hello everyone,
Often times, when plug to my windows 7 laptop, My OG Pro and also my brother's OG Pro keep getting an automatic LG driver installation despite i had succeeded installation previously.
More annoying is that even if I installed the LG drivers manually, i still keep getting auto driver installation on ever time I plug in and it also happen a just random moment

Hi, on my HTC Touch Pro 2, I used the NRG roms and they always came with a software that was able to disconnect the data connection after a certain amount of time that I allocated. This stopped the phone always being connected to the internet. Is there such a software that AUTOMATICALLY does the exact same thing for android Samsung GSii? APNDroid doesn't do this because you have to do select it manually, I need something that does it automatically. Thanks.

Neither of those programs does what I have asked. I want the data connection to automatically stop after a specific amount of time.
Juice Defender can also make this job very good.

I'm on windows 7, 32bit, installed AT&T Samsung drivers.. Tried multiple USB cables that recognize my other devices.. But I can't for the life of me get this I747 to register as a portable device. Please help! Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Edit: device is stock and unrooted..
Do you have the original USB cables?

Did you try installing the drivers with this toolkit?

Still no dice. I followed the toolkit to the T, reinstalled the drivers a couple of times too for good measure, and my phone still never registered. This is driving me nuts! My friends phone is popping right up when she connects to the PC but not mine.
Try the assistance chat on Samsung site since you are stock they can help you better with that. It is starting to look like a hardware issue.

Try this. (use the usb cable that came with S3)
Worked for me on my Win7 32bit.
Had similar issues on XP. Different fix for XP.
same issue, although my phone connects to 32-bit version of win 7 at work and not at home 64 bit win 7.... just charges the phone, prompt NEVER comes up
I never get mine to show up on the first try. I usually have to plug it out and back in a few times for it to work. But when i got it working, it only works on the same usb port.
Another thing i did at first to get it to recognize the phone was to use the desk to app.

I kept toying around with this problem. My laptop has winxp. It would beep when I put the cable in, but I was always disappointed by no connection. Then my phone would tell me to try and download Kies. Did not want to do that. But I did. Connection could still not be made.
I stumbled onto a fix. Dunno if it will work for anyone else. I was juggling about 2 dozen things at the time and might have missed a critical step.
I plugged in a USB OTG cable with an 8gb flash drive. The phone recognized it! Even displayed a cute little message in the status bar that USB was connected (instead of MTP). This all lasted a whole 2.7 seconds after hours of searching for solutions.
I tried connecting it to my computer for another try, and I am proud to report that is is working flawlessly for now!!
I have had the same issue off and on. Found somewhere this past week a suggestion to pull the battery in order to cause a hard reboot. It worked. Plan on trying it whenever it happens again.
I have 2 pc's win7 and XP . Neither one even notice the phone is connected.
I have tried different usb cables,Usb debugging on/off, Lg driver from lg.com .
Phone just has a "low power charging" popup when plugged in to pc.
What can i do ?

Just follow the few steps:
1. Download & install (or reinstall) the latest LG Mobile Driver.
1.1 Your phone must not be plug in to your computer while installing driver.
2. Reboot your computer once it's done.
3. Make sure your device is not in USB Debugging mode. (Setting---Developper Option)
4. Choose MTP from PC connection type...
5. Plug your phone to your computer and let it load the driver.
Enjoy. :good:
Didn't work . Even took apart phone to examine usb port . Seems fine to me.
However Neither pc will connect to this or my Lg nexus 4.

Same here..
I'm in the same boat as you, even followed you're route of progressive troubleshooting all the way taking out the usb circuit board and looking for damage. I'm at a loss
Do you try port usb 2.0?
Try all the different usb ports.
Had the same problem when I would flash the KDZ file
I have a 2013 Nexus 7 and had no problems during the first week. One night i left it at 100% charge, and woke up to 70% i checked cpu spy and the device did not go into deep sleep. I literally tried EVERYTHING: factory reseted, rooted, installed custom roms and kernels and NOTHING fixed the deep sleep issue. Not even the JSS15Q update. I downloaded BetterBatteryStats and the process "pil-gss" and "powermanagementservice" are wakelocking the device. I did buy the nexus on Best Buy but i dont live on the us so its impossible for me to return it. I googled about "pil-gss" and didnt fint anything relevant. Please someone help me, the nexus is an amazing device but with the battery draining i think i will not be able to use it anymore :crying:
After a factory reset... Do you install apps or you have the issue without any app installed?

How are you charging it? There was a recent article on power management causing wakelocks with certain wireless chargers.

This seemed to start for me after the OTA updates were released, because my first week of owning it I had no problems. I even took it out of my new case with the magnetic lid just to be sure it wasn't caused by that to no avail.
Has anyone seen a way to remedy this? Obviously it's going to need a patch from Google, but is there a hack that might stop this?
PaulW from Google is apparently being made aware of the issues, I'm also having it, keep an eye on this thread:
https://productforums.google.com/fo...roid-devices/android-applications/AiQIc2DX5SI
Well my gnex did the usual not charging thing. Saying it's charging when it isn't plugged in. So I replaced the charging port so now it charged correctly. But it is still not recognised by my PC. Won't even show up in device manager or anything all the drivers etc are setup correctly I even bought a new genuine cable which didn't help either. Does anyone have any ideas. The phone has been completely formatted so is completely useless unless I can get it connected to my PC.
Cheers
If you have everything setup correctly and drivers are installed then its probably a faulty charging port...did you change it yourself or went to a store?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 4
I changed it myself with a brand new genuine one. I dontthink I stuffe fun it up as it now charges from the wall charger perfectly it also charges when plugged into the PC it just isn't recognised. Could there be something else that is faulty inside the phone?

Look for the "universal naked drivers" in the dev section.. Uninstall your current drivers and install those. I had a issue with no drivers working when I first got my gnex and those were the only ones that worked.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 4
And even if the drivers aren't setup correctly it should already show up in the window device manager shouldn't it? I think those are the ones I have installed but will set it all up again to see if that helps
