Hi There,
I just installed KitKat 4.4 on my Note 2. I would like to know if its still possible to install CyanogenMOD 10 or 11 on this ROM using the techniques found on this forum.

I am currently using Omega 18v (Android 4.1.2)
I would like to upgrade my omega rom to any other custom 4.4.2 kit kat rom..
Now my question is..
1) Can i flash rom directly from 4.1.2 to new downloaded 4.4.2 rom
{ I believe that first we have to upgrade android to STOCK 4.3 and then i need to install 4.4.2 right.. }
Please correct me if i wrong.
2) If I take my 4.1.2 android nand backup using philz recovery..
and then i will install 4.4.2 rom..
Now after installing 4.4.2 can i able to restore my previous backup ie.. 4.1.2
{ I saw some threads and posts that we cannot downgrade our rom from 4.4.2 to 4.1.2..}
Please solve my questions.
sorry for my bad english..

Yes you can directly flash 4.4.2 even if you are coming from 4.1.2 ROM,only thing you'd need is MJ5 bootloader (it's the last known bootloader that is KNOX free and works perfectly with 4.3 and 4.4.2 Touch wiz rom as well 4.4 AOSP ROM .You need MJ5 bootloader basically to have Wifi Working. Some people managed to get it working by staying on old bootloader and only flashing Dr.Ketan's wifi fix but in either case you don't need to upgrade to official 4.3 to flash 4.4.2.If you upgrade to stock 4.3 from samsung you will have Knoxed bootloader which will prevent downgrading to 4.1.2.So if you think you'd ever want to go back to 4.1.2 ROM then you shouldn't upgrade to stock 4.3 and just flash custom roms (after flashing the mj5 bootloader).I can provide you download link and instructions for MJ5 bootloader which can be flashed after upgrading your ROM to 4.3 or 4.4.2.Make sure you have a backup of your 4.1.2 ROM along with EFS PARTITION(that's a must) and then proceed ahead with flashing new ROMS.
MJ5 Bootloader download link
How to flash Bootloader
thanks dude. .!!
Thanks for ur rply..
And also thanks for the link..
And one more question. . If I dint like the 4.4.2 rom can I downgrade using my 4.1.2 nand backup.? Even though if I flash mj5 bootloader
I bought my G Pad and it came with 4.4.2 on it and it has stock recovery. Is there a way for me to flash a stock 4.2.2 rom or TWRP so I can use a custom rom?
Anyone?

To flash most of the custom ROMS u need to be on 4.2.2 (i.e. to upgrade boot loader).
1. First upgrade to 4.2.2 preferably ...MK3 version,
2. Take nandroid backup and then experiment with custom ROMS until u choose the desired one.

pacman rom uses 32bit architecture and euphoria uses 64 bir architecture.
so before you flash euphoria rom you have to flash cm12 rom official update and after that you can flash euphoria rom.
and if you are experienced person then follow this GUIDE
this guide contain a flashable file using this file you can flash direct euphoria from your pacman rom.
other wise to be safe.
just flash cyanogen official cm12 and then flash euphoria.
Thanks Bro Used The Guide and flashed the rom
one last question can i revert back to 32bit pacman rom using nandroid backup??????? that i made using twrp

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo.
if you do this you will brick your mobile.
if you want to go to kitkat first downgrade using this GUIDE
and then you can flash any kitkat base rom
So should I flash cm11 first then restore nandroid backup using twrp?????

first you should decide what you want to do ?
will you want to go for lollipop or do you want to restore your back up ?
and yes if you want to restore backup you should be on kitkat only.
Thanks Bro:thumbup:

hello guys,
I decided to stop waitin for official rom from samsung and will just go with custom. which rom should i try?? i want something similar to the official samsung rom with no custom additions and ofcourse stable with no problems.
I have note 2 - N7100
what would you suggest?
i'm also interested
there aren't many of them, so just start with CM and resurrection and I bet you will be surprised.
I have a n7100 note 2 and I am also looking to apply a custom ROM.
My n7100 currently runs Samsung stock ROM Android 4.4.2
I have already installed ROOT, TWRP 3.0.0.0 and taken a backup using TWRP. Also took a separate backup of the efs partition.
I want to install Resurrection Remix ROM of Android 5.1.1 - note though that this has now had development stopped. Guess they are moving on to Android 6.x
Can I pose some (technical) questions here or better for another thread?
Thanks
