Could anyone that owns any TomTom apps, confirm that it works on the Tab Pro range of tablets.
I'm using the 8.4" and if I install either UK/Ireland or Europe, all I see are blank/black maps, the rest of the UI is displayed correctly.
I've installed App Settings for Xposed and adjusted the DPI and screen res, but it still doesn't work properly.
The apps and maps work OK on my phone.
I know that Sygic works fine.
Thank you.

Happened to me on tab pro 12.2, on Google maps until I changed the 4X MSAA settings in developer options. Then it worked
Even after I turned it back off. Maybe it was luck or a coincidence, but it worked. I thought the graphics chip was bad or
something serious, because I had never seen this happen on any of my devices. Very weird.
I tried it but no luck, also it seems that it isn't using any 3d graphics, OpenGL3 isn't on the license list either.
Oh bummer, it was a long shot. I wondered if changing that setting really had an effect on it. I did restart the tab after changing
That setting, but I'm not sure if it had anything to do with it. Good luck!

This works on most apps that don't scale to fit the entire screen, minus a few gameloft games.
This fixed for me Engadget, speed test and some other apps that just filled a small part of the screen.
The process is completely safe and reversible. no root required:
It seems that the stock firmware comes with "Compatibility mode" enabled by default and this is preventing from some apps to scale.
To fix this download space parts from the market.
- Open spare parts.
- Scroll all the way to "compatibility mode". it is unchecked, check it. if there is already a check mark there, uncheck and check it.
- reboot phone
- open spare parts again
- Scroll all the way to "compatibility mode". uncheck it.
- reboot phone
- done.
now apps like engadget will scale to fill the entire screen.
NOTE: it seems that in the latest version on some firmware version this options is disabled by default so most apps *should* scale.
If apps like engadget already scale for you - you do not need to do this.
Nice!! Thanks for your tip

Youre a charmer mate, thank you.

Some Gameloft titles scale better than others.
NOVA scales well.
UNO not so much.
Asphalt 5, some say it scales well. for me it is not. maybe u used an older version.
This is great, but it makes one of my fav launchers go weird... I love UltimateFaves pro... using this trick suddenly makes the carousels tiny I use the carosel to put call and sms favs.... great way for me to send out sms fast to the few I always msg...
http://goo.gl/tBbLs
I would definetely use this trick as it seems to only help some apps scale right (most in my case). Does anyone know how to NOT let it try scale/affect certain apps like this one?
This Program is work with any not fix resolution programs but not work with fix resolution prgrams.
some fix resolutio progams will be not open or smaller displays than original display and problem with sensor for game too. I try to play hungry Shark is full screen but sensor is slowly than original display
For phones?

I take it Google Reader isn't optimized for the 7" tablet size yet?
I have been using it for over a month and it works great.
Same here. I don't use it much, but when I do it works fine for me. What is it doing/not doing?
ummmmm............ could you repeat that?
Well, the tablet version has the topics on the left and articles in the middle when in landscape. mine looks just like the phone version.
Sent from my GT-P6210 using Tapatalk
Yes. You are correct it is not optimized for the 7" tablets yet. However, if you change the density of the screen to that of a 10" tablet, it works as expected (not like the phone version, but like the tablet version should). I switched to gReader Pro because i dont want to change the density of my screen permanently just for google Reader.
Recently Google has optimized it, on mu A100 is perfect but I prefere ChannelsPro for my feed
ok guys, so I just bought a tab 3 10.1 (p5200) a couple of days ago, and I´m really happy with it, but I installed angry birds go on it and it looks horrible, the antialiasing is completly off, so it looks pixelated, I also have installed it on my Note 3 and I don´t have that problem on this device.
So please if someone knows how to fix this, please help me....THANKS!!:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

I had the same problem. But I have the 7'' model. My tab is rooted. So I could change the name of the device. I do not remember which, but I have select a name of a high-end device. After that game deleted. After reinstalling the graphics was much better, but a little (very little) laggy.

I also have the 10" tab but after rooting and installing a custom rom, play store insisted the version available was not for tablets. Managed to acquire an apk on the Internet which installed just fine and works Ok.
Has anyone managed to get the new TomTom Go Mobile "freemium" app to work with the Tab Pro 8.4?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tomtom.gplay.navapp&hl=en
It's free to try and lets you use 50 miles per month, with traffic/speed cams etc.
It crashes on me, after I've downloaded my country's map data and asks for my location.
I'm using CM 11 at the moment, but I doubt that makes any difference.
Just wondering if it works for anyone else?
Thanks

Thank you all for the feedback, outstanding as per usual.
Well, I've found out the answer to the question.
The answer is .... this thread can be closed now.
Don't get mad man
There are few of us with a Tab Pro 8.4. Maybe most of us are on stock or CM12. I assume there are very few guys still on CM11. How many of them are using TomTom?
I am glad you solved it :good:
I was told that the gear S2 is not compatible with the Tab S2, has anyone tested it, and can confirm this is true.
Update.
I have tested this and can confirm it does not work, not sure of the reason behind it.
That's odd... my gear live works just fine with it... I'm curious though why you would want it synced to your tablet and not your phone though?
I have Galaxy Tab S2 LTE and it's not compatible. Main issue is the Gear Manager app cannot load.

I have the international Galaxy Tab S2 (SM-T815) with voice capability, and it really irritates me that the Gear S2 is incompatible with it. It would be nice to use the watch and tablet together, instead of needing a phone simply to install Gear Manager. I suppose you can sideload the Gear Manager apk on the tablet, but it's inconvenient.

Side upload is not possible, it won't detect the watch, I have tried it at the samsung shop.
I had a S4 mini at that time with android 4.2 which you need 4.3 and above to work, thats why I tried to pair it with the tablet (Tab S2 SM-T715), now I have a V10 which should work, just waiting for the rose gold version of the classic, since the 3G version isn't available in my country.
Hello I have a Verizon tab s2 I sure no root at all. I have the gear s2 would love to get gear app to work. I can't edit buildprop.. maybe someone working on the gear app it self to help with this or am I out of luck......thanks
Yep Gear Manager - typical Samsung stupidity.
Now it's possible with samsung flow

Just need to change the device fingerprint, it should be fine.
MagiskHide Props Config v4.0.2 <-- Use that, switch your device to something that is compatible, install the required app. You may have to wipe cache / data to the play store, first.
