(Mod) Enable Dolby Digital and other presets on external speaker. - LG Optimus G Pro

Pretty simple xml edit for stock Music player 4.4.2
This will allow you to use custom presets/ EQ when the headphones are not connected. Works quite well.
Using a file manager of your choice (ES gave me errors)
I used rom toolbox and rb text editor.
Navigate to system/etc/com.lge.music.xml
Open com.lge.music.xml with your text editor.
Scroll down to:
<!-- Support Audio Effect through Speaker.
Default value is false-->
<eq_through_speaker data="false" />
Change to:
<!-- Support Audio Effect through Speaker.
Default value is true-->
<eq_through_speaker data="true" />
Save the file and reboot.
On a side note, in the same xml file. You can also enable playback and pitch control from within the eq settings. I tried and it added the correct tab to the eq. However, when changing the settings, playback became very choppy.

You are awesome!

Sliding Keyboard sound volume

Is there a reg edit that lets you change the volume of the sliding keyboard sound independent of the system volume?
dont think so, as there is nothing in the registry for sliding sound that relates to volume.
BUT what you could do is get a sound editor, copy over the sliding sound you want to use to your pc, cut down the actual volume of the .wav and then send it back to your device and use that as your sliding sound.
Sliding Keyboard Sound
Does anyone know where the sliding keyboard sound file is located? Is it a wav or wma file?
0_in.xwav
0_out.xwav
1_in.xwav
1_out.xwav
2_in.xwav
2_out.xwav
3_in.xwav
3_out.xwav
4_in.xwav
4_out.xwav
If sound editor don't support xwav: rename xwav to wav

Camera rustle sound

When I start the camera can hear the quiet rustle. It does not help:
-mute all options on the phone
-upload other applications to capture images
-delete ogg files from the system/media/
-change in the system configuration files like default.prop
Google have no more ideas.
I just installed android 2.2(155), if there is any answer please answear
I think it's the sound of the lens opening.. not sure if you can do anything about that.
I'm sure, because the modified roms have changed this sound. I need this for movement recording applications. It's a question of whether the cooks will share information which is the file?

CSC edits

Hey just wanted to share a few of my preferences for the CSC file on TW Jb roms.I use root explorer for this. This file is under System/CSC/feature.xml, open the feature.xml file under the text editor function. The two values that will be used is true or false.Under camera shutter sound menu I make that true.This will give you a new option in camera to turn shutter sound on and off.I also go down to launcher and make tilt effect true.This will make the TW launcher have a new scroll effect.There are so many things you can change but these two are my fav.
Forgot to add after you make a change reboot for all applied to take effect.

[Q] Shutter camera OFF Tab S 8.4

How can turn off the sound of taking a picture? remove shutter file from the directory system/media/audio/UI and change of name does not work. the sound is still there.
edit
Have found the perfect solution. With this operation, the camera's menu appears an additional option on / off shutter
Root access required of course, and I used Root Explorer to do the following:
In Root Explorer, navigate to the following location:
/system/csc and look for a file called 'others.xml'.
Long-press on this file and select 'Open With', and then select 'Text Editor'.
Scroll all of the way to the end and look for the following:
</FeatureSet>
</SamsungMobileFeauture>
Insert the following line just before the </FeatureSet> code.
Code:
Select Code
<CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>true</CscFeature_Camera_ShutterSoundMenu>
Then pressing the 'Back' button will automatically save the file and back-up the original in the folder.
Restart your phone.
Now when you go into the camera, tap on the settings, so you get camera settings, video settings, and the general settings in a pop-up, press the settings icon/tab and scroll down and you can now select to toggle the sound on/off (second-last option).

Click to collapse
Well I just went into settings and selected mute. I think that was the simplest option.
Then you have to mute all sounds. This modification allows you to regulate only the shutter sound.

In the same directory is the file "customer.xml". Look for the line
<Multimedia>
<Camera>
<ShutterSound>on</ShutterSound>
</Camera>
</Multimedia>
Simply set the sound to "off" and you're done.

MP3 Editor to adjust volume on file

I'm looking for an editor that can adjust volume on an mp3 file. I have a notification sound that's louder than the rest of my sounds and I'd like to bring the volume down on that file.
Do you have any suggestions? Thank you!
