Has anyone managed to get the google experience in e980 kitkat?
I don't see much visible changes in the kitkat update. What am I missing?
Thanks
Are you referring to the launcher? I don't quite follow you.

Looks like it is UCCW widgets. There are links in the page. UCCW is a free widget app from the play store. Great app and tons of customizations. Takes time to get used to it.

Whoever created lmt pie should make two versions, one for "normal" people and another for the "Einsteins" LOL

Try this version of PIE at the play store it was just updated yesterday
and it does NOT require root plus it's a free: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImp1bi5hY2UucGllY29udHJvbCJd
I am using Next Launcher 3D but it does not matter which launcher is used.
Lmt does require root

There is a pie control app on the Playstore. Free. No root needed, I used it before I rooted my phone. Worked fine for me.

Would these happen to work on other 4.3 AOSP/AOKP ROMs?
Is there any special thing to do before installing, like clear app data/force stop?
Thanks for sharing =D
Need update to Google play services as well to use Google now

Hmm, can you post the latest apk of Google play services? According to 4.4 Google now its requires an updated version of Google play services, an update that's not on the play store?

Gsmcore is Google Play services_4.0.30 (889083-38).apk
The one listed in the OP as Play Services is actually GoogleServicesFramework and will not install on anything lower than 4.4 (API 19).
Thanks for uploading though.

The gsmcore.apk in the op is the update to play services you need.worked perfectly on my razr hd maxx running cm 10.2. The other file isn't necessary. Btw touch less control in the launcher works great.

The only difference is the sound it makes when you activate voice search and the margin width and height between the home screen and the search bar (it's less). The only thing I was waiting for was the new app drawer icon- but I guess that's only with Material, so it's pretty much L exclusive at this point.

works perfectly in moto e. excellent. thanks a lot :good::good::good::good::good:
I read you'll need to change something in the build.prop to enable material look. It was noted somewhere in the "Android L apps" thread in apps section.
Let me know if you cannot find it. I'll try to locate it and post a link.
Edit: Found it here.
You'll find the build.prop hack on the 1st post. Make sure you read the warning as well.
