Paranoid Android With ElementalX Kernel - Verizon HTC One (M7)

I have an VZW HTC one running Beta 6 about to install beta 7. My question, I am trying to install the Elemental X Kernel but I don't know which one to use. I tried this one listed below but it just boot loops. Probably because it's not a google play or based off of Sense 5.5. So anyone know the answer? Greatly appreciated!

Elemental X is for Sense and/or GPE based roms.
Paranoid Android is Aosp based, not Sense.
In other words, it won't work.
There is no version of it you can flash on that rom.

you do not. it doesn't exist. it's not an option for you. or anyone else. you need to use a sense or GPE based rom or a kernel that supports AOSP for the Verizon M7.

Tflogic i supose the seame reason i am looking for aosp elementalx. There is no support for s2w or dt2w nor l2m in páranoid android. I must say i like paranoid because its light and stabke but laks of those characteristics that can be enabled in GPE or sense based roms.
Is there a way to make a workaroun in order to make it to work on aosp roms like paranoid android. Thanks.

Kernels

Hey guys anyone know how to manually flash a kernel on the Desire Z?
Do only need to flash the boot.img via fastboot?
it's probably better done as a zip package you flash via recovery.
Grab one of the other "kernel only" packages and unpack it to see how they do it.
Risk is a bit higher to do it from fastboot, especially if you're not sure you did it right.

There's quite a bit more to it, than just flashing a kernel onto a rom. (Also I doubt a 3.x kernel designed for 4.0 is going to work on 3.6)

Upgrade to one of the Full Sense 4.0 (Virtuous Infinity) or one of the Sense 4.0A roms that has incorporated the 3.0 kernel from the Infinity rom.

[Q] Sense vs Original ROMS, stability

Hello, I'm currently on a Sense ROM (Revolution HD 15), I didn't had any problems so far but I want to upgrade to a newer ROM version.
How an original ROM is comparing to a Sense ROM in terms of stability? I'm using NOVA Launcher so I didn't really care about Sense UI.
what do you mean with original rom...do you mean pure android like CM or AOSP rom? there is also already revolution hd 20.1 out...try it out it's really fine

I mean AOSP, there are some nice apps that work only on 4.2
I don't really have much time to try ROMs that's why I asked. :good:

which apps do you mean work only with 4.2.2? and no one can say which is the best because you have to see it yourself because not for everyone kernel and rom are working the same...therefore if you have time try it

In my own experience, Sense ROMs have better battery life. Lots of Mods are available and we have great roms over there which are fast, stable and bug free.
But AOSP Roms come with lots of goodies. Especially PA Roms with lots of customization (Nice UI manipulations there). You will be able to feel the essence of Android. 4.2.2 is super fast and super smooth.
You may check it for your self, it's really hard to say in words! Everyone should try it once. Trust me!

I wanted to try DashClock Widget
I think I'll try latest version of Android Revolution.
From what I read I need to upgrade HBOOT. Can someone point me to a simple to follow step-by-step? (also I only have Windows 8 installed)
I don't know if it's me or installing a new ROM is so much harder than on Galaxy S.
Also I did a nandroid backup and I wanted to copy the back-up on my PC. I connected the phone via USB, and the clockworkmod folder was empty, I had to uploaded on Dropbox from my phone to be able to save it on PC.

General about Kernels and Roms

Sorry for me not understanding everything regarding kernels and roms but had some questions.
Why can't new ROMs be built with Android 4.3 for the HTC One for Verizon? I know a developer was saying that HTC needs to release the source code/kernel until it could be built.
- Side note: how are the other roms able to port Sense 5.5 into HTC One already (I Believe its from HTC One Max)? From what I understand Sense 5.5 is not out yet for regular users. Wouldn't you need the kernel/source for Sense 5.5 to port it or is it because there is already source for 4.2.2 (which the HTC One Max runs on) that is why they can port Sense 5.5, just move over the changed files....?
If that's the case how come there are Android 4.3.1 AOSP ROMS for the HTC One like Vanir, CM2, Mokee. Is it because they are built from AOSP? So because the AOSP source is open then that's why we can build those AOSP roms?
Yes. HTC sense is not open until they release the source...unlike aosp which can be modified for our device tree. If sense is being ported to our phone prior to 4.3 dropping...it is because it is not 4.3.

[Q] Try to install CM 10.2/11 with ElementalX Kernel : Blue Screen Issue

Hello,
First, sorry for my bad english, I'm french.
I try to install this kernel in the Cm 10.2/11, but, one time I reboot the tablet, google logo appear, then, blue screen appear.
Do you have a solution? Need CM on my N7 13.
Thank's
Only certain kernels support cm

ElementalX will not work on AOSP or CM roms; installing it will either brick them or cause random reboots.

Actually elemental x will work on aosp based ROMs.
The only kernals you can use on cm are ones that are compatible with them and elemental x doesnt work on cm.

I stand corrected.
You need a kernel that's says CAF compatible. Try glitch kernel, very good. Also I'd suggest reading more before doing things that could potentaly brick your device. Hope you made a backup first.
