Hi,
Is there anyway I can the Santander Personal Banking App to work on my Nexus 7 4.4? It's obviously not supported in Google Play Store, but What's app said the same but I found an APK for it and it works fine; but I can't find an APK for the Personal Banking App for Santander. So if anyone has the APK or any advice on it that would be great. I have tried the app that changes your device registration but that didn't work.
Thanks
Ryan
Here is the latest UK version.
Really grateful for this, otherwise I couldn't have it on my nexus. I don't suppose anyone has the latest version(3.4.5) though?

I've Galaxy nexus, and the market is updated to Play store (latest android market). I've Codename Android ICS version installed. Need help installing apps from Play store which say "Not supported in your country". I installed 'Market enabler', and pointed it to T-mobile US, Verizon US, but still no use. Can someone please help me with this?
Having the same issues here ..
You should probably email the app creator instead of asking here...
I was asking if there's any alternative for market enabler which works with Play store...plz suggest
theres no alternative to that just yet...
if you really just want to uninstall apps just do it thru settings > apps ot download titanium backup and uninstall them from there

to purchase apps you need to have a Google wallet account registered somewhere that actually supports purchasing apps from the market.

Hi I have a question following what you said. I have a friend who wants to buy a app but he can't do it in his country. He said he found the .apk but somehow it still could not work. So I was thinking maybe he needs Market enabler. If he has it and I buy the app and give him the .apk file, could he then install the app?
Thanks
Hi, little project maybe for someone out there.
Can you please make Barclays PingIT work on rooted phones without having to remove root or do 3 or 4 procedures every time before using PingIT.
I could only find 1 other thread here about PingIT and there was not really a solution there. would be really useful for rooted users to be able to use the app.
Thanks
not barclays pingit but natwest app works perfect on a rooted phone hope it gets sorted for you. maybe if your running custom rom check dpi of your rom as this can stop the app being installed in the store, google for the apk itay work that way as you wont have play store restrictions
if you already have it on your phone check dpi, permissions etc. it could be something simple had same issue with natwest app til i changed dpi

i think it is much more involved than that.
i have used PingIT on a new ICS install on my phone before rooting it and it works fine. However when you root it the app stops working and you get a message saying it wont work on a rooted phone due to security issues. there is a little info on the net about it where devs have tried to get around it but no one successfully yet as far as i could find.
no new news on this?
Hello,
recently, i decided to root my phone so that i could get the free in app purchases. Whenever i would use Freedom V0.8.4 to do the hack, it would only work for 4 times, and by then the google play store would update. To solve this, i tried disabling the google play store, but that didn't work. So then i did some web surfing, and found that Android Market V2.3.6 doesn't automatically update, so i rejoiced for a moment, downloaded it, and installed it. then when i went to open the android market to make sure it worked, it was nowhere to be found. not in the application list in the application manager, or anywhere else. Then i remembered, before i had installed the market 2.3.6, i had left the "disabled" part checked for google play. Also, when the market had installed, typically it will give you the option of "done" or "open".The only one i could click was "done", as the "open" was not able to be clicked.
Now i am unable to do anything that would require the market. i even tried installing newer versions of the android market, and they either didn't install, or did the same thing as v2.3.6
Please help, i really dont want to do a factory reset.
thanks for any help
My info- att samsung galaxy s3 sgh- i747
rooted
Since you're using an app to get free paid apps, you're not gonna get any help.
Don't be a scumbag and support developers.
Have a good day.

Did you try replacing the play store with a a current version and then fixing permissions and not stealing from people that used a lot of their time to bring you content?

Yes, we are stuck. I installed 3.5 AT&T but doesn´t work either. The only thing I could get is Swiftkey
I've been able to successfully install Google play services, account manager and the services framework previously. Managed to get apps such as YouTube, gmail and others to run without crashing. Problem is, I used specific versions and I can't remember which ones they were ? I'm trying to find out what I did right and then I can document it so I won't forget again lol. Bare with me.
Google play store is a no go on 3.6.6 though. Use 1mobile or something instead.

Okidoki, sorted. Get them from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2365224
Then download the latest Google play services from apkmirror.com and update the one you installed from the above link. Reboot and get YouTube and whatever other stuff you need ?

Thanks, but... It didn't work. I tried that this morning and it didn't allow me to install even 1 of the apks
Thanks anyway
does this require root to the device
thanks for any replies , forgot to add this
thanks
The method that lu1gj3s posted above would require rooting, as that's the same method for all Kindle Fire tablets. As for the Fire Phone I assume it's the guaranteed to way to make it work
Has anyone tried Baidu root or something similar? I think I'll give it a try tomorrow and then go through the method of putting Google Play on again

no haven't messed on that much with it yet as I am waiting for a couple of nano sims to arrive for the 2 that I bought. im not that bothered about the play store itself but more about maybe gmail, google chrome and you tube. As I have a nexus 4 now I am pretty used to google being a part of everything i use plus it works well with my chromebook
Easiest way to root is towel root.
For rooting and google services etc. take a look into my guide - follow these steps and your phone should work well.

thanks for info
will try and have a good go when house is quiet and no kids about lol
No root needed to make it work. I got it running without root on 3.6.6 except for the play store.

Install account manager > services framework > play services > reboot > update play services > install youtube/gmail etc
Must say its disappointing.
The main selling point for me is, its dirt cheap and we can run android apps off it
I will be trying to root this little bad boy, anybody had much luck?

Well as you've had people say that the downgrade to 3.5 from 3.6.6 works I guess I'll give it a try
But no harm in trying Baidu Root first
Can you update to 3.6.8? In that version there's no problem with Google Apps
ya same here 3.6.6 no google play
ya im in Ireland got phone for 99pound need google play badly need to update to 3.6.8
If anyone hasn't yet figured out that play store won't work on any version of 3.6.6 haven't even tried to solve the problem by looking it up.
I've got it all working but every now and then get play services have stopped coming up on my phone (if anyone knows how to get rid of that let us know, thanks). I've used blackmart but most of all I use aptoide for all my apps. What I have noticed as well any apps that confirm purchases with play store load up.
I have to say, the fire phone with Google services and gapps is 1 of the best phones out. I think it's great and while they've hacked the price, I'd hope more devs would invest more time in to roms and other goodies. £99 you'd have to be stupid not to get 1.

+1 here..
"google services framework has stopped"
the process "com.google.process.gapps" has stopped
Have tried numerous guides to get this to work on 3.6.6 and none of them work for me, and yes i've looked it up
If not how about being helpful and providing a link or copy and pasting the guide that works?, GoogleFu isnt working out for me.
All the youtube guides and plagiarised articles i can find all reference the same method that doesn't work out.
Alternatively they recommend moving them to system apps which you cant do unless you're rooted and that would mean a downgrade to 3.5
I've heard a number of apps don't work on the Nokia N1, even on the version with the Google Play Store.
Among others, I've heard that Instagram, Twitter, and the Verizon FiOS apps don't work. Can anyone with the tablet please confirm if these apps work fully or not?
Thank you!
Apparently the non-rooted Google Play version has more apps working on it. But I'd appreciate more info from anyone

Hi, thank you for your response. My question is, do more apps work with the Taiwanese, Google Play version of the N1 than with a rooted Chinese N1 with Google Play? Some people with rooted devices tell me apps like Instagram and Twitter aren't working. But some with non-rooted, unlocked Taiwanese versions tell me these apps are indeed working fine.
So, it seems there's a difference between a rooted N1 with Google Play and an unlocked Taiwanese version with Google Play services out-of-the-box. The latter seems to have much greater app compatibility. Is this correct?
