[HELP] How to update CWM 6.0.3.7 ? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

Hi,
I don't want to brick the phone and I need your knowledge, thanks !!!
I am on CWM 6.0.31 with cyanogenmod 10.1.0-rc5-hercules, now I would like to upgrade to cm-10.2.0-hercules. One of the early step is that I need to have CMW 6037, but I forgot how to do it.
I would like to know if I can flash the recovery-hercules-6037 zip directly under CWM 6031 or how should i do it, thx !!!!!!

Updated:
I used ROM Manager to update to CWM 6.0.4.3. Can I install cm-10.2.0-hercules now?

Cannot flash CWM 5.0.2.0 with rom manager in miui

Hello everyone,
i used to have rom manager and cwm 2.5.0.7 working fine under MIUI.Then i decided to replace the cwm files with the 4ext recovery. All went ok and i was able to fakeflash with rom manager and boot into 4ext until one i day i decided to fakeflash via rom manager the newest cwm 5.0.2.0 Although it says flashing complete when i try to reboot into recovery it gets me to the old 2.5.0.7
Any ideas?
Are you s-off? If yes, flash recovery via fastboot.
No, i m not
Actually i dont want to replace my permanent recovery.Just to be able to use the fakeflash version in rom manager!
Follow these instructions:
go to settings > applications > manage applications > ROM Manager > #uninstall#
End of all your problems. ROM Manager is a third party app that just causes problems, it is a lot safer to just boot into recovery manually (power off, hold volume down & power, use volume keys to navigate RECOVERY, press power to boot into recovery)
If you want to fakeflash through recovery, all you need is the recovery.zip, and fakeflash it like you'd flash a ROM.

I agree with the other: dont use rom manager
anyway, u can't flash it beacuase the last version of rom manager do not use fakeflash anymore, it's need s-off now
so, u must s-off, then better if u flash it with fastboot, and use the recvoery manually
Thanks for the replies people
Nothing wrong with 2.5.0.7, it does the job. Remember to press the 'Thanks' button rather than just saying "thanks".
Offcourse its nothing wrong. But i used a fake flash version of 4ext recovery via rom manager thats why i started this thread.Because i m no longer able to fakeflash another recovery via rom manager.I know it can be done via permanent recovery.

as i said, latest rom manager does not support fakeflash anymore!
I had the same problem, then I go s-off and was able to flash recovery also via RomManager...
I believe ROM manager doesn't support fake flash on the desire as this was breaking many desires that had true flash versions of recovery.
It got so bad at Android forums, we had to create a thread warning people.
http://androidforums.com/desire-all-things-root/356192-warning-do-not-use-rom-manager.html
Anyway for me 2.5.0.7 is still my favourite recovery.
Don't really understand the need for ROM manager anymore. It made lots of sense before Unrevoked came along. Now it seems to me just helping the lazy get lazier (but of course this is just my opinion)

[Q] CWM Recovery Upgrade-Downgrade

hi all,
i can flash many ROM's and i can root , i am not a noob anymore XD.
But the last time i flashed a recovery was 5 months ago... so i want to upgrade to some newer versions:
My CURRENT CWM = 5.0.2.6
I want to flash CWM 5.0.2.7 OR CWM 6.1.0.2 .
Now my question's are:
-When i upgrade, will i still be able to restore my backups made with 5.0.2.6 ?
-When the installation fails and i can't get into CWM. How do i need to flash my old one or another recovery ? ( i think odin ??? but how ? )
Thank you , for the one that answers

Can't install ClockworkMod recovery on my LG Optimus G E973 (Telus Canada)

Hi,
I'm really new into the Android world and don't really know everything yet, so please understand if I say stupid things
So, I just root my phone and now, I would like to install ClockworkMod recovery. I installed ROM Manager from the Play Store but when I want to install the recovery it says " Sorry! Until ClockworkMod recovery is availble, ROM Manager will not work with LG-E973!"
Is there another way to install this recovery please?
Thank you!

(SOLVED) E: Can't Mount ...

Hi everyone ,
I have a Galaxy SGH-I747M and I rooted my phone using Odin3. SuperSU and Busybox are installed.
I installed Twrp and I have a problem, i couldn't mount Data, cache or anything. So I installed CWM and .... same problem
Do you know what's the problem and how to fix it ???
PS: I have no external SD card.
PS 2 : Sorry for my bad english
PS 3 : Except that, the phone is working well !!
Jiglii
Did you install TWRP and CWM for the d2lte?
No, I install the D2att version.
But I fixed it, I downloaded the last version of CMW for the D2att on the official website (Recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.4.7-d2att.img) and I used a batch script (made by mkh.mourad) to convert the *.img to *.tar.MD5 to install it with Odin3, and it worked :good:  :victory:
Thx and I hope it will help someone else who have the same problem
An easier way to install CWM is to install the latest tar.md5 version of Philz Touch for the d2lte which is based on CWM.
