Yes I use odin 3.09 on pc, instead of wipe I use Format on twpr2 for n900t, then installed stock rom, then back into stock recovery and wiped and nothing, no sensors works ever since kitkat was first installed on this device. . [emoji20]

I'm to to sure on the format option. I know on another phone it screws things up badly.
The best I can say is use odin 3.07 and flash the tar update. .
It will remove root but your be able to use the app to get it back.
Ill try that, thanks

I think i deleted some internal files, can anyone please share internal files that involve the sensors for Tmobile Note 3 N900T
Your file system may have gotten corrupted. I had a weird situation once that I just couldn't resolve, no matter how many times I ODIN'd stock ROM/firmware. The answer for me was to rebuild the EFS file system, as outlined in this thread, the second half of the OP.

My problem is i deleted some internal files non rom related
Well, this might a time for T-Mo store visit. ODIN to stock, take it in, and see if they have any kind of wipe/reset procedure. If EFS reset didn't work, I'm all out of advice. )) Sorry.

Here is a stock rom backup for the Sprint G S III. I made the backup after doing a data wipe, so the rom is pure, no lingering data, ect.
Instructions:
-unzip the .zip file
-move the backup folder into your existing CWM folder on the S III internal memory
-restore in recovery
Again, this is a stock backup as some people need it.

From my dropbox, so hit it easy.
Nice, know of some that will appreciate this.

And he at least did something that could be useful until we get a real stock rom .zip or .tar

It's not, it's a backup. That's not the point, it's still useful to many users that have possibly screwed their device but still have access to recovery. Especially until something official comes out.
will there be a stock package on odin different than just the stock boot image? my phone is bricked for no apparent reason(see my thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1731416) and flashing the stock boot image in odin does nothing. i Also cant get into CWM to flash my backup...

Eventually there will be, but a lot of people [to include major developers] still don't have the phone yet, so we'll have to be patient. I looked over it, though currently are you able to get into recovery still or no? Additionally did you try re-flashing the cwm recovery in odin?
I can get into download mode but not into CWMR. The only thing i have tried flashing since it bricked is boot-stock-sprint-sph-l710.tar (which sort of worked the first time). I'm at work and don't have my phone on me so i guess i could try flashing CWMR again later but this is really weird. Thanks for the reply. This is my first Sprint phone, but on my Droid X we had a program similar to Odin where you could push a .sbf file that included everything stock and basically just reset your phone to stock. Do these exist for Sprint phones? The . SBF files were usually rather large(around 350mb or so) but the boot-stock-sprint-sph-l710.tar is around 10 or 15 mb so i know it doesn't include all the system files...
Thanks again

Lol i just replied the same thing over on another thread he posted in. Stop jumping around pizzle! if you can get into Odin chances are good you can flash cwm and then restore the backup
hahaha sorry about that. When I try and boot into recovery it looks like its about to go to Recovery and then freezes on the Galaxy S III screen. I'll try reflashing CWMR when I get home...Thanks for the advice
So is a back up a nandriod?
I have made a few but never resorted one, you just flash it same as a ROM and your done?
I misplaced my stock nandroid when I flashed CM10 build 2 and my extFs SD card had to be formatted to use again, I was sure I had in on PC but can't find it.
Thanks!
I've searched both xda and Google and haven't been able to find anything.
Yesterday, I formatted everything possible via CWM6.0.2.3 (/storage, /data, etc.) and (of course) ended up having to reinstall the stock rom as I've effectively soft-bricked my phone.
After getting everything up and running again, I installed ROM Manager and it said that I still had TWRP still installed. What's more, the stock rom had the wallpaper and lock screen message I'd set up before formatting everything.
I later hooked my phone up to my pc and deleted everything from both internal storage and my sd card, though Windows showed that there was still some data left on the phone. I again did a fresh install of the stock rom and the previous background, message, and TWRP are still there.
I know I'm being a bit nitpicky, but where is this data hidden and how can I delete it?

Only select Auto-Reboot. There should be a one-click that will prevent disaster. It is right here. Be aware of the 16 vs 32 GB option.

I've tried having Auto-Reboot and F-Time Reset checked and I still have residual files.
After trying the one click method you linked, absolutely nothing changed except I was no longer rooted. Still had same apps, lock screen, wallpaper, etc.
And you've done a factory wipe? What apps are remaining? I guess I should get more specific.

Yes, I've done a factory wipe. All of my apps remain; I still have Chrome, ROM Manager, Nova Launcher, etc.
If I delete everything, everything goes to stock except behind the scene things like TWRP still being installed (according to ROM Manager).

I'm relatively certain I followed the directions properly, and it works as far as getting back to stock. Though in the video he mentions that data wouldn't be wiped and that's what I was aiming for: wiping absolutely everything so that the phone is as when I first got it. No custom recoveries, no saved lockscreen message, nothing.
You may have to manually delete them then.

I have a " RESET_LJ7.zip" that will delete everything including recovery and reset flash counter, but it's a huge file, I'm not home, and I haven't uploaded it anywhere. You can search for that zip file name because I can't remember where I originally found it, or I can upload it tonight for you, it's just a flashable zip

No I'm not sure where the recovery is restored, I didn't make the zip I just have a copy of it because I needed it when I returned 2 phones to Sprint Like I said search that name for the zip, and if you still don't find it I'll upload it when home, that could be VERY late though

Here's stock LJ7. I assume you know how to use Odin so here's the file as posted by Skunk Ape1. All credit goes to him.

Oh and also, the files you delete while "formatting" the phone on the computer are only the extra app data (like back-ups and such) and other extra files. Things like recovery are in hidden system files that I believe can only be deleted through a specific clear (like system/data clear in TWRP) or by flashing a complete stock tar through Odin. Well you can also manually delete them but that takes a while.

That is correct, the recovery is stored on a separate partition from the OS, so you cant clear that just by formatting system and such. Its also best to simply replace it and not clear it, because if you clear it you are completely removing everything from the recovery partition and that may or may not cause issues
@OP, One way you can remove your custom recovery (and replace it with the stock recovery) is by flashing a full stock tar. In the general section there is a thread titled "MA6 OTA!!!", read through there because some people posted links to how to get the stock recovery back on without having to ODIN a full stock tar (they needed to flash the LJ7 to MA6 OTA through the stock recovery)

Ah, thank you so much. The main thing that was bugging me was that I couldn't seem to get rid of CWM and TWRP, but now I know they're hidden.
But I've flashed CWM, TWRP, then went back to CWM and whenever I open Recovery Setup in Rom Manager, it says that both CWM and TWRP are already installed, which is what's bugging me. Rom Manager works just fine and all, but I'm just really curious about why/how I can have two recoveries installed at the same time (I thought flashing one would delete the other).

This is why I hate the dependence that people have built on touch recoveries and recovery controlling apps. It makes people forget that the recovery works like a computer bios. It's not hidden. It's just on its own partition. When you fire it up, it's essentially booting a separate partition so that you can control everything on the main partition and nothing from your rom or kernel are in use at the time.
I was gifted an S3 with known issues(primarily battery and speed related). I backed it up and then performed a factory reset from settings. The sucker has yet to boot past the second samsung screen. I tried ODIN &it did not take. I can access recovery and download mode tho.

Yes, here is the link for a TWRP (custom recovery) flashable. Please note this is not the very latest TWRP. The latest version's link is failing to download as of this post. You can put that .tar file on ODIN's PDA section and flash away. Once inside, select Wipe, then Advanced Format and proceed to wipe clean the device as in selecting /data, /cache, /system, Dalvik Cache and Internal Memory (internal SD). Why the internal SD? Because sometimes the device requires a full factory reset in order to begin working again (or just select Format Data option and write yes). From there try to reset to Download Mode and try flashing your device model's latest ODIN image by putting it on the PDA section. (for example, model T999 latest is named "T999UVUENC2_T999TMBENC2_T999UVUENC2_HOME.tar.md5")
Thank you so much!

That's a very personal decision. For example, I prefer phones with removable batteries, so both Samsung and LG fit the bill but both are slow with official updates. In the end, all manufacturers have their ups and downs. It's all up to you. I'm also thinking on the Nexus 5 but only because it's easy to open up and replace the battery (watching the ifixit teardown page).
here's a whole thread on opinions. might be useful.

I'll get to researching. Thanks for all of your time and help.
I hope I am posting this in the correct forum.
I am running the Note 4 with a stock rooted Lollipop rom, with a TWRP recovery. Starting yesterday, I have had problems charging the phone. Most of my cables will suddenly not charge the phone at all, or perhaps charge the phone for a couple of minutes and stop. I have found that if I turn the phone off and plug in the charger that came with the phone (the fast charger), it will charge very slowly, but steadily.
I did some reading on this and what could cause it. Since it happened with all my cables suddenly, when they were working fine the day before, I have to assume the issue is the phone itself, not my cables. It could be (and I am hoping it is) some dust in the USB port, so I am going to pick up some dust off and try to clean it that way. But if it's a hardware problem that needs to be addressed, I am a little hesitant to bring the phone into the Sprint store
where I got it because I have tripped the KNOX meter and assume I could have some issues with that. At the very least I assume I will have to return to the stock recovery if I don't want call attention to the issue at Sprint. Anyway, I would be interested in hearing from anyone else who may have had these issues on any suggestions they would have for my on my next moves.
Addendum:
Just realized I should mention that my carrier is Sprint and I am paying for insurance every month as part of my bill. I don't know if that makes any difference as to whether the rooting and Knox would be an issue or not.
=========================
Thanks.
Back in December the consensus was that Sprint didn't care at all about root or Knox trip. And Samsung had a one-time pardon on Knox trip regarding warranty repair.
Recently, a few have posted contrary to this belief. With Sprint warranty, I do believe it is OK to bring it in stock with Knox trip; just don't mention root or trip. Take it somewhere else if they refuse to help you.
That said, have you tried backing up your app data, removing sdcard and wiping everything several times, power down and Odin stock tar and checking charge feature? Worth a try. I'd even suggest trying the NIE stock tar if another tar fails.
Just do the wipes in TWRP and power down prior to Odin in download mode.

Thanks very much for this; very useful. I was going to try what you suggested, the problem I am having now implementing it is that whatever issue is happening with the USB port also seems to be keeping my desktop computer from recognizing the phone is plugged in. I tried going into download mode, connecting the phone to the computer with the original cable, and running Odin, and it does not appear. I can imagine this is going to cause me problems if I want to revert to stock recovery before I bring the phone in, as I assume I cannot use TWRP to replace itself with stock recovery, correct?
Yesterday the phone did charge for a while, all the way up to 60%, right after I wiped dalvik and cache. I was also able to charge it for a while when it was turned off. So I am still trying to sort this out. One additional thing: though I was able to charge for a while when it was turned off, I notice now that if I turn the phone off and plug in the charger, the phone does not show a charging image, but it does throb continuously while it is plugged in. Very odd.
You want stock recovery? Since Odin didn't work, you can try Flashify. Extract files from the BOB7 stock tar using PC, transfer via USB to storage and install the recovery.img using Flashify app from Google Play.
Can you use USB to transfer files?
Edit: you can get the stock kernel the same way but if you flashed a custom kernel, not recommended because the modules get modified. You'd need a system image for that. I don't know if Flashify is up that task out not.
Did you try Samsung KIES? You may run into the same USB issues but worth a try if you haven't.

So I would just pull the recovery.img file?

I'll try, but I'm guessing not, but I can always pull the SD card.

I am using the Lollipop rom I got as an update from Samsung. Only thing I did was CF-Root it, and Flashify TWRP and install a few apps like Titanium Backup and the like. And however the standard method is to install Superuser, can't remember if I installed it via Flashify, Odin, or just sideloaded it as an app at this point. But I was not as flash-crazy with this phone as I have been with some in the past. So I would assume I have a stock kernel still.

I could use that to restore to stock? I will look into it.
Right now I have to deal with the issue that my battery is almost totally out because of my inability to charge via USB. I decided to deal with that by picking up the Battery charging station and backup battery from Best Buy on the way home (a useful thing to have anyway), but I am still planning on bringing this phone into Sprint and getting it fixed if I can. I've only had it for since the fall and I am paying a service contract.
Thanks again for your help
Yes, extract the file from stock tar to get the recovery and use Flashify to install the image.
Have you tried a factory reset? Do you have a lollipop nandroid to restore? I may have asked that already? If it's on the external sdcard, factory reset a few times and wipe internal storage and system a few times before restoring nandroid.
You can unroot within the SuperSU application if you take it back to Sprint.
Best wishes for a fix it replacement.

Do you mean in TWRP? Or in Backup and reset under settings? Not yet, but I can do it later.

I did not do a nandroid backup right after I installed TWRP if that's what you mean. I just did one but that would be useless to restore Iwould think.

Oh, great, I see that option. So that I would do after I've flashified the stock recovery, right?

Just want to make sure I have the right order for this stuff.
If I factory reset, will I still be able to run flashify on the recovery and superuser to unroot?
Or do I do the factory reset afterwards?
Once again, thanks very much for your help, I really appreciate it.

Factory reset should be a priority and it shouldn't unroot you. I don't think there's any difference between settings or TWRP factory reset.

Correct; Flashify needs root access.

Yes. Personally I'd do this first. You could use titanium backup to backup apps because factory reset wipes the user apps and data. It's possible that your USB/charging problems are in this partition. Equally possible that it's in root partition or another partition which is where the nandroid or stock tar would be helpful since USB is dysfunctional.

Okay, right, thanks again. I will run another Titanium Backup before I do all this. Then I will flashify the recovery, then unroot with superuser, then do the factory reset in the settings (since I will not have TWRP anymore). I think that's the correct order. Then I can see after this if there is any change in the USB connection, and if not return to the Sprint store and keep my fingers crossed!

An additional question. I have downloaded the BOB7V3Final.zip file. I extracted it,
but I do not see a file named recovery.img. The only files named recovery are install-recovery.sh files,
several of them, and recovery-from-boot.p, and recovery.resource.dat EDIT: I believe that was the wrong file.
I am downloading a stock firmware from another site, and it does contain the recovery.img file.
Did This Work
Hopefully, someone will see this. I am having damn near the same exact issue, my phone has not been charging since a couple days after root. Unfortunately, I do not have a back-up of the stock OS. Seeking help to avoid being phoneless.
Hello everyone,
After a long fight to try and get this phone back to normal, everything seemed good,
except not really
I started on a buggy CM11 version. Sick of it, I downloaded a 4.4.4 stock rom. I had to disable firewall and defender, but I got Odin to flash my md5. I got through everything and it booted successfully. After signing in and all that jazz, I find out that my WiFi isn't working. After a few reboots, My 4G finally works and everything seems to be steady.
Then, after exploring the rest of the phone I find out that all my apps from last ROM are still there. I know that you are supposed to wipe before flashing, but I was told that Odin will take care of that. It obviously didn't.
After THAT, I try to boot into Recovery as the next sensible step is to try to wipe my data and cache. I turn the phone off and press (Vol up + Home + Pwr) and the first boot screen shows for a moment. It says in blue "RECOVERY BOOTING" in the corner. Right after, it disappears and in another second it does the same screen without the "RECOVERY BOOTING". And as presumed, it does a regular boot.
What did I miss? How can I wipe my phone from recovery? How can I fix my problem with Wifi?
Reflash in Odin.
Make sure you have the correct stock rom. If you flash the "md5" you may have flashed the wrong thing. The md5 is not tge firmware, that is just the code that verifies your firmware file is not corrupted.
If your old apps were still there, you flashed the wrong thing. There is no way to flash stock firmware in odin and not wipe the data partition.
You are correct then
Yeah, I flashed a tar.md5 in Odin. It gave me a new ROM but all my apps are there. After all that, I still can't go to recovery. I tried using the terminal and ROM Toolbox to go there, both didn't work. Can I just leave it as it is and find a way to recovery or is the only way to go to bootloader and flash a correct file to get to recovery?
Flash twrp and see if it will reboot into recovery, then factory reset and flash latest firmware with Odin right after. Odin will NOT wipe data. It has to be done manually

It depends on what you ate flashing.
If you are flashing a full stock factory image it will wipe user data. If you are just flashing a system partition it won't.

How do I know whatever I download is deodexed? And I went to a page of ROMs someone gave me and I downloaded the NK2 version, which also gave me a tar.md5. If I want the correct thing to flash, what should I flash?

The first post of any customized stock rom will tell you if its deodexed. If it doesn't say it...its not.
@Essem G:
Any updates for us? I'm following this thread because I have similar problems with my WiFi not working after upgrading from 4.2.2.
Any luck getting TWRP flashed?
Also I believe that the stock firmwares do come as tar.md5's, as in the file: M919UVUFNK2_M919TMBFNK2_M919UVUFNK2_HOME.tar.md5 from ShinySide's stock firmware thread.
As for the WiFi issue, from the hours of reading I've done it looks like this problem occurs when you upgrade your firmware, but it no longer matches the bootloader. Such as bootloader (Baseband) showing MDL, but Build Number showing NH7, NK2, etc. What does your show?
This thread may be of use to you when you get back to a working ROM. Good luck!
@RavenMind1
Everyone has been saying different answers and i've put off fixing my device for a while. I'm just afraid i'll brick it forever and have another nightmare after this current one. So no, there has been no progress. I think i'm gonna try to flash Philz and format my system, then flash a deodexed rom. @g7755725 said that you can flash TWRP, but I usually use Philz. It appears to be that I have lost root access because no root features work and SuperSU won't recognize it. Will everything work or am I setting my self up for disaster?
Edit: Where can I find a deodexed rom? I desperately need one, thanks

If you're trying to go back to complete stock then just Odin NK2 firmware. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile/general/firmwares-official-mdl-mk2-nb4-t2816508 I used the NK2 from here about 2 days ago to go back to stock.
