Custom Rom

My Dad recently bought this device.
Why still no good custom rom for this phone?
Anything problem with root or bootloader or recovery?
Or
Still no developer to build it?

Look at the dev section, the smart guys are working on it but it don't seems to be an easy nut to crack...

They are trying to Port the CM/MIUI Rom.
I really appreciate that.
What about Custom ROM?

CyanogenMod and MIUI ROMs are custom ROMs.
If you're asking for additional custom ROMs, AFAIK no one has yet done so.

I'm asking about Custom Rom which is made out of Official Rom(Arc Rom).
Because unwanted Application removed,app2sd etc....

So root your dad's device and remove the junk
I think noone released such a ROM because we all want to keep the ability to do updates through OTA.

Currently there aren't too many roms available for the epic 4g touch for sprint... I heard of using roms from other devices befoer. Just wanted to know if it's possible with my device, if so what roms are we able to flash from other devices?

that would be a serious mistake....dont do it

So we only got about 4 stock based roms on this device and now this LOS issues! Man is this worth keeping at all? What about roms from galaxy s 2 for att or Europe models or GT I900??? None of these are compatible?

Nope, they all have different radios, etc. Flashing them would seriously hose your phone. And in dev terms our version hasn't been out that long.

The thing you could flash miui and flash a tw kernel before you boot and it will boot but no data wifi etc ..... The kernel loads drivers and when the roms dont match it will fail loading drivers ..... roms from sg2 are close but radios wont work .you will have to change stuff in build prop etc to boot it our it will error... we just need some time and devs will be coming here its much better than that pos evo3d ...my 6 yo uses my evo3d to play angrybirds and other games ....its pretty funny how much i hate that phone

Please help to select a Custom ROM for my needs

Hi all,
my first post is nothing but questions, sorry for that.
I'm using a Vodafone (German) N7105 with stock ROM, rooted and CWM recovery
Android 4.1.2, N7105BUDLL4, 3.0.31-679347
I'm quite happy with this ROM but I'm missing some details. Therefore I'm thinking about a custom ROM.
So far I could find the common roms with all their features but finally I'm not sure which one I should take for my requirements:
- Multi Window with all apps
- Customizable top bar icon colors (LTE, antenna bar, battery etc.)
- Better EQ/sound (if not possible I can stay with Neutron)
- More detailed settings
- If possible, keep Samsung Touchwiz (nothing to complain)
- Keep MHL/HDMI output
- Fast and reliable build, no unstable daily release
- No carrier bloatware if possible
- Full Google sync has to work properly
Is there any specific you can recommend for my needs?

Hey metoo3. From your post it looks like it has to be Samsung based ROM. Check out Omega or for example Android Revolution. I tried them and both are fine. But almost always you will miss some features, just to need decide whats most important for you.

If your using n7105 do not flash anything that is not for n7105 or you will lose ability to make calls. There are only a few custom roms in the n7105 section both deadmans and hashchecks have just about everything you want

Simply who its the best for all day use phone???
I tried some Rom's (Omni, CM11, CM10 not signal (Claro PR), Ressurection, Carbon (Great), and for myself the best 4.4.2 ProBam, But i think go back to stock 4.2.2 with SU...
What do you think????

It's up to your preferences really...
Personally I can't stand the bloated TW, so there's no going back to stock firmware... unless I'm really forced to use dual SIM.

my device is i9080L only one slotand i dont know because that the cmod 10.1 4.2.2 rom not work for me

AOSP ROMs here are for i9082/i9082L only.... If CM doesn't work for you better to stay stock and root and debloat it then ?

prefer kitkat only because ts latest and developers are working so hard for it

Previously I was rooted my galaxy grand & used Cm11 rom. But I really need to use the dual sim therefore I move back to stock firmware. But really I was satisfied with custom rom expect dual sim.
If developer add the dual sim functionality in Cm11 then I will definitely come back to custom rom.

[Q] Where/Is there 4.4.2 stock rooted debloated etc? 210R

I'm new to the tab3 (210r) and checked out the roms and all that..
So I rooted got that all done but want to debloat, figured it would be easiest if someone has already done this and uploaded a rom.
The rom section is a mess. Anyone know the goto roms for this thing?
I'm cool with touchwiz or cm/aosp as long as its KK w/IR blaster still working.
Or whatever your favorite roms are, idk, seems most are outdated.

No currently there isn't anyone on KitKat base.. Just tell me your Region(for the Rom) and I will debloat, root etc it for you! Waiting for your reply!

What are you talking about??? There are 4 roms using a KK base that I know of. NoleKat, TranchidaKat, Dragon and Hassan Rom. All of which are stock based, rooted, and debloated to different levels and all will work on his T210R.
I recommend Nolekat (of course) and IR does work with it. The only reason I used the Italy firmware as a base is because it has more languages built in.
