You cant. HSPA is as fast as you are going to get with the SM-P605 on T-Mobile. This model doesnt support the 1700mhz band which T-mobile LTE runs on.

Refarmed T-Mobile HSPA+ 1900Mhz Works on N7100 But Not on N7105 Any Suggestions??

Hi guys!
Okay, I'm doing a side by side comparison of the N7100 Vs the N7105, and one thing that is apparent to me now is.
#1) I'm in a refarmed area and I put my sim in the N7100 and bam catches HSPA+
#2) When I put the sim in the N7105 Same spot same settings( network only to WCDMA mode) I Get Nothing zip nada can't connect to the network (however AT&T's Network Shows UP), Only when I put it on GSM/WCDMA or LTE/GSM/WCDMA It's always on Edge. Can't get the HSPA+ to work on T-mobile.
So what gives? They both support the same frequency but only the n7100 is getting HSPA+? I know the N7105 has a DC42 HSPA+ modem vs the HSPA+ 21 on the N7100 but the band support is the same and just the N7105 has the LTE bands in there as well.
So why won't the N7105 Get HSPA+ Speeds on the Re farmed 1900 band?? Any suggestions?
I'm interested in this too. Does anyone know if the N7105 will work on tmobile's H+ network?
I just noticed this too

Just came up on a N7105. Is there anyway around the EDGE limitation? Are you all on a stock ROM? I'm curious if changing the firmware for modem or ROM will help get us back up? Or are we stuck because of hardware limitation?
are you using the right modem?

Still no luck?
I found the modems (or a discussion about them) at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2031575
The collection of modems seems to point here http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-N7105
I had NO LUCK finding anything for TMO in USA.
Anyone who came up with a solution for this?

What modem do you suggest? I didn't find one for the US to convert a Telstra N7105 to N7100 (US -- Tmobile).. please assist.
I had the same problem. The thing is that the N7105's 3G radio does not support 1900mhz. Your best bet is selling the N7105 and buying a N7100 like I did.
I have the same problem
I have the same problem.
I wonder if by flashing any other modem or ROM (let's say ATT ROM) I could get my N7105 work 3G on 1900MHz.
The thing is:
N7105T: 3G (850/900/1900/2100)
N7105: 3G (850/900/2100)
I have the N7105 but I'd like to get this note work 3G on 1900MHz. Is there any way to do this. Not sure what really does a different modem on the phone, does it allow the phone to work on different bands? (of course, if the hardware is present in the phone).
Is it possible to do this if I flash a ROM from a carrier which work 3G on 1900MHz (like ATT)? Or it is absolutely impossible to do this because of hardware limitations?
I'd like to add that if I dial and go to *#197328640# -> UMTS -> Debug Screen -> Phone control -> Network control -> Band Selection, I can see this Automatic(*) meaning that the automatic option is chosen but if I get into WCDMA Band Preference I have an option which is WCDMA 1900 but if I click just that option nothing happens. The option is present but I cannot select it, but if choose another one, let's say WCDMA 850 for example, I can select it, but of course my phone lose signal because my carrier does not work WCDMA on 850MHz. I fix this by selecting "Automatic" again just to get EDGE as the best network on this carrier.
I think there has to be a way to activate WCDMA on 1900MHz provided that the option is already there, I think the hardware IS there.
So, what should I do to get 3G 1900MHz on this N7105?
Thanks in advance.
Reinaldo.

Did you ever got 42 hspa+? I get 21.6 max on my n7100 on xxdlk7 modem.
I use Network Signal Pro for monitoring & talking about Net. type parameter, not actual speeds.

[Q] T-Mobile network 2G only

I used my wifes At&t upgrade and after unlocking M8 I am trying out T-Mobiles $30 pre paid plan but I am only getting 2G signal. Is there a way to to enable LTE or do I need to flash a T-Mobile radio? I have verified all APN settings are correct. TIA
Yes you need to flash.
You should be able to get LTE on T-Mobile with an AT&T M8, but you won't get HSPA in the 1700 MHz band.

[Q][MODEM] Band IV LTE to Band IV HSPA

Is it possible to change the settings in the modem of the S4 Mini from Band IV LTE (AWS) to Band IV HSPA+ (AWS)? I would like to enable the device for T-mobile/Wind Mobile use and don't care about dropping the LTE functionality.
I've seen this done for several other Samsung phones, including the regular Galaxy S4 for Verizon (900V).
Thanks
You mean you want to disable LTE functionality and just use 3G? Go ahead to settings, connections, mobile network:

No, the was frequencies for hspa+ are not supported by this device, but they may be supported by the modem by switching them from Band IV LTE to Band IV GSM.

Do those carrier use AWS frequencies like T-Mobile in the USA? If they do, you need to enable AWS in the i747.

Mobile network type hsdpa + but shows 3g

hi i unlocked the device for using with another gsm carrier and i get data but its always showing 3g in the status bar. the speed and the mobile network type is hsdpa + or hsdpa but it doesnt show h or h+ but 3g
any ideas?
Is your device from sprint? If so it could be the apn configurations aren't correct for your GSM sim. Or the sprint variant of the note 4 is not compatible with the GSM hsdpa.
Is this for domestic USA use or international?
