the subject of the emails. When I click on an email in the inbox, it opens with an empty body. Anyone else got the same problem?
I'm using the email app available in XTXperience v7 rom.

Just tried SolMail and it works pretty well. The only downside that I have found during these few hours is that SolMail does not nest conversations.

Gmail is more than enough for me.
Important is you can receive and read your messages.
And yes i add few email accounts in one email client that includes my own domain.

Im using k-9 since 3 years
had the same problem as you (none gmail mail provider )
i found "MailDroid" the best.
you can even consider the free version as it enough for the most users..
but and there's a big but.. im still using gmail app for my gmail account as it's much more intuitive then any other email client i tried in android.
Just though of something, why not just link your account to gmail? I have a few that aren't gmail which are linked to it and it works great.
k9 email. I have been using for the last 2 years.
10 email accounts, many check every 5 mins when I wifi, wakelocks high but I still get over a days use, since I charge every night, its not an issue
with those toggle shortcuts change k9mail to sync only when background and autosync is checked, and turn on auto sync at will, so with mobile data or away, you can trigger when you like.

AquaMail
Enhanced Email. Particularly good for Exchange ActiveSync.
I was using the stock HTC mail app for my mail since it is the only one that will interface with the lock screen, and it seems like it only keeps my main account synced, and will only sync other accounts when I open the app and switch to that account. Is there a way that I can fix this or is that just the way the stock app functions?
