Hello.
Let's take them one by one.
1. you should post things like this here.
2. you need to specify which ROM are you using and whether or not you installed any mods or tweaks on it.
If you're using a custom ROM, such as a CyanogenMod ROM or another one based on it, make sure that the installation procedure below was followed (ALL the steps). This is in case you have a custom ROM like the ones mentioned above. For stock ROMs, you will need to use ODIN on your PC and follow steps 1 , 2, 3, 5. On step 4, you will need to flash the stock ROM via ODIN. For both cases, you will need CWM Recovery (which will be replaced by the stock recovery when the flashing of the stock ROM is completed successfully).
Steps to follow when flashing a custom ROM. Make sure the ROM and the Gapps are on your external memory.
Enter CWM and:
select "wipe data / factory reset"
go to "mounts & storage" and format /system. This is extremely important!
under the same menu, format /sdcard (be careful NOT to format /external_sd by mistake)*
install the ROM (from the external sd)
install the corresponding Gapps (from the external sd)
reboot your phone

1st question: since you're probably running CM11 (KitKat), use a theme from the Play Store. There are a few default JellyBean themes that should change those colors back to blue. I personally love the new white in KitKat but, of course, it's a matter of taste really. If you're on JellyBean, you just have to apply the default system theme (assuming you didn't do a dirty installation, after flashing a KitKat ROM for example). That white is only available as a CM11 theme, or by default, in CM11 ROM.
2nd question: That kernel is:
for CM10.1 or CM10.2. So if you're running CM11, no, you cannot use it
not up to date. So it might not play nice with CM10.1 or CM10.2. So, I wouldn't recommend it. Yes, it should give you more RAM, BUT it might cause you more troubles since it's not updated.
The problem with this device is the low amount of RAM and the fact that the apps are becoming more and more hungry for RAM. If you allocate more RAM for the user, you take from the one for the system, and eventually you might encounter system freezes. If you give more to the system, the user will have less to load apps. It's a compromise, especially when you're working with this low amount of RAM.

Team, I have successfully rooted my slide. Im using the original stock ROM
Im using the following:
Firmware Version: 2.1 -update1
Kernel Version: 2.6.29 - 5f8ed145
[email protected] 18-2 #1
Build Number: 1.18.531.1 CL164069 test-keys
Now for some reason im running out of internal ROM space to install apps. (I am down to 14 mb) When I go to my t-mobile app and choose "My Device" it tells me the internal memory is like 145mb and that I have used up most of it
I know this phone with OTA was suppose to have like double the ROM.
What can I do to double it or unlock the additional internal ROM
Any one who can guide me to a forum or Wiki on "How to" would be great
Any one who wants to share additional steps would be also great.
please be advised that i did attempt to use the new Cyanogenmod and even with that ROM installed I still only have 145mb app space.
any tips and tricks would be great as well
Thanks to everyone who helps.
[Q] = question
questions go where?
Development?
Seems logical.

Here is a link to the newest rooted OTA. It is 100% stock Slide Espresso rooted with apps2sd (ext style)
If you want apps2sd to free up some space you need to partition your sd card to have a ext partition on it. Then just flash ROM I linked you to. It will automagically wipe your phone during install so as always make sure you do a nandroid backup.
Here is a link to the thread where you can find everything you need to know about this ROM. I do not recommend flashing the add-on pack. There are a few things broken in it.

Awesome....I downloaded the ROM and updated to it, but still not getting the A2SD
I even tried to use "Rom Manager" to partition the memory card but its not working. It just wipes everything and it reboots on the part that says "partitioning SD..." but after the reboot nothing happens....so my question is....Once i have installed the ROM...what do I do now to get the A2SD?....whats the first step? and what Ext number is it? Ext 2 or Ext 3?
please shine some light, thanks
You need to get the ubuntu live CD and partition your sdcard from there...google ubuntu and download the latest ubuntu desktop image, burn it to a cd and then reboot, boot into the ubuntu disk and go to system/administration/gparted and partition your sdcard...ext3 is best...
Then on your slide:
go into a terminal and type su then hit enter. Then type
chka2sd
And hit enter. It'll tell you whether or not your apps are on sd and give you some options. The one you need to do is
a2sd install
You can also type
a2sd help
For a list of other commands like moving dalvik-cache to sd, etc.

he also needs to move the dalvik-cache to the ext partition.
it's all in that thread for the rom.
Once you get it setup properly, it works really well. I have 141 apps installed and I have 101MB free still.
Disclaimer
I accept no responsibility if you damage your phone, lose your data or fail to attend an important meeting because of a broken phone agenda.
If you follow this tutorial DO backup. To an external sdcard or preferably a PC.
Also, continue reading if you are ok on FULL WIPING your device. You've been warned!
I take no credit at all for the ROMs and recoveries offered in this thread. They are only examples and I have no plans on maintaining them other than for personal use. Instructions to patch or rebuilds more up to date nightly builds are offered.
Special thanks to:
* CyanogenMod team
* Entropy512 and the Omni team
* Dees_Troy for TWRP
The problem
Probably you are feeling like me. This is a great device, but the storage layout is frustrating. Only 3GB for /data an 9GB for /sdcard !!!
Meaning:
- Just a few apps before the storage is full
- Google Music will not be able to download more than a few albums
The reason
Oppo decided to not have unified partition layout (/data and /sdcard do not share the same space as any other modern phone does). This is something my three years old Galaxy Nexus has!!!!
Solutions
There are a few, but without Oppo's support (meaning: repartitioning) all of them will be non standard and will limit ROM interoperability.
On this thread I will focus on three of the less dangerous solutions:
Option 1 : Use "sdcard0" (9GB) as /data, "userdata" (3GB) as "sdcard1" and the external sdcard as "sdcard0"
Option 2 : WIP : Create a volume group (LVM) using "userdata" and "sdcard0" physical devices (totalling 13GB). Use this as /data and the external sdcard1 as sdcard0. This is based on an idea by Entropy512 and I take no credit at all
Option 3 : WIP : Same as 2 plus unified partition layout (/sdcard0 on top of data). Leave sdcard1 as sdcard1 if you have it.
What you will need
Options 1 and 2 require an external sdcard. Option 3 does not (although you can still use it)
You should have installed fastboot and adb in order to flash a new recovery and do backups.
You need to use my special TWRP builds only.
Option 1
This is the easiest (but less than ideal) solution. You will have 9GB in /data and use your external sdcard as /sdcard0 (as if it was internal). the remaining 3GB will be considered as an external /sdcard1.

The trick is simple, just replace the partition table (fstab.qcom) with this one. Put it on device/oppo/find7/rootdir/etc/fstab.qcom and brunch find7. Additionally rebuild TWRP with a similarly modded twrp.fstab. Alternatively you might want to rebuild the boot.img ramdisk, build for another ROM (OMNI is a great option too) OR use the downloads below:
* CM11 with the new parition layout (source built on 20140626)
* TWRP with similar partition layout (although external_sd is still external_sd and internal_sd is sdcard0).
Instructions:
1) Use your existing standard TWRP to do a nandroid backup to your external sdcard
2) Reboot into your bootloader (adb reboot bootloader or hold on your vol up and power button)
3) Flash this special TWRP image (fastboot flash recovery twrp-find7a-swapped-data-sdcard.img)
4) Reboot into recovery (power off, hold vol down and power button)
5) Click on Wipe, Advanced Wipe. Check Dalvik Cache, System, Data, Cache, Internal_sd, Android Secure (pretty much everything EXCEPT external_sd)
6) Flash the provided CM11. BE SURE YOU ARE USING THE CUSTOM TWRP IMAGE.
7) Reboot
8) Profit
Options 2 and 3
These are still WIP.
Extras
After flashing the ROM you would like to flash some extras:
* PA_GApps : DO not use anything other than MICRO MODULAR PA package, as the others will overwrite camera files will Google camera and it is broken.
* OnePlus One CyanogenMod 11s Camera : Works nicely
Rolling back
Just flash the original TWRP.
Go to Wipe menu, full wipe every partition (except external sd)
Flash whatever ROM you want.
Done

alienmind sir,
amazing outstanding...so a quick question CM11 is now ready for the FIND 7 QHD X9077& X9076..didn't see that anywhere
i have a thread on oppo forums http://www.oppoforums.com/threads/free-our-memory-movement.17302/
trying to convince oppo to deal with this very issue of the 3gb app issue i have informed the members after being informed by a member,(rpcherrera),about this link,so just need confirmation this will work before flooding your thread with willing participants...
I can't grant the ROMs provided will work with the QHD model as I don't have one to test it. In principle this little hack or a very similar one should work though if you patch any QHD image with the provided fstab or something very similar. Although I accept test devices if you are willing to donate ;-]

thank you for your reply,if i had a spare £450 lying about i would gladly donate one to you,if you would like me to put the feelers out on the thread for the members to donate to you for this purpose i will do so...no problem
it's a shame there is no working development for the QHD yet...i know @coldbird is working on some and i can't wait till he has a working rom,(miui), or fix for this issue
so i can update my thread and let the users know this is for find 7a only...thank you
and please let me know if you want me to help you get donations from my thread, when i hear back from you about it,i will start the ball rolling
Don't worry about the donation thing, I was just kidding. Although the images provided are not directly flashable, as soon as you have CM11 support for the QHD, the hack above should work - given that you rebuild with the provided fstab.

yeah things are looking slow for the find 7 QHD,i will probably have my 1+1 by the time this device gets a stable custom rom, plus i am also looking at the VIVO XPLAY 3S another great device...unfortunately i doubt there will be any custom roms made for that device i doubt the source code will be released for it....also the nubia X6 http://liaow.com/nubia-x6-128g-white.php is another nice device that may never see a dev get their hands on the source code to customise...a shame really but thems the breaks i suppose,

Why I cant disable CM sms messaging app? I'm using Google Messenger. I believe some weeks or months back I was able to disable it (and I still am able to disable Cm browser app, email and other system apps)
Hi,
you should be able to disable it via SDMaid. It can't be disabled via inbuilt manager because CyanogenMod only allowed to freeze some system apps. Messenger can't be freezes.
Thanks for using Q&A!
Hey, users reported there is no Gello in latest build, but how about videos in Chrome?
We know, or I do, that build 28/04 is does not support videos in Chrome. Uhm, not sure if I am supposed to be able to ask this but, @Trafalgar Square will you do any clean buid soon? It may fix the minor bugs we have now. Thanks.

hello,
I decided to install your ROM on my Note II.
Im coming from 4.4.2 official.
I just rooted and installed latest TWRP,backuped everything with Titanium.
Do I just wipe and install your ROM and GAPPS?
Do I need anything else, like change partition sizes and stuff?
Or do I just shoot?
Thanks in advance!

This is exactly what you have to do:
- root your device, use CF-autoroot by Chainfire
- flash TWRP 3.0.2.0 (latest, find it on their website)
- wipe EVERYTHING
To do so go to settings and check rm-rf instead of formating; after that wipe data and type "yes". go to advanced wipe and wipe cache, dalvik, internal, system (everything you see there. USB-otg and micro sd are not required, but i always wipe sd because i have nothing important on it).
- reboot device in recovery and if you want to be 100% sure, wipe again everything with rm-rf ON (reboot again in recovery)
- now you can connect your device to PC and copy the rom zip and gapps zip to your device,(i copy them on sd, it doesn't really matter).
- disconnect your device and flash tge rom zip
- when that's done DONT wipe dalvik/cache
- flash gapps
(make sure you don't flash google camera, it's not working)
- now you CAN wipe dalvik and cache
- reboot into system
Enjoy the best CM 13 ROM.
Now, if you want to tweak your device a little bit more you can install from play store Greenify (in greenify go to settings and enable Aggressive Doze) and L Speed. There is a thread on xda with L Speed. The maintainer explains there what L Speed does and how it works.
I use them and it works better.
@Trafalgar Square did you notice a slower charge with BeansKernel? I get like 1100 mAh..

Install Greenify and go to it's Settings. You will see there Aggressive Doze unenabled, so you have to enable it.

7.I have also added scripts to decrease CPU cores in beta Test - It can be activated in the kernelAdiutor settings(Activation at your risk -Unstable-)
(if you see problems turn it off)
Rom works very well no problem with Google applications.
All changes are added to the Rom PixelExperience_gemini-8.1.0-20180207-1435-OFFICIAL
Thank you for Rom dev "Dzienny" everything and its merit that brought us this beautiful CustoRom - I have only contributed with small changes.
Seen so many problems that are created by installing kernel and Root reported by many users.

You can try but I did a clean installation as I described. I recommend installing from OTG:good:
So my friend the correct is to install the twrp that you made available, format data, system, date, davilk cache and also I will format the internal to stay a clean installation, then copy back the rom files and install miui global zip and then the zip pixel, because in your tutorial this is a little confusing the installation process please clarify please thank you.

Then I'll write to you as I did
1. I installed the TWRP Patched
2. Format data
3. wipe cache data, date, system, cust e (internal memory because I have a flash drive)
4. Using OTG with a flash drive I installed PixelExperienceMod_deiwid63
If you do not have the flash drive after formatted internal memory move ROM to internal memory and install, or do not format the internal memory.
Nice to see this. I love the pixel experience, but the last build is really buggy with the darkness kernel. You have added priima kernel again. This one has resolved the Google app FC which occurs in the original pixel experience rom?
Thanks,
This ROM is excellent. I've been using LOS15.1 for a while and your mod of PE with Priima kernel simply destroys LOS in battery life. No FC of the Google app as far as I can see.
I'm interested in what the rationale is behind masquerading as a Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge?

Before installing, read what I wrote in the first post. Solution and in the first post. :good:
This problem affects Google Camera, not Camera, which is included in the ROM - Next time you have to provide precise information.THX:good:

Unfortunately problem of the kernel not Rom - Just deactivate HDR + in the front GoogleCamera and return colors.

What's the difference between this and your other 15.1 rom? o:
Edit: I looked it up and it seems to be a faster version of oreo.
Its build with android go optimization flags, they was made for low end devices that you are able to run oreo also on 512mb and 1gb ram devices with good performance. Maybe (to be honest not enought tested) it helps also member who have 2gb ram devices. Apart of that change its the same and contains of course the same features and changes from my unoffical lineage 15.1.
About battery can not say anything for now, performance seems to be slightly better, some little optical changes will also faced e.g. in recent app menu where you find clear all button...
Test it on yourself and tell us if you feel any differences, every feedback is welcome
Sent from my athene using XDA Labs
I was hoping someone would try to make this. I'll have to charge up my G4 when I get back home later tonight to try this out. Thanks for the build!
The ROM is super smooth!! Thanks dev for this awesome ROM!
You've been cooking wonderful ROMs lately. I will try this one as soon as I can. Keep it up!
When I developed roms, I used this commit to vastly improve the use of RAM directly in the frameowrk, I bought the same link that applies in slimrom, I hope and you can include it in a new version
https://github.com/xperiafan13-rom/frameworks_base/commit/aa64012a667eb5f27f643517678da60aca99a981
Awesome work dev!
Is it stable enough to use as a daily driver?

Do I Need To Install Rom Again After Doing This? On First Step It Is After Installing & On Last Step It Is Follow How To Install,I Didn't Get It
And this rom is also lagging very badly in my Moto G4S plus. I am confused no Oreo room is running smoothly on my phone (lags in recents, app drawer, status bar and also in app opening animations). I have tried loony kernel with this goedition, it booted well but lags we're still there. And I tried without gapps I mean just the rom. Feels like I need to get a new device.

This part you can forget, cause you already done all needed steps, for what you want to reflash everything?
The rom is good, fast and stable but it has a thing called trust that disables my root access every time, I'm tired of flashing magisk and getting it disabled and i can't disable that "trust" thing. I reinstalled the rom twice but I can't use some apps that need root access that I use frequently.

Because magisk has hide function. It isn't visible for system, but it is rooted the whole time
