Got the OTA update yesterday, on totally stock E980 phone. Everything seems to be working, including MMS and Exchange mail.
New KK lockscreen....can I change the style of the clock? I used to have the clock along with weather. Cannot find any way to change clocks.
If I swipe along the top of the lockscreen (only to the right), I get additional screens, which I've put a few widgets on. Can I make one of them the default lockscreen? I'd prefer to have the weather app on the lockscreen (which also has a clock showing). Can't figure out a way.
At the bottom of the "swiped" lockscreens there is a large arrow. If I click on this, my battery status and "owner info" pops up. Is this arrow usable for something else? What if I wanted the owner info, or appointments, battery status, etc...to always be in the popped-up position?
Also, can multiple lockscreen widgets be placed on the same page? For example, I'd like to place the calendar (agenda) widget on the same page as the weather widget.
Can any of this be done?
Oh and BTW, I did notice that when asking "OK Google" to play any of the music I have stored on Google Play, it finds and starts it now 100% of the time.

My google calendar widget on my home screen only shows events which are within the next two weeks ago. Is anyone aware of a setting which I can toggle to show more dates on the widget? Are there any types of work around if there isn't?
I was also wondering if there is any type of lockscreen widget that I could see upcoming events when my phone is locked?
AOKP has lockscreen events, and WidgetLocker can show widgets on the lockscreen. Not sure if you can show extra events though.
I recently discovered how to make an invisible widget that has been incredibly useful in customizing my screens. For instance, my weather app is Snowstorm because I like how the widget looks. But, I like Weatherbug for functionality, weather radar, etc. So, I've got the snowstorm widget on my screen with an invisible widget overlayed and set to front so when i click on it, it sends me to Weatherbug.
This is done my creating an icon using Simple Text. The text in the icon is just a couple of spacebar taps. It saves to your gallery. Then I used Desktop VisualizeR to create a widget that is assigned to the Weatherbug app. Assign the invisible icon you created to the widget and you are ready to go. Very useful to have a visual of one app and the functionality of another. You can even create it so you just tap on a blank portion of your screen to activate whatever app or function you want. It's fun!
Good luck. :good:
Having flagrantly stolen (been inspired by?) this Hubs UI, I'm now extremely close to having my Nexus 7 look and work exactly the way I want it. I'm using a combination of ADW, Minimalistic Text, Simple Text, and MultiPicture Live Wallpaper.
However, I find myself confounded by one small piece:
The icons along the center bar are tied to custom App Groups. My problem is that clicking on them causes the app group to open directly over the center bar. I'd like it to open above the center bar.
Any ideas? Thanks!!!
There's a roundabout way to do what you want. With an app called Popup Widget, you can created a shortcut that, when clicked, makes a widget appear. You can control where it appears; one choice is above the shortcut, which is what you want. Now you need to make a widget with icons for each of the apps in your group. I do this with Elixir Widget, but I'm sure there are other programs that will work.
So: there's a shortcut on the black bar, when you click it a widget appears above the bar, and the widget shows the apps in your group. Of course, this all assumes you can put shortcuts in the black bar.
About the settings of widgets.
I use Calengoo calendar and this has a widget, on the widget settings you can alter the transparency.
You can change these settings when adding the widget to a screen but on my previous htc one I could alter them after the widget was put on a screen.
Long pressing the widget gave me the opportunity to delete or edit it.
On the xperia z1c I can only see the garbage can when long pressing the widget, I do not have the opportunity to change the widget.
Is this normal or is there a possibility to edit the widget after installation?
This is my first experience with HTC and Sense. I use a separate weather app, so it's redundant to have that info displayed alongside the weather clock on the lock screen. It appears that the weather clock is a fixed setting, though. Any way that this can be removed or swapped out with just a standard clock? Thanks.
