I was just using my phone before my exams and my SD card worked just fine. Now that I'm done, my phone randomly came up with an error saying the SD card was removed when in fact it wasn't. I tried taking it out. Powering off the phone and reinserting but to no avail. I'm on danvdh 4.4.3 gpe rom

Go to Settings | Storage -- make sure the SD card is actually mounted. Try unmount & remount just to be safe. Something similar to this happened to me once when I unplugged my USB cable from the computer without properly "unmounting" the phone from the computer.
Hey I'm using warm 2.2... Been stable for months... Hmmmm haven't used my usb in months too

I'm wondering why it says anything bought the sd card... I've always been able to update apps that are saved to the card...

Try access your SD via USB (mount as disk drive), if fail your SD card may be gone, if succed sd & storage options...

I rooted my gs3 and installed Cm 10.1, after this my phone says my 64gb sd card is damaged and needs to be reformatted? I tried it in my wife's phone that isn't rooted and it works fine. Also, I tried a 32gb card in my phone and it works fine. I don't understand?

i dont think cm supports exfat partitions. back up card using touchwiz and format the card to fat32.

yes on a pc, this should work.

only drawback is you lose support for files larger than 4gb. but its what i did to get mine to work
I reformatted it as fat32, it's not showing as damaged now, but it's also not mounting on my phone.

cool glad you got it working!
So I am rooted and I am on IOKP v1.4 11/14/13. My phone is not reading my SD card and its a 32gb. Was working on my s2 before I put it on this phone. Now its not working. I'm not sure what the problem is but its pissing me off. My apps can't even update because it says "insufficient storage available" my internal is somehow full. Even though I have no music, no photos or anything that takes up a lot of space. I cleared my phone up and still saying I used a lot of space. Any suggestions or what I should do exactly? Thanks in advance.
