I need help figuring out a way around this.
I have a widget showing my connection status in Zooper as H, E, G, LTE, etc....
But sometimes I have a DC connection (duel connection when the phone is connecting to the tower twice to increase speeds). This screws Zooper up and instead of showing DC in the widget it shows NONE. See the orange baseball jersey at the bottom for what I mean. Look at the signal bars at the top to see what the phone is reporting its' status as.
So I have an active data connection but Zooper is reporting that I don't. Is there a way around this?
Maybe a way to force Zooper to report 2G, 3G, 4G isntead of E, H, LTE? Or just force it to display something other than NONE when the phone is in a DC status?

I don't know why it's tiny. It's clickable to make it bigger....
Sent from your phone. You should be more careful where you leave that thing.

Sense has a neat little widget to toggle 3G service on and off. You can see it here in the upper left corner.

The problem is that I've grown quite accustomed to ADW.Launcher and Sense widgets aren't available in ADW. I've searched the market for some sort of 3G toggle, but can't seem to find anything at all. Does anyone know one that works outside of Sense?
Thanks!
You can hold down the power button and the last option is "Mobile network to connect to Internet." Should have the same effect, just not a widget.

Thanks man! That's better than sifting through menus. I'll use that unless/until something better comes along.
i just flash the new UGLA4 radio and im not sure about the results. i have some screenshots to help explain my situation. my house is in a low reception area so all the yellow in the Network Signal is very normal.

as you can see in the second pic my time without singal is very high, but according to the first pic i only have 1 tiny red spot in the Mobile network signal indicating no signal. So which one do i believe? is the time without signal count weak signal in the 56%? Everytime i check phone status it shows that im connect to my carrier Fido. Battery usage is also very good, i lost about 3% last night and have 49mins of screen on time with this charge.
I have my signal in the status bar being reported by dBm and the lowest is 113 dBm, maybe when it hits this level the phone considers this in "Time without Singal"? But even at 113dBm is still shows that its connected to mobile network.

When I open the llama app, the recent tab does not show any cell sites. It only shows no signal/unknown or :-1:-1:-1 which I think is just the default for when setting up a new phone. I even clicked on the areas tab for home or work and start learning area for 4 hours or so. The only time when I can actually catch cell sites is when I turn off lte and only use 3g data. I'm not sure why the LTE data mode would not be able to capture any cell sites. My phone is rooted with stump root and I have made a few tweaks with G3 Tweaksbox. Other than that not sure why the sites aren't captured.
Can someone else test this on their Sprint LG G3?
Thank you
I can't get Llama to learn any of my locations.
I upgraded from a Galaxy Nexus to a HTC One M8 Google Play edition. The thing I miss is the following -
On the Nexus, where the signal strength bars are shown, there are two arrows (pointing upwards and downwards) that appear when trying to do anything involving data. Additionally, the bars are white when they are unable to access Google and become blue when they can. I have often used this as a quick indicator of things are working as they should.
On the HTC One M8, there's nothing. I am absolutely not able to tell if there's any activity or not.

Is there any equivalent on an unrooted HTC M8 Google Play Edition?
Interesting you point that out.
My Stock M8 TMobile unit shows the up and down arrows to the left of the singal bars, under 4GLTE. So i know when i have active data going in or out of the phone.
I do agree with you that the blue indicating connectivity to google is sorely missed.
I have played with Nexus devices and i always liked the blue.
Hi!
I've had Zooper since my Galaxy S2. So it's been a while and I'm about up on my Nexus5 so the better half of four years has gone by.
Sad to say Zooper still cannot tell me what my cell signal strength is. The ASU is always 99 and dBm is always 85. It never change changes. It's odd to think I have app called Network Signal Pro that gets this information at the ready. I've attached a screenshot of a simple Zooper widget and a widget from the fore mentioned app.

Hate to kick the dust up but it's not fair that the GSM network devices people have get this info and those on a CDMA network do not. I paid for my app way back when and it'd be nice to see this work. I really can't create anything that has a cell signal in it for myself or anybody since I can't tell if it works.
I hope somebody has some insight into this matter!
Thanks for lending me your ear!
