Great work my brother.
Success and convenience.
I am proud of you.
Big thanks.

I suggest you to add in the guide where to find the version of baseband currently using.
Anyway I'm using i8150xxlmg. It is suggested to upgrade? What benefit should I have?
If I have to take my phone to repair (my phone has life warranty but I don't explain you why) do I need to restore the "g" version?
Thanks anyway

Thank you sir for this job ..
The benefits for somebody are negative for another!
Samsung made a lot of versions for countries because every network and country has its baseband .. So choose your baseband which is for your country. .
We all knew that all of custom ROMs don't change the baseband of your stock ROM ..

Have a nice day :good:

Hi guys, the basebands are working on every country, for obvious reasons I don't know if the baseband for Italy is working good in new Zealand, but it is surely working. Benefits depends on several factors, first of all the baseband you are using before, for example I found that xxkpo and bukp7 basebands are quite the same, while from xxkpf to xxkpo I found the bigger advantage in battery drain. BTW I'm glad my work can be useful even for you
Inviato dal mio GT-I9001 utilizzando Tapatalk

Thanks for all the work - installation just went fine. (P.S.: for Italy, choose the europen XXLMI baseband, is the best!)

I forgot to mention, did you see the backup/restore script of the current baseband on my thread? Maybe someone can find it iseful

It works only with one package?I used to have like 4 things....
there is a checkbox "one package" (or something like that) in odin. if you enable it you only need one file. in the internet are many tutorials how to flash stock roms with odin. just search for "galaxy gio odin"

a stock rom is the rom which is on your smartphone when you buy it. it has some modifications by samsung (for example touchwiz).
you cant flash a stock rom with cwm you need to flash it with odin. but in the development section are many stock based custom rom. you can flash these with cwm.

use the closest one to you.
not all firmwares are fpund on sammobile, but for example if you live in the netherlands and use german, russian or any european firmware, it works fine.
if im not wrong, every european country-firmware has all european languages.
they only contain some apps that are country specific, wich can be easily get rid off when you have root acces..

[STOCKs] Stock Basebands Flashable Via Odin, new baseband XXLMI!

Well, I've used yewsiong's tutorial to extract basebands from stock roms. Here, I've extracted some basebands and they are flashable via Odin Multi Downloader. Remember! It's only the baseband (you can check it on About Phone), not with the firmware, it won't reset your current rom or delete your root.

The baseband is not a rom but it's the software that control the mobile connection of your mobile phone. So if you install a baseband for your country that is better than another from another country the connection to the internet will be better and faster and the battery will last more because the frequency for your country are optimized.

It's based on the cm9 rc5 (Im working to upgrade it to rc6 anycase)
It's working properly on my mobile, but do a nandroid backup before installing.

If you want, PM me and try my new rom.

[SOLVED] 4.3 Not registered network/Emergency call

Hello everyone. I installed the leaked 4.3 but I need ariza patch. When I install it I lose the IMEI (IMEI: Unknow, BASEBAND: Unknow).
I tried recovering EFS, but does not work.
Any idea?
Thank you
SOLVED: Here is the solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47502714&postcount=1136
Thanks to Zuluman!
Patched modem mj9: https://www.dropbox.com/s/u60919sl1e40ko4/GT-N7100_ModemMJ9.zip
If you backed up your efs before the newer dmg1 modem came out, downgrade to a stock Rom and modem then restore your legs then upgrade back to 4.3 but follow install instructions those Rom OP's
Sent from my GT-N7100 using XDA Premium HD app
Downgrade to mg1, apply ariza patch, lost imei and baseband, restore old backup efs and working fine, but when upgrade to 4.3 again lost imei & baseband. I tried to flash MG1 modem on 4.3 and works but no signal, so apply ariza patch and the problems come again, no imei, no baseband....
Same happening here... Please if anyone can help...it will be very grateful.
Sent from my GT-N7100
On mg1 bases should i change the kernel to allow me to restore my efs. Whit stock kernel I can't do it.
So, maybe, whe we have custom 4.3 kernel can do it.
My procedure on mg1 installation: flash rom, install ariza (on this step i lose imei and baseband), flash custom kernel, restore efs from adb and works fine.
Enviado desde mi GT-N7100 usando Tapatalk
@jhonyp ya but restoration of efs only works with stock rom with that mobile came... not with 4.3

So my efs backup is useless in 4.3?
I should make a new efs backup after the upgrade, install the patch ariza and then restore the new efs backup?
this is correct?
No actually you can't restore the efs on 4.3. I have tried taking backup after 4.3 and then azira patch and then tried restoring but no chance.

same thing happened to me in mg1, mg1 + ariza + efs restore = no imei efs / baseband, then changed the kernel + efs restore = working well, signal / imei / baseband correct

Emergency calls only -> but EFS is ok

Hi, I have a problem I wish you can solve.
Yesterday I tryed installing the Dr. Ketan 4.3 ROM + the note 3 mods, but after all I noticed my signal was lost (the imei showed in the settings was correct).
So I tried flashing back the 4.1.2 stock firmware and the signal problem wasn's solved, but my imei, baseband&co begun NULL, so I tried a lot of EFS backups, hard reset and ever I don't know what.
Now the situation is this:
I'm on the 4.1.2., stock kernel, stock modem, I don't know how, my imei is back, but the "emergency call only" is still there!
What's the possible problem?
If the imei is ok then try ariza patch its helpfull in this i think

I read that Ariza patch doesn't work on 4.3 roms, is it true? Do you know another method to solve the "no signal" problem for 4.3?
