There's a thread on developing a MIUI rom here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146406
I suspect that once work on CM7 is complete we will start to see a lot more ROMs based on that.
Hi ,

Hello guys, I wanted to root my sony ericsson Arc s Lt18i, I realize little of the subject, since'm through to those searching the forum a bit but I had many doubts.
What is the best is the best ROM for my phone (CM9.1)?
I have the bootloader unlocked and have version 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431).
How do I root?
I'm afraid of making blunders ...
Thank you guys.
Read one of the other numerous threads asking the same question.
Sent from my CM9'd Arc
As XperienceD said search around for similar threads. The best ROM is: the one that suits you're needs, see what each ROM as to offer and then decide...
Following the original question.. The led notification problems on the stock ICS Rom has been solved in some custom Rom?

hi mate
the best rom for arc/arc s will be jellysandwhich rom with xarc kernel
smoothest and the lightest
almost all hd games smooth and it roxx
i've been using jellysandwich, but with latest update, and the apps2sd auto support, that doesn't work, i can't use link2sd, so pretty bad. JJ Hybrid, it's kind nice, but the keyboard on browser lags as hell
so far I know the best rom is Xperia Ice Bean 4.2n by jader see this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786871 and his working on new projects called Xperia Ice Bean X , still with some bugs, but he is working on themhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863036
This is definitely a matter of opinion, but I always feel at home and also feel I get the most out of my device in terms of customization, theme wise and hardware tweaking in general with CyanogenMod.
I'm currently running CM9 and I have no issues, battery is great, no choppy performance issues and with theme choose, everything looks great to the eye.

If you don't care about graphical user interface ,defintely JJ hybrid rom is great (fast - compatible with games - has ROM control as well) ,few bugs though like wifi hotspot http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1537717
If you care about having nice user interface with reasonable game performance with lots of free ram available you can try Jelly sandwich http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1836993 or the Remix http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1884958
Also Xperia Purness worth a try as well http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1788701
For the Kernel i always advice to use stock kernel in order to avoid battery drain issues.

I'm using JELLY SANDWICH 6.1 with arc night kernel. I think you should try this ROM. This ROM has already rooted.
If you want a ROM with stability, you shoud try Arconium ICS 4.0.
first thing sorry for my bad english , and my noob questions, this is my first android phone and here is the story...
hello guys, i just bought xperia ion, and it is already lagging in 4.1.2 version
i am noob, and heard that people here make fast android versions for old phones
my question is what is the best and most stable , and most important, fast and smooth rom ; that i can install on xperia ion
i want something stable bcuz i won't make anychanges later in the android version, and i won't update it
just something that will hold good for a year , and has nice performance
Best Rom in my experience
I am using Xperia ion for the past couple of years...I tried out almost every rom which is available for the device and in my opinion I would suggest you to install this Rom [ROM][PARANOID ANDROID 2.53][Xperia ION - JB 4.1.2] (update 13/07/2013) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953780
It is smooth, fast and also bug free. Even the battery life is good
Hi Guys,
I am looking for a 4.2.2 or 4.3 Custom ROM for Xperia S. I have used stock based 4.1.2 and 4.4.4 Kitkat also, but never with others. So, if any of may suggest me a ROM which is most stable and can perform well, It will be great for me. Thank you.

Thanks, man, flashed it, using it right now. It's very smooth. Have you used Omni ROM 4.3.1 for XS? May you tell me, how is that?
Since nougat is working really good in Xperia S, I just wanna know why no further development were made on Xperia S for Android 8.1. I downloaded and flashed Oreo ROM by @millosr. But it's an alpha ROM and it's not really that Smooth, but thank you millosr. If anyone's got a little time to spare, can you make the oreo ROM for us (pweaasee). This device really amazed me, and it'll be awesome if anyone could improve millosr's ROM and make it more stable and awesome. Thanks in advance
