Is there a setting or app that makes the phone stick on one tower without looking for another? Then a widget or so to tap that makes it look for a stronger one?

Hi pplz.
I've recently noticed a small blemish or square on the horizontal line on the back of M8 on the left hand side. I thought it was a small production fault, but I've seen the same thing on the phone in some reviews. This is my first HTC phone so dont know if this a HTC trait? Or an actual fault. The reviews with the same thing were seen on mkb and pocketnow.
Would be interested to know if you guys have same thing.

Just replace /system/media/audio/ui/effect_tick.ogg with something you like more.
Note that you'll need root.
I love that sound myself! This is the only phone I keep the touch sound on for.
Does anyone know of a good rom with HD voice built in or how I can get this back on my M8..?
I have HD voice sometimes and I'm stock and unrooted it kind of seems like it's a sometimes thing.

The other phone has to be HD voice enabled too, hence why it only works sometimes.

Just got the M8 on Friday but how do you tell if your call is in HD?
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
it says "HD voice" on the top of the call, near the person you are calling name..
you both have to have hd voice compatible phones and networks for you to see it; I dont think I have EVER seen it on my Tmobile htc m8; I saw it all the time on my tmobile lg flex though..
Still working on my 4.4.3 m8

Very few device makes it this far, It's been almost a 4yr or more and yet counting. Best advice, DON'T SELL IT.
