[Q] ics not booting on xperia arc

hi i i tried flash ics 4.1 with flashtool but stuck on 4% and i chanceled the progress and now when im booting my phone it restarts i tried to update via SEUS and pc companion but didnt worked what i can fix it and get back my previous built?(sorry for bad english)

ICS 4.1??? lol..it must be 4.0.4..
anyways try to flash the firmware again...

Tour say it's stuck at 4%, did you get an error at 4% or did flashtool just stopped to work?

at start it says WARN-this file is ignored :simlock.ta
and when it was reaching on 4% its just stayes on 4% im trining now to re-flash the firmware and it stucks now at 8%

how much time it takes to flash a firmware?

Hmm about 5-10 min I think.

im tryning about half hour and more but it always stucks on 4%(more usualy) and rarerly on 8-9%

Are you using the latest version of flashtool?

Download a stock rom from the general selection and the latest flashtool from their site.
(make sure that nothing else that uses adb runns, like seus, fastboot etc.)
Try again.

i downloaded latest version of flashtools (0.8.5.0)i downloaded lt15a 4.04 generic but again when i flash it stucks at 4%...how i can know if any programm using adb is runing?im noob ....and if u can link me a custom rom

I am getting the same simlock.ta warning, on my So-02c Xperia from docomo, I have an unlocked bootloader. What did you do to fix the problem?

i was tryning again and again to flash the firmware until one time it was going until 9% and after a while it continius normally to 100%
i used flash tool 0.8.5.0 and this rom https://hotfile.com/dl/159109759/b6f37a0/LT15a_4.04_Generic.rar.html
i hope it works for u too

i installed the version for my arc s and when i reboot it SONY logo appears and still remain there...
my phone do not boot further..

i have a rooted xperia s with stock rom, i have never installed any custom rom.....recently i tried using font installer root.....after selecting a font my phone restarted and is now caught up in bootloop....please help

Just flash a stock ftf with flash tool. First, do a hard reset by pressing and holding the volume button and power button till it vibrates 3 times. Then prepare the ftf for flashing with flashtool and connect your phone in flash mode and allow the it to flash. Power your device on and enjoy.

Flashing a ftf with Flashtool does not void your warranty and it works with unlocked and locked bootloader. Sony update service and PC companion work only for locked bootloader. If you have unlocked your bootloader, you can use EMMA - Sony's Flashtool.

i used sony update service as my bootlocker was still locked and successfully unbricked my SXS.......thanks a million for ur quick responses.

Try flash ftf file via flash tool or Sony software.
Your explanation is very confusing. Please give detail on what have you did i.e. what version of OS you have before flashing existenz rom, do your boot loader locked or unlocked? etc...

Your mistake is probably flashing the cyanogen kernel.

Try flashing the ftf file again or maybe you can try fix it using PC companion or SEUS (google this).

Do not install ROM eXistenZ for xperia ZL
Ok..first try locked your bootloader...
SEUS will not restore your phone if you Unlocked bootloader....
And if restoring the phone can't solve your problem, it was because you have experiencing a faulty battery...
You need to send to Sony service center for repair...
If you have warranty, first locked your bootloader then restore your phone with SEUS...

After you chose to flash the ftf, you will see wipe section, just tick all.

Did you follow all the steps carefully? Do you have all necessary drivers installed?
Emma should work, zl is a supported device. Did you unlock your bootloader for sure?

Just curius, eXistenZ actually works with locked bootloaders too?! At least thread says so. I also wanna use eXistenZ so just making sure.

Sony Xperia Tipo Dual is bricked, help to unlock

My Sony Xperia Tipo Dual is bricked, only sony logo is appearing in the display. When i try to flash, green led appears and device is not detected on computer. Please helppppp

Have you unlocked the bootloader?
Try to flash stock firmware through Flashtool.

Dont be panic...if u have unlocked bootloader, then lock it first....
After that flash the stock ftf by using flashtool or repair by using sony pc companian...

@dazz1102: Try this:
Download and install Flashtool
Install driver (from C:\Flashtool\drivers) of your device + flashmode drivers + fastboot mode drivers
Download stock ftf of your device from here
Copy the ftf to C:\Flashtool\firmwares
Open Flashtool
Click ϟ
Select Flashmode
Select downloaded firmware
Turn off your phone (no problem in your case )
When prompted connect the phone in Flashmode (USB + Vol down = green led)
Wait
When it have finished, disconnect your phone
Start your phone and :fingers-crossed:
N.B.: I don't know if this metod work on locked bootloader.

my xperia arc s LT18i has a bootloop issue, which is on gingerbread rom, not rooted
after power on it shows sony logo for some time then shows xperia logo and then again sony logo and xperia logo and so on...
pc companion also not helped, SUS is now not working

put phone in flash mode , connect to pc & use flashtool to flash the fw.
