I am trying to make my break with Windows complete. But there is an app called Calibre that I still have to use to convert pdf and prc files to mobi files. Has anybody used an android app that can do this?

compiled using visual studio, but it's basically just a zip file as well.
Has anyone figured out how to sideload their books on the Nexus?
Hate to bump this up but I would really like to know if anyone figured it out?

Click to collapse
If the books are on your nook account, you can just download the Nook Reader app for Android and log into your B&N account.
If you just have generic epub files you'd like to read, you could try calibre or any e-reader app

Did you copy them over to any specific folder?
Also I am going to try Calibre and see if it works.
OK got it. I what happen was I installed the Nook app while my phone was connected to my PC. It wasn't until plugging it back in today that the Nook folder appeared.

Hello there, I'm wondering if there's a way to stream my multimedia content from my PC to my Note.
I don't really like using Dropbox or other online storage services.
Is there a way to directly stream?
Thanks.

Just share the folder on your network then access it using es file explorer or some other explorer that allows lan file discovery
If you want to actually stream the content, not just make it appear in es explorer and such, look into upnp/dlna.

Tversity always works great. Moboplayer(play store free) will stream if the phone doesnt do it by default.

Try remote media center (play store). You can access your content while on your home wifi and also over the mobile data network. It is used along with remote potato server that you install on your pc. This setup works flawlessly for me.

I believe Plex also allows. Access outside the home does it not? But one would assume that using streaming in that matter outside the home must devour your data.

Just incase you don't know, you can now important your ebooks (epub or PDF) into your Google Books collection. You must use Google Play on the web.
Go to Google Play > My Books > import
You can install a bunch of ebooks at a time & it works very well.
I was wondering how long or if they would ever do this or not. So glad that they finally did.
Here's where I got the article from:
