Have you read THIS
There are people offering remote flashing services on ebay. I have had 4 Sprint phones flashed to StraightTalk, using Verizon towers. 2 of them were S3's. If I find the link, I'll message it to you. If you have access to all menus, you can change the APN. You will need to use a 3rd party messaging app. They'll hook you up

I'm trying to finish getting an evo to metropcs for a friend. I did everything you need to do to get to the point of "activation". I put a newer Metro prl on the phone that works here in the ny area... but when i try to activate it or even call I get redirected to a verizon operator. The signal bar says I'm roaming and where it should say "MetroPCS" on the lockscreen its says"Analog B". Will an evo on metro pcs even work in the NY area? If not I just wasted a huge amount of time
Did you get the esn registered to metropcs? must I add must be considered coorperate store

go to settings>wireless settings>mobile networks>system select> change it to home only then also....make sure you still have the MetroPCS prl installed...dial *228 and make sure it says "hello hello hello metropcs" and if it does u might as well update the roaming list...say update roaming list after it says it

If I'm correct the instructions you've provided will only allow me to connect to the towers that my PRL tells me too. Which makes sense since having it set to "automatic" will allow to roam and connect to a verizon tower, due to a roaming agreement between metro and verizon. Thanks for that hint. So I just did as instructed and It says I have no service (the little "x" by the bars.) oh I also followed these steps to re-start a hands free activation:
Steps:
1. Dial ##3282#
2. Enter Edit Mode
3. Enter your MSL
4. Select Data Profile
5. Menu
6. Restore
7. Let Phone Reboot, and Wait and the Hands Free Activation will Start.
and of course It didn't work because i have no service
Damn...I'm at a loss here...
Yep...get the esn set up with metro...
Damn guess I better, thanks for the input. I appreciate it
I realized that the esn on this evo is already added to the metro network.. due to some unmentionable modifications. I simply cant get service to activate the phone..
My Sprint network services suck, and I still have my old metropcs account active.. so I was wondering.. would it be possible to activate metropcs data on my 4g touch activated for sprint?
Anyone? Not trying to steal service as my metropcs account is still active. I can use the modem mac from my old phone if needed,

... but note in that thread says 4G won't work. Might help you though.
I already know I wont get 4G, but working 3G sure would be nice. I want to try and set it up for testing. I am currently using forced roaming with the hacked verizon prl, but if I keep this up I will eventually be kicked from Sprint.
Yes, you can flash metro pcs onto your Sprint ET4G. I have mine flashed. However, I can't get mms to work. So, 3g works, text, talk...no mms. I had someone from Craigslist flashed it for $40...

Hey, I have been at this for some time. I'm very confused about some things. I currently have the Samsung Epic 4g Touch (Galaxy S2). To my knowledge my SPC is now set to 000000, and most the QPST settings (OR CDMA settings if you prefer) are set and correct.
I was wondering if there's anyway you can shoot me a response or PM with how to get everything working. I don't even have data at all. I can't seem to figure it out.
Doesn't Metro use Sprint towers?
If so, I doubt you will notice a difference in speed/signal strength!
I have also unlocked my phone and have set my setitgs correctly via QDMA and as far as I know MetroPCS has stopped updating ESN numbers unless its a Metro phone. any news on this?

I understand that there are some hardware differences between the Sprint SPH-L900 and the US Cellular SCH-R950 such as the lack of sim card slot on the Sprint version.
Let's say I had an SCH-R950 and wanted to convert it it to use on the Sprint network. Forget the ESN issues. Can I simply flash the SPH-L900 radio to the SCH-R950? Are there any other hurdles to jump?
no you cannot do that. to get on the sprint network you need to add your esn and other info to their network. which they don't allow. so flashing a radio will do nothing besides mess up the phone a little just wanting to switch services i take it? there are a lot other networks you could get on.

I mentioned I was aware of the esn issues and to forget them.
I'm not concerned with making phone calls or having data just yet. Can I make the phone a Sprint phone? Accept Sprint updates, show the Sprint logo on boot up, see the Sprint network, etc?

i know you said it but... never mind
you can make it a partial sprint phone haha. here's what you can do. you can run the latest sprint LK8 update. you can show the sprint logo on boot up/shutdown. you can see the sprint network with a prl change. so basically you can do everything except logon to their network for data and voice calls. there's no way to get your phone on their network other than roaming from uscc or another carrier with roaming agreements with sprint. unless you do some unmentionable illegal activity.
if you want to get the sprint updates on your phone you will need to root and install cwm. come join us over here http://teamuscellular.com/Forum/forum/299-samsung-galaxy-note-2/
i can assist you with getting this all on your phone.

On my way! Thank you!
Someone help!
Sooo...I have a US cellular note 2...what fun things are you trying to do with yours? I'm merely looking for a sim unlock. ..but now I am curious
Well technicaly speaking, I guess if you can get recent PRL and Profile from Sprint and see there network, yiu could possibly change your IMEID / MDN to am existing phone from sprint "kinda like cloaning" and it would work. Your phone would just register on the network as whatever IMEID/MDN the phone was. Data would be available as well as voice.
Just speculation.

I am not interested in cloning at all. All I want to accomplish is exactly what I originally posted. Can anyone help me with that?
I need the PRL and Profile.
Didnt say you wanted to cloan. Its just kinda how the proccess would work lol.
Anyways, might wanna hit up a kernel dev, its going to require some base level work. I would say try flashing a stock kernel but you would risk a brick.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2
flashing their radio and kernels will do you know good. especially the kernels. you just need to get into the programming menus of the USCC phone. i've yet to find the codes for it. :/
so after flashing a rom and then going back to my back up that i made i no longer have service and i get a message at boot saying to activate my phone.
under about phone my phone number doesnt show up correct, the imei is incorrect. any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated while i continue to look on how to fix this as well
You can try ##72786# to reactivate it on the Sprint Network. If you Flashed the device to say Boost, or some other prepaid that will not work.
ill keep that in mind if i can get it to connect to the sprint network, got the meid & imei number, now its just the
phone number that is showing up as 000-000-0016
prl version 0
ive already flashed freezas md4 modem prior to this as well.
i am currently in the process of flashing a rooted stock rom and going to do a profile and prl update,
If you do what he told you it will reset your device on the sprint network and update prl and profile at the same time. It's the code sprint uses yo force activate the devices. Just saying save yourself 20 steps.

Glad to hear your all sorted
So my father handed me his Galaxy S3 from Sprint and explained that he wanted it switched over to Boost Mobile because he had been having contract difficulties. Nevertheless, I've sucessfully rooted it and switched over the ROM to the stock Boost ROM and had begun changing over the APN data. I'd found a copy of the Boost APN settings and was able to restore that .xml file to the phone to get standard phone calls and text messages to work on the phone.
From this point forward is where things get complicated. I can not seem to get data and mms to work and have tried everything to get it to work. I've tried the ##72786# and the only thing it seems to do is reboot the phone and require that I re input the PTN and MSID. The phone itself is running KitKat currently and has the NDC version of the stock Boost ROM. Any insight as to how I can get this phone ready to go with at least 3G? (LTE's not really a thing here) Thansk!

PS The network name is called Samsung for what it's worth. Not sure if that has to do with anything.

You can't simply change it over to Boost by putting a boost rom on it. You have to call Boost and get them to switch the phone over. You don't have data because your phone isn't on a phone plan . Call boost and get the phone activated and you'll be good to go.

I'm so sorry but I may have under-explained this situation. I grabbed the ESN and MSID from a donor phone that we had laying around, and wrote them to the S3 using a combination of DFS and CDMA Workshop. The ESN from the donor phone was then registered to Boost Mobile and everything went smoothly until I tried to grab for data. This would be the problem that I'm facing. Calling boost might work, but I'd have to be careful what I say lest they be on to my evil schemes (lol). What I believe it needs is a data profile update, since I'm not too sure I've programmed it in ##DATA# properly. Alas I'm trying to look for a workaround so that I can get into the phones menu and connect to the Boost Mobile Data network, but I'm kinda lost as to direction.
