Hi all,
I am running ViperROM on the VZW HTC One M8. I flashed the camera mod, but I'm not sure if it worked, as the camera app looks the same. Is there something specific I should see to confirm that the mod did flash correctly? If anyone can let me know, that would be great. I would reply in the camera thread, but I don't have enough posts yet to do that. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I have the same question? Anyone?
the app itself won't necessarily look any different. the mod is to improve the quality of the images and the video.

Are you running a custom ROM? Most (all?) of the ics/jb ROMs have issues with third-party camera apps.
Aw yeh, that may be it, running cm9, well, that explains pretty much everything, haha, didnt think of it, well, thank you for the answer

With just bout any ICS rom (except maybe Virtuous Infinity, which is painfully slow right now), any app other than the stock camera app the rom comes with, will usually exhibit problems on the image (corruption etc). This is normally true of any '3rd party' apps on those roms.
The work around would be to snap the image with your main camera app, and then import it into instagram from the gallery.
sorry guys, since i couldn't post my problem on the development section, i posted my question here.
I am running CyanogenMod 10 Nightlies 4.1.2. I noticed the photos i take with the stock camera app cannot be seen. The photos seem to be fine when i use a third party app (Pudding camera).
Is this a known issue? i am just asking around to confirm if its a problem with the ROM and not an outcome of my stupidity. Otherwise its a brilliant ROM. thanx.

No, it's not a known problem, at least I don't have it.
They don't appear at all in the gallery app?
Go to application manager (rough translation)
Clear data from these apps:
Gallery
Media storage
Then reboot and you should be fine.
thank you

Hi guys,
Every time my Sprint S3 power cycles, I lose the functionality to use PhotoSphere. I have no idea why. I've tried different recovery options, fixing permissions...nothing.
It explains why all of a sudden .zip that previously had worked for me stopped working, and why now I'm able to do it with the APK file.
Honestly, I'm OK with re-installing that APK every time I want to use PhotoSphere, but there's got to be a better fix than that! Any suggestions, ideas, avenues to explore &c would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Do you mind sharing the APK that you used to get Photosphere?
The one or two that I've tried both have the functionality, but the "window" where I'm supposed to see the image being photosphered stays blank. I'm hoping I need a newer/better APK.
Thanks.

I can try - but I was pretty sure I posted a link to the thread in which its posted in your very photosphere thread asking for it - so check there if this doesn't work (my posting a link anyway). But here you go:

Ahh... that was you that provided the link. Thanks for the help.
I did try using that APK, but like I said... for some reason the camera image never displays in the box. I see the box and the blue circle... just no image. I dont get it. I dont have problems with any other camera app.
Thanks anyways. Good luck finding a fix for your issues.
Afternoon folks,
I'm debating whether to root my D855 and ditch the stock ROM in favour of CM12. I don't there's much about the stock install that I'd miss, but one thing I'm wondering about is how the Google Camera app compares to the LG one. Has anyone noticed any pros/cons to using the camera after flashing a custom ROM? I love the ability to take a selfie by clenching my fist, but I rarely take these so it wouldn't be too much of a loss.
Also, does CM12 improve control over the speaker volume? With the stock install I have a huge gap between silent and the first volume level - particularly annoying for alarms.
Any comments/thoughts appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Gray

I've been looking for camera mod for G920P 5.1.1 can someone point me in the right direction and by camera mod i mean longer 4k video with higher bit rate for 4k and 1080p.
I'm on 5.1.1 rooted OJ7
This is the only camera mod that I know of, I have no idea if it is suitable for you or even if it works: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spr...project-super-camera-steriods-note-5-t3205223
Just curious as to why you wouldn't use search to mind what you are looking for.

I am sorry if you did not find "I have no idea if it is suitable for you or even if it works" clear enough. I don't use camera mods myself but I was aware that at least one person had tried to develop one.
Do you think it might be worthwhile to see if the OP of that thread has continued with development?
Were there any links to camera mods that you wanted to add?
