Why my phone can't connect to playstore? it show "No Connection" and button 'Retry" huhuhu....
try to delete google account then reboot.then again sign to your google account then reboot again but not necessary.now see if you can connect to playstore
Open your root explorer program > open etc folder > open hosts with text editor then remove any (#) before the address you see... [For example {#127.0.0.1 localhost}... Will be {127.0.0.1 localhost}]
Save it try the play store

hi everyone
i have (flv,mp4,...) in my email how can i open them
i have realplayer but when i try to open flv i got a messege (the content is not supported on this phone)
so is there any programe which can open these formulas?
You mean you can't download them? You could zip them then upload them again.
If you don't wanna do that, you could install a different browser from the market - Opera, Skyfire, etc.
A third option is to install Astro File Manager and tick the "Enable Browser Download" option in preferences.
thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks
This version includes features such as Facebook chat, allows you to tag friends in statuses, and home screen in landscape.

Requirements:
Uninstaller for Root(Found in Market)
Root Explorer(Found in Market) or a Alternate File Explore App
Facebook 1.6.3 (Found here: www.apktop.com/facebook-for-android-1-6-3.html )
Open Uninstaller for Root, scroll down to the Facebook App and then click backup App, after click Uninstall
Next open Root Explore and navigate to /sdcard, once in /sdcard navigate to download folder will you will find and copy the file: com.facebook.katana.apk
Once copied you will need to paste apk file in /system/app (may need to toggle MOUNT R/O), after apk has been pasted, click on apk to install and you are all finished
facebook should be installable as a normal application. while the root related instructions are necessary for removal, i would just suggest tapping on the new facebook apk in the file manager to install ( w unknown sources enabled in settings/apps).
your facebook will be updatable via market after install that way, w out need for system app removal in the future.

Thanks,I just did it your way but the only thing i don't understand is how is it updatable if it doesn't appear in "My Apps" in the market?
mmm, manually installed apps might not show up in the old patched market, but i think they do in the new market (havent patched or ported that for a7 yet). i know i see manually added apps on my x10.
if you were to look up the facebook app in market, you may see it listed as updatable still, tho it may not show in your downloaded apps.
if youre not seeing facebook or the other apps youre posting in market at all (search), then youre not using my patched market.

Use root explorer or titanium backup to delete old gmail.
View attachment AndroidPolice_Gmail2.apk
Install like regular apk, then reboot.

How do you do it with titanium?
Nevermind. I got it. Thank you.
Batch Backup/Restore > scroll down to UN-INSTALL > Press RUN - uninstall all user & system Apps > Carefully DESELECT ALL > scroll down to gmail (system app so its going to be red color) > check ONLY that > run.
This will delete the gmail and then you can install 4.2 gmail.
I uninstalled the old one and it tells me I don't have enough space to install the new app. I have 4gb free. Any idea?
Never mind I figured it out.

I installed Simplemind Pro and have Dropbox installed on my rooted Galaxy S3 Android 4.4.2 phone.
I'd like to set up Simplemind to save and read files to Dropbox which it is supposed to do.
Below are your instructions on how to do this along with what happened when I followed them:
How to connect SimpleMind for Android to Dropbox
Make sure the Dropbox app for Android is installed. YES
Open SimpleMind and tap the Mind Maps button YES
Top left in this window's toolbar you'll see navigation tabs as depicted on the right. Initially this will usually be "Local". Tap that to see supported clouds and select Dropbox. YES
If Dropbox is not visible in this list, use "Cloud Setup" to enable Dropbox support. VISIBLE
Selecting Dropbox from the navigation Tabs, opens the build-in Dropbox Explorer. AN EXPLORER DOESN'T OPEN. THERE IS A TEXT BOX THAT SAYS "CONNECT TO DROPBOX". WHEN I SELECT THIS I GET THIS ERROR MESSAGE: "CANNOT SETUP DROPBOX: UNABLE TO ACCESS PUBLIC STORAGE".
In this Explorer authenticate with Dropbox using the "Connect to Dropbox" command. This prompts you for confirmation to let SimpleMind access your Dropbox folder. I NEVER GOT ANY SORT OF PROMPT TO LOGIN AND CONNECT.
I've been told that this is because Simplemind is not finding a public folder. I don't know if I have one, where it would be, how to set it up, etc.
Any ideas?
I feel dumb, it doesn't know what to use to install an apk... I've never had this issue before.
Try settings - storage - explore - downloads
And select your downloaded apk. If that doesn't work, download file explorer and select it from inside there. Idk why it sees it as an apk this way and not when you select open or from the notification.
I've never had to do that before... Maybe this is the first phone I've had longer than a day without flashing...
I downloaded a ton of APKs last night. When i found the apks in the file folder and ready to install. O was prompted to choose package installer or a different program

You should be able to just install the APK directly from your phone as long as you have unknown sources enabled. You can also install it using adb by using the following command: adb install filename.apk
Wasn't that easy. It doesn't know how to install it if you open the file from notifications or the downloads app.

I had the same problem at first, but I downloaded androzip and installed my .apks just fine. I only have two apps I side load old beta of fb and the chat enabler antaresone wrote to keep messenger in the native app.
Yeah to get it to install XDA labs I had to delete data for Package Installer under apps.
