Stupid question, but are you sure you are doing it right? To enter download mode, first turn the phone off. Then hold both volume buttons, and plug in the USB cable to your computer. Do NOT press the power button. Is this what you are doing?
Also, are you saying you rooted an F180 KitKat with Framaroot?!?! I find that very hard to believe, as it failed for me, and other people also confirmed that it didn't work...

anybody????

The same thing happened to me .. The phone didn't show DOWNLOAD MODE. ... i still flashed the stock kdz by these steps
1.. switch off ur phone
2.. keep the up and down volume buttons pressed and insert the usb cable
3.. open Kdz updater ..
4 .. click read phone information. .and wait for a minute
5.. if it even shows a slight progress seen in the green bar , then you have a go..
Notes
:1.. if the kdz updater even hangs and stops responding while reading ur phone info.. and takes some time.. ur phone is connected in download mode even it shows the slightest progress in the progress bar ( green coloured)
2... if u cant switch off ur phone due to frequent restarts. . just keep the cable connected and the volume buttons pressed while it is restarting
[you can also see ur computer's device mgr for ur phone connection ]
then just flash the Kdz as you do..
I HAVE DONE IT MYSELF several times when my phone didn't show Download mode on the screen.. but cannot guarantee it'll work for you too.. I I'd recommend you to give it a try as it always worked fir me..
BEST IF LUCK

follow these steps.. :if you have less than 1 gb kdz file
1) Download the latest KDZ from LG's server for your phone via
the app below (kudos to the creator)
http://www.mediafire.com/?cgeb6o5osy2yl9c
2) Make sure you have LG United Drivers already installed,
otherwise download from below
http://www.mediafire.com/?82nt1aeh04aqa3m
3) Download LG KDZ Updater
http://www.mediafire.com/?sj5y073xal03ntw
4) Download the manual adb wipe batch file
http://www.mediafire.com/?ru7erfxsz7p7s3p
5) Put your Optimus G into Download Mode by switching it off,
attaching the usb cable to the phone, holding both the up and
down volume buttons at the same time and lastly inserting the
usb cable into the computer; wait for the drivers to finish
loading if doing it for the first time.
6) Unzip the downloaded updater zip file and run KDZ_FW_
UPD.exe. Use the settings below
Type: 3GQCT
Phone Mode: CS_Emergency
KDZ file: navigate to the folder which you have saved the
downloaded KDZ from the step (1)
Click Launch Software Update and wait for the flash process to
finish
7) Your phone will restart itself when IParam = 90 is displayed
and proceed slower until you see IParam=1 again (which
signals the end of flash, you can safely exit the program then
and remove the cable from the phone). If phone boots up
normally, congrats, skip the steps below and proceed to use the
phone as per normal.
However, this most probably will not be the case for newer
Optimus-es, as the data partition somehow wasn't wiped even
when KDZ-ed, remaining 'dirty', thus causing bootloop or
security infringement.
8) If the phone is stuck at the booting up LG/Telco logo, you
will need to manually wipe the data partition.
9) Force the phone off by holding the power button for appx
15secs.
10) Put the phone into recovery mode by holding the volume up
and home button concurrently, then press the power button. Let
go of all the buttons after you see the LG logo on screen for the
2nd time and the screen goes blank thereafter (backlight may
still be on). The phone will kind of reboot and then enters
recovery mode. Repeat the process if you did not get it the first
time.
11) With the phone in Recovery Mode, connect it to the
computer, wait for the drivers to load (if doing it for the first
time), unzip the wipe batch file downloaded earlier from step (4)
, double click on wipe.bat to execute the wipe command.
12) Your phone will auto reboot when wiped and (hopefully)
boot as per normal.
Hope with this simple guide fellow members will feel safer when
rooting or removing non essential LG wares from their Optimus

[Q] LG G3 D855 Won't boot

Hey,
After rooting my D855 worked perfect until it the battery drained. Now, with a fully charged battery, it won't boot. It's currently stuck at the LG boot screen with the LED's cycling colours. Custom recovery isn't installed so I factory reset it using stock recovery and it still won't boot. When I connect it to my iMac, Android File Transfer recognises a device but tells me it's not available.
If anyone needs any info then please ask, hopefully someone is able to help.

FIRST install the DRIVER from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
See in the part 2015 with TOT files...
(if any other drivers are present, uninstall them and do a clean install)
You need to get in Download mode to be able to fix it without having to open the phone.
1. Unplug phone from pc and power off
2. Remove back cover and remove the battery
3. Plug the micro-usb cable into the phone
4. Press and HOLD the VOLUME DOWN (make sure you press it from the edge, far from the powerbutton)
5. Put the battery - Dont let go of Volume Down yet.
6. Connect the micro-usb cable to the pc - Dont let go of volume down yet
7. Wait for the pc to recognize it, and the download mode appears on the phone, now you can let go of volume down
Repeat again, first time might not work.

Solution for Hard Bricked LG G4 (9008)

Hi guys,
Some people including me faced Hard brick issue with LG G4, which has now two solutions. the first is temporary, i discovered it and it involves using an SD card flashed with Original EMMC dump ( i tested it with H815 ands H811) , the second needs advanced hardware, equipment and soldering skills ( JTAG) .
The solution that i want to explore is trying to revive the phone with the SD card.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/unbrick-lg-g4-h811-9008-qualcomm-t3456417
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/unbrick-lg-g4-h815-9008-qualcomm-t3452853
The H811 dump that i made has TWRP recovery and unlocked bootlloader, so if someone know how to help that would be awesome.
How ???, its very simple. I dont have very good UNIX architecture skills , but if the SoC successfully booted from the SD card. We could see if it detects the EMMC memory ( with parted or with LS command). I personally Tried to brow /dev/block directory from TWRP i hoped to find MMCBLK1 or something but that was unsuccessful , im pretty sure the TWRP or the Soc Does not mount it automatically .
I really dont know How , but i'm very Sure that there is a Solution headed that way , So if some one is Good with Unix architecture and can find a way to soft Flash the EMMC from TWRP ( installed in the SD card ) it would be very Nice
hi,i tried the sd card method...it boots but immediately gives me secure boot error (1006).
i have an h815 bl locked
Hello
I have LG H815 and have bricked. I have installed wrong firmware so it is brick now.

My computer is win 10 64 bit
You can fix fastboot mode with this way.
1. First you need to download stock rom that your phone supported. extract laf.img file from rom and copy it into fastboot directory
2. download LG Flash Tool and make it ready
3. open flash tool and load firmware and dll that support your model.
open command prompt and make sure you in fastboot directory where the fastboot and related files are stored.
Run following commands.
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase laf
fastboot flash laf laf.img
fastboot reboot

Hello, well after what happened I thought the same and went to buy another battery and when they tried it did not work, I repeat, not fastboot, no logo, no recovery, only a small vibration without screen, it is not detected by the PC in any of its modes as dead, the detail is that this happened after restarting when I had flashed bootloader N, rom V30, magiistic, I gave it restart and it did not turn on again, so I discard that it is hardware .
I think the problem was that I flashed the bootloader with full aboot, that gave me hardbrick I was told in a forum in Spanish I leave the link I hope you help me thanks

Hey MichaelCV
I have exactly the same problem with my LG G4 H815p. I was running [ROM][H815] H-ROM G4 NOUGAT [v29a] _ LG G4. The phone was up and running and last night I flashed the "LG-H815_29a_Modem_and_Bootloader.zip" to try resolve an issue I was having with the mobile data indicator not showing. I flashed the zip in TWRP, rebooted the phone and now it is bricked. I have exactly the same symptoms as you. Windows and FWUL does not see the phone, no matter what combination of keypressed etc that I try.
Lets hope we find a solution here for it.

You're still soft bricked, just force your device into download mode and use LG Flash Tool to return back to stock and start again.

If I remember correctly (please check threads here, it's been a long time since I've used this device, so memories are fading), download mode is activated when you press Volume Up (or both of volume buttons) and insert USB cable. I know that E98x has some strange button sequences, like rebooting to recovery is a two step operation (Volume Up + Power until navbar blinks, then power button twice, that's the only way mine wanted to boot into recovery), so please check around.
As far as USB connection issues, don't use USB3+ ports and if you're on Windows 8.1+ and later, run with Administrator privileges. I never experienced that one (used LGFlashTools from inside VirtualBox running Win XP for all my needs, I'm not a Windows user), so can't really help much but forums are full with explanations how.

Same with me when cross-flash from HK region to EU region, always to flashboot or recovery mode.
With usb cable connected with PC (your G7 always in fastboot mode) force restart by press and hold volume down + power until screen turn off, release two button and fast press and hold volume up before LG 7 logo. My G7 boot into download mode.

- While holding Volume Up key connect your phone to PC using USB Cable (Don’t leave volume key while connecting)
- Release the Volume UP key as soon as the phone goes into Download Mode.

Guys, I called you in one message as it seems we all had experienced the same drastic issue with the phone got bricked on the update process. We all probably used LGUP and on the update somewhere on the %'age progress (in mine it was 91%) the process stopped so we needed to force reboot and after that we got only fastboot menu.
Once trying to enter download mode, upon connecting to USB, the download mode title frame blinks for a split/second and it goes all way into fastboot only, correct?
Having said that - I believe it is vital not only to update how you resolved (or still resolving) the issue but how it happened we stepped in that deep sh!t overall...
On my particular case - I had bought the phone with branded oreo software, what I wanted was to (a) force-upgrade to Pie (as the brand operator is still very late with the Pie update) and (b) unbrand to open or brand Orange as I wanted the VoLTE and VoWiFi working. I used the LGUP 1.14 and tried uppercut but it did not work in my case (probably because of antivirus software something was permanently blocking) so I found the common_dll file which resolved the issue and the progress started. However, as mentioned - at 91% it stopped and phone died. I moved it to LGE service, they replaced the mainboard as it is under warranty. I suspect I used some sort of invalid DLL file, probably that caused the process crashed.
As a postmortem - I regret that in panic I force-rebooted the phone, it was certain the system won't start and now I realize it was also a high risk it will be bricked but you know... just tried to resolve instantly. I wonder what would happen if I would not reboot but leave the phone in download mode (still hold on 91% but still alive) and in that state would connect the phone back into LG Bridge software or LGEtool - possibly it would be recognized by the firmware auto-flasher inspected or fixed and it would reboot itself properly into download to resurrect...who knows.
I am looking forward your status guys - where are you with the fix and actually how did you go into that trouble - so what flash method you used ? You know, to avoid that scenario in future...

I investigated the problem of why it stopped at 98% and it is because of the issue of the ddl file, before any flash by lg up it is better to prevent and replace the common ddl file, which I did not do. just in case, I still have the phone in fastboot mode, I have not been able to find a solution yet.
So.. Ive actually managed to get outta fastboot and into quallcom9008 mode.. (Deliberately..) But.. Cant do **** ib that mode just yet.. Software not available.
Now i read about resetting while in thar mode via test points. Will let ya know if there comes anything from that..
(Btw... To get into 9008 mode.. Hold power and vol down while in that gawd aweful fastboot tutorial menu.. And tap the vol up button fast and repeatedly.. If it resets and you have a blank screen.. Ya there..!! If it just resets to.. Well. Fastboot.. Ya didnt rap fast enough.. Do it again.
To exit 9008 mode.. Just hold power and vol down till bootlogo comes up..
It aint much. But maybe some1 more clever can use that info and get us outta that gawd damn menu.. plz..
If you are stuck in fastboot loop see this post:
