EBay app using 15gb?! - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was just checking my data coverage this month and noticed that my eBay app has used over 15gb of data as well as a few other apps on there that seem quote high in usage. I rarely use them and notice they only use so much on wifi...
What's causing this and how can I keep tabs on it?

I checked my data usage with ebay and found some 200 kb. So there is something wrong. Maybe you have loaded too many big pictures. Delete the app and reinstall directly from play store.

the other apps are pretty heavy in data usage as well which is confusing me as well. 700mb for kernel tweaker?!

2.5GB on urban dictionary? You can load the UD website 2,500 times for that,,,

delete it or if it doesnt stop, factory reset the phone, seem like you caught some kind of malware?

Very cool. Thanks!
Installed, went to set up profile, program force-closes every time I click "edit name." As much as I like Grindr, I think I'm going to uninstall this.
[before anyone asks, I did fix permissions and restart the phone.]
J~
is this what i think it is?
If it doesn't force close, it just says there's an error.
Ahaha, just what I needed. Not! Lol I should prob Google a app first before blindly downloading

Yes it is, there a problem sir? :]
I've been running this for a couple of weeks. I have the same bug in that I can't edit any of the free text to add a name, headline etc. Chat and pics seem to work ok though. I have a funny feeling that grindr are trying to censor information about this alpha as nothing seems to show up about it on twitter etc.
Does anyone know - or can anyone find out where the settings are stored for profile - are they on the phone or on the grindr server? If on the phone perhaps a config file could be hacked.
When it doesn't force close, I can't get it to even sign on to their network. I'll have to stick with scruff for now
I have a feeling settings are stored on their server, since they were working on letting you use the same profile on multiple devices.

Google Service could be one of many things. That app narrow it down. If not you could just clear data for Google Service and it will stop it for a while but will eventually make its way back or not.
Usually unchecking WiFI and Mobile network in Location Service will help the most.

Thanks I will try that
I also experience the same thing if I leave the location services on... I usually get 4-6 hours of extra battery if I turn it off....
You can stop Google Service wakelocks dead in their tracks. But you have to give up some functionality to make it work.
Only you can decide if this is a viable solution for you.

What is your experience with H93210d Update

I used LG bridge to update to 10d and the file was 3gb! Pretty big for just a security patch! Anyhow, ive noticed my ram management and wifi and 4G signal got worse! I'll go from 1.6gb of ram available to like 700-800ish within minutes! And thats my normal use to were before it would always stay above 1gb even with heavy use! And my wifi/4g data connections are like using H+[emoji19]! Downloads, connection etc. takes longer than normal! Even sending sms/mms take longer to go through! Other than those few things, everything else seems normal!
So tell me if you've noticed anything different! Good or bad!
Attached is my ram after clearing everything and just writing this post!

Question RAM plus from latest update

For those who took the update, do they see and extra 4Gb? If so, can anyone manually adjust that value?
Yes we finally got the virtual ram and no you can't adjust the ram

Yeah, it only uses it when needed. If you get close to needing that 4GB for storage, I am sure Storage will trump using it for memory.

I had a 512 Note 10+, I've got a 512 ZF3, I only ever filled the Note with about 100gb. Please take my 4gb storage for your page file
